Junimaia ...........add....trivia...questions? lol sweatdrop
Maybe you need a janitor confused Well, that was sorta what the Head Elf's job was supposed to be... but we don't have one any more... and I'm not entierly sure how I'm going to train whoever finally takes that job in how I set-up the lists and the easiest ways to do this, that, and the other thing... sweatdrop
I'm mostly thinking that students get a month of priveledge... since they earned their status, I was thinking they should get a one-month grace period... because at this rate I'm going to have to demote alot of students... it's very tiering... not to mention strainful on my paper and on my school-work(outside of gaia)

OK... back to the real descussion at hand:
Alright, so the original requirements still stand:- 30 posts + at least 3 weeks of membership
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
For early sorting requirements the options so far are:- *must make original requirements first* -invite 5 people to apply to the guild and mention the person's name in their application(with option to add a "decent application" requirement on to the option) -make 50 posts (or maybe we could say 60...since that's double the original...I do agree that 50 posts isn't that hard to get to when you have a few hours to kill one day) -(this one was suggested a while back)turn in X amount of Elf homework assignments
We just need to work out the minor details of each one and decide if we want to make all of them a requirement for early sorting, or just one, or pick two or whatever.
-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
And then, we should decide if early sorting will be constantly available, or if we will be having specific times of the term when we will do early sorting. (personally, I like the idea of constant availability, becuase it allows mods to do things on their own time.) But if we decide constant availability, we need to decide if there are regulations on that. For example, can a house elf be sorted early as a first year the week before term ends? I think I said we should sort them early up to week 6 or 7 (since there's 10 in each term)
-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
We also probably should find a good way for all the mods to be able to check these requirements whenever needed. Right now I have the most current version of the lists, although...they're a bit messy because I still have a bunch of PMs to send that I know I wont be able to get to until next week.
But I could, eventually, post everyone's join dates in the Lists thread. so mods could look a house elf's join date up if need-be...
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-
So... polish early sorting options decide how many E.S.options are required for early sorting decide when E.S. will be available decide how to make information needed to check said options/requirements available to all mods (and possibly other leadership positions if desired)

KTweirdchick So...
polish early sorting options decide how many E.S.options are required for early sorting decide when E.S. will be available decide how to make information needed to check said options/requirements available to all mods (and possibly other leadership positions if desired) Ok here is my two sense worth xd
I think we change the 30 post to 50. The 5 people is good to providing a decent application. I also like the X number of homework handed in, because that way we will also know if they are going to do homework as a student. For E.S. I think you'd have to have the 50 posts and x number of homework(maybe 5) or 5 new applicants..which ever comes first. E.S. I think should be availible all the time(which all the mods would need the answer/score card for the test) If it's possible we could always make a subform that only the mods can acess for requirements and that sort of stuff.
I guess thats all I have to say.

neutral Ok angil...
anyways... @ Celestial:
-I didn't think we were going to change the original requirements... -I'm not even really sure what you said in that second one there... sweatdrop -I'm glad you like the idea... sweatdrop -I like the idea of 5 homeworks or 5 new applicaints... -so you really think a house elf should be able to be sorted a week before term ends? -it is possible to make a mod-only sub-forum, but I don't think we'll need to...just as long as all the mods get the test key...send the PM and save it, I say. And I think it's fair for anyone to be able to see if they meet requirements, because I know most people don't really remember when they joined the guild in the first place...
So lets make some decisions while I'm gone over the weekend, ya? I want to have these requrements for Early Sorting up and running by next Friday! 3nodding I have lots of other ideas and problems I want to talk about and fix...

Sorting a week before the end of term is just silly. House elves may as well wait until the next sorting. I liked the thought about sorting them up till week 7.

BAH! I should be writing a 4-6 page essay on Rhetoric! stressed Hehe. Same. It was probably a bad idea for the 2 people with the biggest cases of house discrimination to make the original test eh? Oh well it worked out well.

Dragons isn't bad... And I do admit that I must sort people into hufflepuff from time to time because I have a personal thing for it...but I can't help it...sometimes I think a person would be good in my house...even if they'd be good in another house too... sweatdrop
Ok now I'm gone for the weekend...
I need to be writing... and I have 3 loads of laundry to do before my boyfriend gets her tomorrow...and I have classes tomorrow... sweatdrop

I have a question/comment about early sorting (because I think I'm eligible for sorting as of today biggrin - I have 130+ posts, have been here 3 weeks, and have donated 100 gold) I am enrolled in both House Elf classes, but there has only been one assignment in each class this term. So, I only have 2 lessons completed (plus all the extra credit offered in the classes). So, how would I be able to be sorted early if there are not 5 lessons offered? (I'm not ignoring the 5 recruits option, but so far my banner has not had as much effect as I would like crying )

Yes, The Hat is currently missing... So, I'm afraid these new Early Sorting Requirements will have to wait until we find it... But, so it'll be ready when it is finally back, lets figure this stuff out... Here...I'll give my two cents...

My opinion, if you all agree, we can make it final and move on to other matters... KTweirdchick For early sorting requirements:- *must make original requirements first* -make 50 posts (or maybe we could say 60...since that's double the original...I do agree that 50 posts isn't that hard to get to when you have a few hours to kill one day) -invite 3 people to apply to the guild and mention the person's name in their application(And they must make what the mod reading considers a decent application; no net-speak and more than one sentence, gives a good impression) OR turn in 3 Pieces of homework
(both must be made, however the second one has two options, I will try to work out the homework problem)
Early sorting should be available between week 3 and 7 (because I know none of the mods will have extra time to do early sorting)
Finally, I think it would be easiest for me to just post members with their join dates... I'll do my best to keep them as up to date as possible...
