Elizabeth nodded as they rounded a corner. "Just a bit farther." After a few more minutes they came to a dead end. She knocked three times, each having a timed pause inbetween. Finally the wall began to move, and it opened like a door, a small woman peaking her head around. "Elizabeth, why in the world are you coming from this way?" The girl was wearing red stains on her white clothing. "We had an unexpected... appearance." The nurse let them in. She looked at Strider. "Just put them on the table over there" She pointed before walking off.

Cher's heart lifted when the helicopters started to land. She was tired of sitting around, and unloading the boxes would occupy her mind. she kept telling herself that just because Elizabeth was her friend, didn't mean that she was supposed to be worried about ehr all the time. She paused. She always was worried for her to begin with.

Strider placed Chronos where he was instructed but kept the other. "Hey where might the furnaces be? This one still has some questions to answer."

Elizabeth thought. "Down in the basements. The quickest way to get there would be go back out in the tunnels and at the next break go right, then after exactly 10 steps turn to the left and knocked like I knocked earlier." She went to go grab a towel from the sink and wet it. "Phoenixes are there. If they ask questions, tell them that I sent you." The nurse came back in and took the towel from Elizabeth. "Gavin wanted to see you at the landing platform. He's helping unload the helocopter. I'll take care of Chronos." The nurses eyes burned like fire. "You know what to do." They both nodded at each other. "Strider, I'll catch you later. Let me know how your interigation goes." Elizabeth walked out of the room and headed to where Gavin was.

Meanwhile, at the landing platform, as people were unloading boxes from the chopper, a person was watching from her hiding place behind stacks of crates. When the cargo was fully unloaded and a human walked a little too close to her hideout, she came out while his back was turned and knocked him out with a karate chop to the back of his neck. Slowly, the person began to knock everyone out until she came across a half elf. Pulling out, what looked like, a smoke bomb from a pouch at their waist, they tossed it to the ground near the woman, causing the area around her to be filled with a slightly purple smoke fifteen seconds later.

Gavin had left the landing platform for a few minutes because someone had called for his help. When he opened the door to go back in, he quickly shut it back. What had happened? He looked around. Why where the imediate hallways empty? He saw Elizabeth rounding the corner. He jogged over to her. "Elizabeth we have a problem. Someone has set off a smoke bomb in the landing area." "Oh my god." She breathed and ran over to the door, peaking through the slender window trying to see. Gaving was behind her, looking through the space above her. "Can you see anything?" She asked. Her friend grunted. "Nothing but shadows. I should go in. My demon blood can sustain me long enough..." ...I hope. "Back up, you don't need to breath any of that stuff." She did as she was told. "Good luck. Try to open the draw gates to the outside." Gaving nodded and took his gun from his back. He walked in, shutting the door firmly behind him.

As Gavin walked into the cloud of smoke towards the source, he heard something akin to the opening of crates, hums of approval, and the occasional grunts of disapproval, followed by either a thunk or a crash. Also, the longer he stayed in the smoke, he more he noticed it smelled... Off. It smelled like a mixture of opium and marijuana, along with other indistinguishable plant drugs...

Cher didn't notice the woman until she had appeared in front of her, and then threw a smoke bomb down. She covered her face and was almost immediately enveloped in a purpish colored cloud. Her eyes smarted and a foul smell filled her nose, and although she had covered in with her hands, she still breathed in a fair amount. She started to feel woozy and stumbled around a bit, bumping into the helicopter and other people. She reached out and grabbed onto someone, then realized it was the woman who'd thrown the smoke bomb. "Who are...who are you...?" She mumbled.
Echo noticed that most of the screams and excitement had died down from the town, and decided to go inspect what he could. He hopped down from the tree, a good 25 or 30 feet, and landed on his feet from the jarring impact. A couple of phoenixes were hanging around a burned down building, but stod up straighter when they saw him coming. "Anything worth mentioning?" He asked boredly. One of the phoenixes grunted, then nodded stiffly. "We think there's a small Keeper base in the basement of this place." He nodded at the building he'd been leaning on. Echo nodded and gestured to the doorway. "Lead in, then."

Through the smoke, Cher could make out what the woman looked like. She had white hair with a pair fox ears the same color, purple eyes, and a pair of bat wings. Her mouth and nose was covered with a mask to prevent the smoke from effecting her. Turning only her eyes to her, she said, "It won't matter, because you'll never see me again." With that, she pushed her to the ground and proceeded to rummage through the crates for anything worth her time stealing.

"Heeey, you're not a Keeper, are you...?" Cher mumbled out, slurring her words. She reached up haltingly and grabbed the woman's arm to pull herself up. She started to fall back to the ground again, but failed her hand to touch the fox-eared woman's mask, then slipped again, bringing her down with her. The mask slipped off her nose and mouth to rest on her collarbone. "Who are you...? And what are you doing to those poor...defenselessss boxess...?" She asked again, blinking her tired eyes.

The woman looked down at her with a raised eyebrow at the half elf, half wondering why she was using her as a rope. When she and her mask was pulled down, her eyes widened in slight horror as she instantly covers her mouth to prevent her breathing in the smoke. Kicking the woman off of her, she fumbled to put the mask back in place with her other hand and get to her feet at the same time. Once these tasks were complete, she grabbed a few more items from the box and put them in a sack she had. Then, she paused to look back at Cher. Smirking deviously, she grabbed the barely conscious woman's hand and used it to throw her over her shoulder. Dashing out of the purple smoke, she opened the hanger door and sprinted out, disappearing with her loot.

Strider was about to the basement when he heard Cher's thought. He quickly placed the pheonix on the ground and teleported to where she was. He was surprised by the endless purple smoke. He sniffed and smelt some very potent drugs in it. He was glad he had a magical body. He quickly picked Cher up and walked towards the gate where Gavin had come though. He opened the gate and walked in quickly kicking the gate closed and setting Cher down. "She's a little light headed and drugged up but the worst injuries she should have are a pounding head ache and some loss of memory."
