Peublo stared at Nehanda; how strange she was! The owl head cocked a little and let her transparent eyelids flicker. "Peep?" She watched Nehanda turn her head upside down. Pueblo, naturally knowing her head could also do tricks, turned her head upside down mockingly as much as she could.

Fae smiled broadly until it broke into a grin. "Pueblo came out of her jar just two days ago! She's still getting used to her surroundings," she nodded and played with Pueblo's flight feathers. "And it's nice to meet the rest of your group, too,"she quickly added.

Twizzler's eyes went wide at a girl running up to him. She almost looked familiar from somewhere, then tugged on Fae's sleeve. "Is she from the orphanage too?" He whispered quietly.

Fae looked down and bit her lip. "I don't know. Did Dragonfly...?" She trailed off in her sentence. Foenix would know what she was talking about if she didn't have to finish her sentence.

Sage nodded to Foenix but was hessitant. The last time he saw Freya, she had left with a little extra. He blushed but quickly flew off into the tree in a low branch. He looked around for Freya until he spotted her resting. She looked so pretty asleep too. Shaking himself awake, he crawled over and leaned over her face. "Freya?" He poked.

Nehanda "merped!" in surprise and untwisted her head so quickly that she fell off of Foenix's shoulder. Catching herself mid-air, she fluttered over to look more closely at the new gryphon.

Foenix reached down to pay Nahda's head and nodded. "Dfly did indeed. Nahda's fitting quite well into our family, although she takes a little too much pleasure in teasing Kylara . . ."

Nahda gazed over at Twizzler, then ran forward. "Hi! Are you from the same place as me?" The ebulliant child reached out and grabbed Twizzler's hand, ready to play.

Up in the tree, Freya sat up in startlement at Sage's poke. "Wha-?!" Rubbing her eyes, she realized that her friend was sitting in front of her. "Sage!" she immediately turned bright red, remembering that kiss.

Pueblo's ears perked suddenly and un-twisted her head as well. The owl/wolf clicked her beak and started to move within Fae's arms, shifting around and wiggling. Part of her wanted out to explore and play with Nehanda and did just that. Leaping out of her guardian's arms (after clawing a little), she dived off her arms and glided greacfully to the ground. Her feet still slightly wobbly, she flicked her tail and pranced around under the swan. A ruffle of feathers grew in her throat and tried jumping at Nehanda.

Fae's brows raised. "Well there ya go, Twizzy! Your first friend," she smiled. Looking around the area, she gazed upon the picknick layout. "Ooo, a picknick, eh?" She grinned slightly, hinting politely.

Twizzler clung to Fae's sleeve until it was ripped out and carried by another girl's hand. He blinked, confused, but allowed her to take him where she wanted. He didn't mind-actually, he rather liked being with a PERSON his age. "Who's the big kitty-fox?" He asked, knowing these animals from books back at the Orphanage.

Ombre, however, was of course stalking and spying on her older brother and his "girlfriend". She grinned darkly, mischeviously, peering from behind a large leaf that hid her dark body amongst the shadows. She watched and plotted.

Sage quickly leaned back as soon as Freya sat up. He smiled half way, rubbing his arm. "Hey.." he said somewhat normally. "How's you?" He asked, his English grammer not perfect.

Nehanda merped and fluttered around the other gryphon. It had been quite a few days since she had been able to play with another gryphon her size. Acia was really, really great, but Nehanda had a major case of hero-worship for he older Aerandir. Pueblo was someone she could be silly with! She playfully dove at her tail, liking the look of the furry appendage.

Nahda laughed. "That's Kylara! She has an egg that someone gave her for Valentine's Day. It's really fun to take the egg and run away and hide! I know she's really big, but she's really soft and furry, and sometimes she'll let me ride on her back!" The cheerful girl leaned in close and whispered to Twizzler, "Kylara doesn't talk out loud. She talks in your head!"

Foenix grinned at Fae's hint and gestured toward the blanket. "Yup! Come join us. I was hoping we'd bump into someone, so I brought a lot. Just the usual spread of sandwiches, fruits, veggies, some chopped liver for Kylara -although I'm sure she'd be happy to share- and brownies!"

