 He gave another groan, trying this damned obstacle again. Ravyn stuck his arms out at his sides, walking cautiously once more, but far quicker than the first two times. He jumped over the spots where other campers had fallen into the log and ducked when one of those damned seagulls were aimed at him. The only trouble he had this time was that stupid beaver again. This time he was ready for it. The gray audio grabbed that bugger and threw him clear to the other side of the pit. No gnawing on this guy's tail. Not anymore.
Once he was off the log he took a moment to realize that that was the last of the course. He sat down to debate doing it again or not... Hard choice, he had failed three times already. He would fail more if he went back, but he could do the course again at least once and maybe not fail... Maybe..

 Jay casually walked to the cliff, not impressed with the creativity of this obstacle. So what if they got no tools? The camp's low budget maintenance didn't surprise her a bit. Damn, Jay was becoming quite the pessimist. But hey, what do you expect at 4 in the morning, hm? Rolling her eyes, she started towards it...
((edited after the roll)) WHOA! Jay barely had time to widen her eyes as she was thrown back, laughing, onto a mattress below. What a damn thrill! Was she crazy? Not in her own mind! Still chuckling madly and now fully awake, Jay rushed forward for another go..

Second time was the charm; Jay, now with the extra adrenaline rush provided by the prior explosion, scaled the wall with practical ease. Sure, there was a loose rock here and there, but no explosive sent her flying. She was, admittedly, a bit upset by this fact. That damn explosion had been the highlight of the morning by far! What was next? Something involving a rope across a river. Right... Still pumped, Jay headed in towards the next obstacle..

It was time... to do it again.
After having attempted it once, Alice had since appeared on the scene, and the young girl promised her companion that she would try to run the obstacle course with her. After giving her a good luck hug (and trip, as apparently Zoë's footing wasn't quite as steady as she thought it'd been!), she got down on her hands and feet and once again began to crawl under the wiring.
She'd done well last time... but could she manage it again?

Oh now this doesnt look THAT hard. Besides the alltell signs of this being a really mucky challenge- it didnt seem that bad...right?
Grinning Alice nodded over at Zoe- they decided to attempt this challenge together as well. Lowering her body to the ground- she began to crawl one paw after the other as quick as posible.

So far, so good!
She happily clapped her hands as her friend made it across, and then turned to face the towering cliff once more. The mattress was looking quite ratty in comparison to her first go 'round, but she was hoping it was still sturdy enough to catch her, should she fall.
Having her companion there for encouragement, Zoë grabbed hold of the first ledge and started shimmying herself up the cliff, once more. Here's hoping she didn't lose her balance and topple down!

Oh, great, a gator pit... At least there was a rope... A semi sturdy rope. How excellent. This was, most probably, fate's way to get Jay back for eh.. Being elsewhere during the most recent last challenge. Not that her participation in that thing would've mattered... But her participation in this one most likely did. So, once again, Jay manned up and jumped onto the rope...
((edited after the roll)) And hey, it wasn't so bad! The whole deal only took a few seconds and she was across without a scratch on her! Chuckling, Jay went on to the next challenge, which looked like the "worst" of them all.

Zoë screamed as she flew back, the hidden mine not only taking her by surprise, but shocking her enough to topple down...down... and onto the ratty old mattress.
The humiliation of falling stung more than the actual fall itself (she was quite used to falling down, by this point in her life!), but she was determined she'd make it up. Alice was already climbing, and Zoë needed to catch up!
Shaking the dust and dirt off her, Zoë grabbed ahold of a rock and tried again.

Looking up at the height of the cliff- Alice admited to being a little Intimidated. It... didnt really help when she sw her friend slip and come back to the start. Cheering for Zoe as she also started up- she would see how far she could make it.
Hell if everyone else could... why not she?

Finally, she'd made it!
Feeling much better about herself, the happy sensation of accomplishment did not last long for poor Zoë as she turned her gaze to look onward to the gator pit.
They still looked raaaather hungry, if you asked her.
Giving Alice a firm pat on the back (moreso in attempt to distract her own nervous self), Zoë grabbed hold of the rope and swung...

This so far didnt seem THAT bad... or maybe she jsut had a lucky streak going on. Lets pray this luck kept up.
Grabbing the rope she pulled far back as she could- eyeing the water below her warily. Leaping off the edge she prayed she wasnt eaten by the alligators like the last challenge...

Zoë squeaked happily as she made it over successfully, Alice right on her heels. Despite the uh, problems with the cliff, things were looking good overall!
She stared at the log... that treacherous log.... and nodded her head. She WAS going to cross it this time!
Taking a hop, skip, and a jump, Zoë pounced onto the log and made a dash for it!

...oh man if the others weren't bad look at this doozy. She gave Zoe a look of "o god do we HAVE TO?"
Gulping she eyes the seagulls and beavers. Breathing one breath in- she hoped her luck continued to hold out. THis was some sort of obstacle coarse from hell... she almost preferred having the host still here. Then again he'd prolly do worse.
Dashing out onto the log- she dug her claws in deep.

Was Noel ready to go again? Yeah, the sitting down in fetal position had helped to calm him some. Noel did not like these challenges but if other people on his team could do it five times then so could he.
Charged and ready to go the mod got down on all fours and started crawling through the wires for a third time. Oh god. Hopefully he wouldn't get stuck again.

Jay actually had to take a deep breath for this one. It looked nearly impossible, what with the rotting log, the vicious-looking beavers and... Were those seagulls being shot from a machine gun?! What the hell was this s**t?! All atop a kidlet playpen. Greaaaat. Oh, well, she'd have to do it sooner or later..
((edited after the roll)) And, of course, her foot had to slip halfway through. At first she teetered there for a suspended moment, then fell to sit on the log in a way that'd hurt much more if she were male. Her legs instinctively clung to the log, but her hands weren't quick enough to get a hold and she was flipped upside down and hung there, legs aching, until a particularly angry seagull hit her. And so she fell, quite upset with her performance, but raged and willing to go again...
