Aaron put his arm around Mia so she would feel safer. He watched the movie with extreme interest, despite having seen the movie hundreds of times since he bought it. He loved the characters and loved how they died even more. He had to struggle to not giggle at the part where a couple came running down a path and had their heads lopped of by the ax-wielding killer. It was ironic because at the beginning of the movie they had said they would be together forever.

"How can you watch this stuff?" Mia asked into his side, her voice muffled and her breath warming his skin. "It's so... gross, and... sad!" She peeked her eye out to view the screen, and nearly screeched at the colorful image. "And they loved each other so much..." she mumbled, noting the couple that was decapitated.

Aaron looked down at Mia, "Because I know it's fake. The movie at least, this is a true story, so it doesn't frighten me. It's easy enough to watch when you realize that you're a super-being, not a normal human. Nothing like this could happen to you or I and even most normal humans would realize they were in danger and take up arms rather than flee down the path only to be decapitated." he shrugged. Aaron looked back at the screen. The last few characters had locked themselves in an old shed and turned a light on, "Most people wouldn't be stupid enough to turn the light on, right? Instead, they would pick something up in the shed, like that pitchfork or that chainsaw, and defend themselves." Aaron explained, "It's all about keeping cool while watching the movie."

Mia thought of his words for a second, staying cuddled up to Aaron's side with the blanket still up to her chin. What he said made sense, of course, but it was more of the fact that Mia liked to scare herself. Even if she knew that she wouldn't be able to be hurt by a mere human, she liked to think that they could, so it would get the adrenaline running; her personal ecstasy. But as she thought it over, she no longer cowered at Aaron's side. She merely sat with her eyes on the screen, keeping silent for the rest of the film, and pondering his words.

Aaron smiled down at Mia as the credits started rolling, "Feeling better? I noticed a considerable increase of blood flow in my arm." he chuckled. He was worried though, he hoped she hadn't been too scared by the movie because he felt some natural instinct to protect her.

j_hawk Coop Enders
The girl looked offended when he pushed her hand away. He smirked a little, thinking it was lame she got sad from that. His head then turned to the brother, giving him a look of not caring when he explained that.
He rolled his eyes when the brother said he didn't care about whether or not they were enemies. He instantly forgot their actual names, deciding to call them their sibling's nicknames for them. He tilted his head to the side and responded, "Yeah, well you should probably care about that, Hikaru."
It was getting dark now, Coop's time of preference. Pretty much everything was in shadows here. Hikaru almost snarled at Coop, but stopped himself. When he was around his sister, he knew it upset her when he got angry over small things... She always told him to "watch his anger". Breathing deeply, he cleared his mind, closing his eyes and breathing out. He didn't like when people called him Hikaru. It always heated his collar.
Hikari instantly felt the shift of emotion in Hikaru and sighed, happy that he was able to control himself. Turning back to Coop, she shifted her weight her head tilted in curiosity. "Have I asked you what your power is yet?" she inquired.

Aaron's voice brought her back to the real world and out of her day dreams. "It was alright towards the end. I mean, everyone was basically dead by then, so how much worse could it have gotten," she mentioned as she smiled up at him, her eyes a little misted over from her increasing exhaustion. "You're statement did calm me down though, I have to admit. Who knew such an evil villain like you could be so comforting," she chuckled as she sat up and stretched, allowing the blanket to finally fall from her chin to her lap.

Aaron smiled, "I'm just a pack of contradictions." he said, looking at her, "I'm an alright guy once you get to know me, just don't trust humans." Aaron smiled, "So how and why did you get into the hero business? You don't seem like you're the hero type, based on that fact that not many heroes kill people for selling tobacco."

"Well, actually, I didn't really intend to become a hero. I just thought that I was a super being with a cause, but when I finally grew old enough to actually act on them, everyone started calling me heroic. Of course, they had no idea that I killed the C.E.Os. They just thought that I stuck them in Antarctica, or whatever the crazy myths were, so to tell the truth, I could really care less if I was considered a hero or a villain. What I do care about are the highly addicting drugs that the government allows to be sold throughout the country. As a young kid, I did drugs myself: Marijuana, Ecstasy, Mushrooms, but I never went near cigarettes because unlike the drugs I took, it was physically addicting. I found it ridiculous that they allowed something that damaging to be allowed out on the streets when Marijuana, a not so addicting or harmful drug, was illegal. So, to get my way, I just killed cigarette C.E.Os, and still do today. Story of my life. How about you, though? You must have been through a lot of s**t to become a villain," Mia inquired after her long speech, lying down on the couch away from him and lying her feet on his lap.

Aaron shrugged, "One day, when I was a child, I felt sick and stayed home from school. I touched our family dog that slept in my room and it dropped dead. Horrified, I never let anyone near my skin again until I could control my powers. Even after I had learned to control my powers I still dressed the same, causing constant ridicule. Nobody ever touched me though, because they heard rumors I had killed my brother and not the dog." he frowned slightly, "Then, in high school, two boys started pushing me around and tearing my clothes. One punched me and I killed him in self defense. The other ran away shouting something about like 'Monster! You aren't human! Don't touch me!', I found out later he had wet himself." Aaron chuckled and continued, "From that day on, I decided that super-beings were on Earth to rule humans and do with them as we pleased because they are inferior. So I was branded with the label 'villain'. That's about it." Aaron looked at her and smiled, "So not much 's**t' actually."
Aaron looked at the T.V., which was now on the movie's Main Menu, "Are you interested in me?" he asked absently. He had already asked if she hated him, now he wanted to know the opposite. Aaron looked back at her and smiled, "Just curious."

Mia listened closely to his story, and realized that even if he may have thought so, he went through a lot of "s**t" for a child his age. Her musings about his life were interrupted, though.
Mia stared at him, a little embarrassed by his question. Damn, I could understand the other blunt questions, but why does this one have to be so blunt, too? she mumbled to herself while thinking of what would happen after she said what she felt. Let's hope that Everclear doesn't kick in again...
"Yeah, Aaron, I think you're a cool guy, and although we're destined to be 'mortal enemies', or whatever the comic books say, I think that if we were to actually try, something might form between us. Not to sound cheesy or anything..." she stated as she gazed at him before leaning her head back on the arm rest and staring up at the ceiling.

Aaron smiled, rather glad with this answer, "That's nice. I think that you are a very nice girl and we have some sort of connection." he blushed a little, not exactly sure what to say when this blurted out, "I'm willing to try if you are." Aaron's blush became bright red and he looked down at his feet.

Mia giggled at his red face to ease the tension. "You're so cute! It's like this is your first time dealing with something like this," she pointed out, realizing that there was probably a two year age difference between them. It didn't make her that much older, but it did make her more easy going with these types of things.
"But yeah, I'm up for this adventure. Let's see where it takes us, and what will come of it," she continued on. Mia sat up and got on her knees to crawl over to him on the couch and give him a peck on the cheek, letting him know physically, too, that she wanted to give it a shot.

Rolex sat in his penthouse apartment, his hat, shades, and jacket all hanging with the Timepiece in a secret compartment in his closet. He just wanted some time to relax... (Sorry for the inactivity. Band from 9-4 today, but nothing going on after, so I might be on tonight.)

Aaron looked at Mia and smiled, "I'm glad. This should be fun, adventures tend to be interesting, especially when they're with a beautiful woman like yourself." he turned and sat cross legged on the couch, putting his face inches from Mia's. He smiled and kissed her again.
