"You don't have to scream. I can hear you just fine, thanks. What in Lau's name is going on here?" Basti didn't think that he would ever get used to randomly teleporting to places. Plus, the girl who had found him was just about as odd as the ones who had been on the verge of swooning in the last place. At least she wasn't trying to pull his feathers out.

Wait, that was probably because he didn't have any at the moment, but that could be fixed. It was always odd to but his wings back on because he didn't take them off that often, but soon enough there were familiar feathers against his back as he folded his wings to keep them out of the way of whatever Zen was...cooking?

Basti finally cast a glance around the room that the girl had taken him to, noticing that it was a good sized kitchen, and that Angela had run out the door.

"Is she alright? Where are the others?"

Zen sighed, using the same voice disembodiment Atra did in order to talk to Angela who was not running through the halls of his quarters.
"You deal with it by not running off and cherishing them while they're around... then you deal with it by remembering them, like nobody else will when the eons go by.... but don't you ever say that again! I've had enough people curse their souls or die in my name, I don't want yours added to it."

Zen gave up, and let her go explore after his lecture. He went back to cooking after that and talking normally, "hungry Basti? Sorry about that, I'm afraid you missed a lot of chaos."

"I found the kid wandering around..." Togada informed Zensekai, while inspecting Basti curiously.

Atra almost laughed again, but his interest was at last peaked by Akutenshi.
"Doctor huh? Well, glad someone appreciates my incredibleness. Zen has all the crazy fangirls, it gets awkward to be honest. "I suppose you had that blind guy, Toshi was it?"

Angela stopped running and leaned against a wall, panting as she leaned over and clutched her head. "Leave me alone!" she shouted.

What the hell kind of comfort was that? Telling her to enjoy her time with them and remember them. Who would feel better by being told that? She wasn't some damn immortal who'd been born knowing they'd outlive the universe. She was just a normal person cursed with some kind of annoying heritage.

"And I'll do and say what I bloody well please!" she shouted as an after thought because if she wanted to die for someone she cared about, that was her choice. And she was sick of people trying to make her decisions for her.

She yanked off the necklace and ring Zen had given her and threw them down the hall.

And then immediately felt a pang of guilt and went to search for them.

"I know these things, it's all I have to do around here. Just like I know our favorite sexy lady has stormed off in a pouty fit from Zenny benny. Anything you'd like to know about you? People like to ask me stupid questions, I figure might as well let you have a few." Atra was feeling amused, and he was amused he could even feel amused.

Zen poured the pasta into a bowl for Basti, figuring Angela wasn't going to be eating it. "This is my home Basti, we're waiting for Des to fetch Cheeva and Inutai now."
Togada had vanished again, she was off to visit the odd crazy lady who was shouting at firetop.

Angela ended up in a study with two large portraits of two women. They didn't match and looked like they'd been moved from somewhere else. under them were two stands with various objects on them like a shrine.
One portrait was of a pretty red headed woman with green eyes and eyed feathers on her bodice. She had a plated gold bracelet on her left arm, just like the other woman.
The other woman was entirely white from head to toe. Her cheeks were white, and her hair was too. Her eyes crystally blue, and her gown was the same color, with a stream of thousands of pearls strung on a triangle broach that was tied around her neck and waist.

Angela looked up at the paintings curiously, wondering who they were and why there were shrines built to them.

Then she flopped into a chair, pulling her knees up to her chest and rested her chin on them. If this is what immortals were, how could she hope to become part of a world like this?

She was so small and she knew so little. She had so many flaws.

That damn Atra. It was a pity he didn't have face. If he did, she would definitely him. Not that it would change a bloody thing. And he was probably spying on her now being all smug.

Which also pissed her off. Stupid, bloody immortals.

"Crap about your future, or someone else's. Or about the angry mob of demons that's on it's way here." Atra info dropped, nonchalantly to his new buddy.

"The Master wishes you'd come back, before the flying feather boy eats all your food." Togada told Angela abruptly.

"It's my favorite!" Zen handed the food to Basti and a fork, while making him a drink of sweet tea.
He was putting a second batch of pasta on, figuring someone else would show up eventually.

"I could care less about my future or anyone else's for that matter, and I suppose that angry mob of demons is angry for a reason. Why would I bother with them?" Akutenshi asked, shifting into a more slightly position. He wanted to pace back and forth, or at least in circles, but that'd be rather difficult in the dark. Instead, he busied himself with tapping his foot while he thought of something to ask him. "Then could I ask about you? Like, what are you, exactly? At least, what did you used to be?"