Freya fought against her flush and managed to answer Sage. "Oh, I'm doing okay. Foenix has been very busy with Nehanda's garden, so I've been digging around in the dirt a lot. What have you been up to?"

Pueblo's ears fell back and scratched at the ground with her front paw, staring straight up as Nehanda died for her tail behind the wolf. This was Pueblo's first playmate and her first time being outside; she found Nehanda fun.

Still timid, however, Pueblo felt her tail being lifted and hooted deeply, tail snapping between her legs and scampered a few feet away. She turned around and stared at Nehanda as if she was crazy, then hooted again. She cocked her head, thinking, registering actions.
If anything else, Pueblo was also curious but cautious as well. Beautifuly, the owl's wings unfolded and spread apart on the ground, then gave a few powerful beats until she was up into the air. Now she could dive at the much slower swan with her owl's great speed. >D

Twizzy looked at Nahda strangely. Was she serious? "You're joking," he exclaimed. He didn't believe that. This girl was crazy!

Fae, noticing the time, saw how late it had gotten. After being invited to t he picknick and ate a few items, she scooped up seconds, wrapped them in a napkin, and placed them inside her satchel. "Well, it's getting late. Such a short day it seemed, too. Hey, if you're not doing anything this weekend, maybe we could get together at my house or something?" She asked, standing. "I need some ideas for my house," she smiled.

Sage smiled and sat down beside Freya on the branch. Now what? He wasn't sure if he was even ready to have a relationship...such thoughts brought redness in his grey cheeks unnoticingly. "Me? Oh uh-you-er met Twizzy and uhm played with Pueblo. Not a whole lot..." Smooth, Sage, real smooth.

Nehanda was surprised by Pueblo's sudden switch from land to air. with a merp of surprised pleasure, she beat her large wings and climbed higher, until she found a strong breeze that smelled strongly of the sea. Happily, she glided away form the other gryphon.

Nahda giggled again. It was, after all, one of her favorite noises. "No, really! Come on, I'll show you." She dragged the poor boy over to the Jivvin. "Hey Kylara," she chirped. This is Twizzy, and he doesn't believe that you talk in our heads. Say hi! I'll even hold your egg for you . . ."

The Jivven sat up and narrowed her eyes at the cheerful Tahnee. *I don't think so, you obnoxious, devious child.* In a sudden switch of tone, she brought her eyes over to meet Twizzler's. *It is a pleasur eto meet you. i wish you well in your . . . adventures with this one here.* She indicated Nahda.

Foenix nodded, sipping absently at a cup of icea tea. "Well, Satureday's completely out. I've got a dance competition that'll last all day, and I'm going to be completely wiped by the time i get home. Sunday could work, though. I'd love to come over and see your place."

Freya nodded at Sage and dangled her legs from the branch. His adorable stuttering did not in the least put her off. In fact, she found it quite endearing, and very reassuring. It made her feel a little more comfortable in her own nervousness about where their friendship was heading.

Pueblo beated her wings, peeping out to the other Aerandir as she glided away in the ocean breeze. The small owl eyes glanced down upon the water, not wishing to fly over it and hooted at Nehanda. Her feet tightly curled up against her body, they stretched out towards the ground as she landed. The air was lovely, but she was unsure about the sea at the moment..

Twizzler's eyes widened as he suddenly heard the creatures voice...or so it seemed, inside his head. A little disturbed by this, he bit his lower lip and waved to the Jivven timidly. O.K, I was polite long enough...right? I said hi..now it's time to go! Pressure worked against the boy before he quickly fled over to his guardian.

Fae smiled as Pueblo glided down. "Very good, Pueblo! Your flying skills are quite well for a first timer," she appraised, then looked to Foenix. "Alright then! I hope to see you Sunday. For now, we should get going," she indicated and called for everyone. Sage bit his lip and quickly took Freya's hand, gave it a squeeze with a hopeful smile, then quickly rushed to Fae along with Ombre. The group once again set off back to Fae's house were they would prepare for company.

((Sorry about the delay. >< Trying my best e.e And Sunday..might have to be re-squedualed RP :/))

Ieyasu stepped outside his house, closing the wooden door with a soft click. As he adjusted the rucksack over his shoulders, the deer chaser thunked. Paying it no attention, he took a few paces from the house, gazing around.

Ieyasu hadn't had too much time to spend exploring, socialising or generally kicking about the past couple of days. Now, he intended to make up for that. And he'd begin by taking a wander around the little settlement. Who knew - perhaps he would bump into someone or something interesting.

Taking care not to jolt the bag, he took off at a leisurely pace, just wandering, watching the sights and listening to the sounds.

Foenix limped her way toward Fae's house. There was an ace wrap on her ankle and she carried a cane, but she was managing to move at a fairly rapid pace. Nehanda and Nahda fluttered behind her. Kylara had stayed home with the excuse of a newly-hatched sprite -and the explanation that she made at least one of Fae's family members extremely nervous.

Fae had looked at the time: Foenix would be nearly here! Since she had tidied her house up the night before, there really wasn't more to do left. She made sure she knew where everyone was before she scooped Pueblo up and stepped outside.

The sun was low but not dark yet. Pueblo's ears stood up on end as she noticed the sun was going down and squirmed around in her guardian's arms. Fae squinted her eyes behind her rounded glasses in search for any signof Foenix- then, there she was, heading across the ground. Fae waved and stood on her toes. "Hey, Foenix!" She cried out, reguardless if there was anyone else outside.

Foenix looked up at Fae's shout, and waved in reply. She quickened her pace, and soon reached her friend's porch. "Afternoon, Fae," she said. "good to see you."

Nehanda merped and flew up to Pueblo, eager to interact with the gryphon again. Foenix grinned after her little girl, then took a good look at Fae's house. It was about the same size as the rest of the village's buildings, but Fae had obviously already begun to put her own stamp on it. The porch was recently swept, and the red-head nodded in approval. "Well, shall we get started?"
PostPosted: Sun Feb 20, 2005 2:28 pm

The setting sun had cast a golden glow, the shadows beginning to grow long. As far as Ieyasu could tell, the village seemed to be very quiet. Surely someone is alive around here...?

Then, all of a sudden, a shout broke the relative quiet. Turning in the direction of the noise, Ieyasu stared quizzically. He could see a figure standing just outside one of the houses, waving frantically. He couldn't see the person who was the recipient, this 'Foenix'.

Then, from behind one of the buildings obscuring his view, another figure moved into his line of sight. There was something else too, a little silhouette of a creature flittering about. That gave Ieyasu something to think about. What was that??

Fae's brows furrowed as she got closer. "What happened..?! Are you alright?" She asked, refurring to the cane and ace.

Pueblo's eyes widened and flapped her wings in Fae's arms. Once she was let loose, she floated to the ground and shook her body. She sat down and quickly rose her back leg to scratch behind her ear at a rapid pace, claws retracting. Satisifed with the scratch, she clicked her beak and stood there waiting as Nehanda flew to her. Pueblo was a patient Aerandir.

Foenix scowled down at the wrap and swung her cane in reply. "Oh, my partners and I did really well at the competition yesterday. Unfortunately, that also meant that I was dancing a LOT, and I have a history of ankle problems. It's really just a bit overworked, but I got out of bed this morning and fell over!"

Nehanda immediately came to rest of the ground, and performed a clumsy little buck of excitement, kicking her back legs up into the air. she quickly ran around Pueblo, ready to play.

Nahda looked down at the gryphons, and reached up to tug on Fae's pants. "Where's Twizzy?"

Coming to a decision, Ieyasu turned and headed closer. He wanted to see what that little creature was, and a little indistinct blob seen from a distance wasn't going to satisfy anyone's curiousity.

As he came closer, he could see that there were in fact five different living beings about. The two figures that he had seen from a distance, the little flying creature, plus another one, and a smaller figure, childlike in size and shape.

He could make out the flying creatures more clearly now. The two were obviously very different from each other. One was lithe and pale, short furred, large winged and graceful. The other was a little stockier, with handsome colouring, sleeker wings and a rounded face. Interesting, very interesting.. Are these some of the Aerandir gryphons? He thought of the jar behind him, and the little pieces of fluff and feather.

Realising that he was staring at the little gryphons, he looked up to the girls. "Sorry, didn't mean to bump in on whatever you were doing. I just wanted to get a closer look at the little winged ones down there." He motioned to Nehanda and Pueblo.
