Izzy didn't want to reveal anything just yet, but she couldn't just let this...this....vampire to just walk all over everything. "I am doing this because I feel like it. If I don't want them to know I don't want them to know. I don't want total chaos ruining my book! How great would a book be if it was all like 'We invited humans into a house of vampires and they all freeked out because one found out and told eveyone and chaos ensued... It would be a sucky book." Izzy had said all of this way too fast and too low for the human to hear. She took a deep breath. "I don't consider it playing with food...I find it more of getting to know people." Her dark green eyes shown that she was in charge of this house and this coven and she did not want her leadership challenged.

Nich smiled at Izzy and placed a hand on her shoulder tenderly.

"Relaz.... you don't need to stress out about things, after more than half a millenia ive come to realize that Stress is pointless... of course it doesnt reallyr take that long. You really need to enjoy yourself more, even if in dire situations. Also, im pretty sure du to the blatant way she stated it that anastasia is already aware of us, and even if this one isnt, he's been here for a few hours, and nothing has happened, it would be illogical to be afraid now. "

He broke his grip with her and stepped back with a slight flourish. With a large grin he said only...

"and beating around the bush might as well be playing with your food."

He tried to put warmth in his ludtful eyes, He had forgotten momentarily about his hunger... this one had distracted him quite abit.

Anya sat up straight in her chair, leaning forward. "Poe? The Poe? Edgar Allen Poe?" she asked excitedly. "My mom loved him. We read his stories together."

Gitano scratched the back of her head, blushing slightly. "Yeah. But I didn't know him to well." She shook her head. "Boston, even then was a large town. I just saw him in passing, then read his stories in the magazines when they came out."

"I sometimes wonder what he was like. He must have moved on for I have never seen his spirit. I'm sure he was quite the one to talk to. Even though he did marry his own cousin." Anya thought out loud. "May I ask when you were turned?"
PostPosted: Thu May 07, 2009 1:02 pm

"He kept to himself if I remember correctly. Plus, remember what he wrote about, so he may have accepted his death easier then others." Gitano said, shrugging her shoulders. She looked at Anya after her question. "Bold question...I was turned when I was 18. I forgot the year, but it was before the Civil War, that much I can say."

Anya's eyes widened. "Before the Cival War? Wow. Just...wow. And as for it being a bold question...I'm a rather bold person. But, anyway, You were alive in the time of Lincoln. What was that like?" Anya realized that question made her sound like a reporter.
PostPosted: Thu May 07, 2009 3:50 pm

"Lincoln?" Gitano looked up at the sky again, bringing back the memories. "I don't remember much of Lincoln himself, just the war and battles...At that time I was still learning much of my new life. But I do remember that he was a kind man and he held on to his belifes. The name 'Honest Abe' fit him well, he did what he said, not like some leaders today." She looked sideways up at Izzy and two others. "History books don't really tell the truth about the war..."

The direct effect that Zane's words had on Willow was obvious almost immediately, her eyes brightened slightly and her face flushed as her heart started going; a little trigger switched in her brain, taking her instantly from the unafraid-Willow-who-wanted-to-believe-but-really-didn't into Willow-who-does-believe-and-can-feel-fear. "'There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt about in your philosohpy'," She quoted, and then she smiled slightly. "The collective imagination of mankind sees vampires in the darkest corners of the world, and there are stories of them all over the world, told for thousands of years by civilizations that wouldn't come until recent history... There's no way they aren't real." She said in a half breathless voice that was struggling to keep her excitement in. Oh, Willow had done her research alright, she knew a lot of things on several subjects, and she didn't believe a word that Anne Rice or Stephanie Meyer breathed about vampires. Still, after she spoke she began again to feel the twinges of doubt, and her eyes half-lidded and she shifted away. "Still, there's never been any proof..." She sighed.

Zane's smile grew from ear to ear when he heard he talk. It had actually amused him to talk to someone who knew so much yet so little at the same time.
"your right, there never is any good solid proof. we have always made it like that....erm you know we can never find any good leads and such but there are stories and bodies that show up, you know?." he laughed clumsily at his words. He knew full well he had almost spoke out of term, and truth be told it was getting harder to keep his "secret" contained.

"How about a seat?"
Zane suddenly blurted out as he walked to a table and pulled a chair out, motioning for her to follow with his index finger.
There it was again, Zane thought as his charming effects kicked in for a slight moment. He was used to it and by this time had easily suppressed them yet again. He full well intended on trying to have a normal conversation, that was unless she figured him out. Then he figured the questions would start bombarding him, either that or she would freak and cause a scene

There it was again, that strange feeling, like she was barely in control of her emotions which she kept fully guarded at all times. Willow couldn't help but blush and nod, following him to the table and sitting in the chair he'd pulled out, her face red all the way to the tips of her ears. "Thank you." She murmured in response, but though Willow was charmed by his actions she was never one to get completely lost; she prided herself on the fact than no man had ever really put her off her guard, and though Zane was very close she still had most of her senses about her; and she had noticed the slip up in his words... Still, human doubt kept her from asking, kept his secret from being revealed. "I know what you mean, though. There's been stories in my family..." She trailed off, not sure if she should dwell on those parts of her family, but she continued, "Well, there's a story about my great-great-great... well, you know, grandfather back in Ireland..." She flashed him a grin and lost herself in her story, her eyes brighting again as her own mental barriers took her temporarily from his charms.

Willow could obviously hardly contain herself as she related the tale, "My grandfather and two other members of his hunting party were tracking some deer and got lost in the mists out on the moors, well, night fell and they got turned around, and as they lost their way they came across a strange stone house near a lake. When they knocked, looking for shelter, four women answered the door," She paused and looked around, knowing that this was where the story got too strange even for her tastes, or at least it was because it got embarassing, "Well, they were so bewitching that the men let down their guards and were lured inside by the women. They were... seduced, and in the middle of it one of the men happened to notice that my grandfather was having the blood drained out of him by one of the women... My grandfather didn't survive but the man managed to escape long enough to tell the story, but two weeks later his body was found with it's neck twisted, drained completely dry of blood, and lipstick around puncture marks on his..." She trailed off and blushed blood red from her roots down to her neck.

Zane had stood still behind her as she told her story, all that was to be heard was his light breathing. When she finished he slid her chair forward with ease and walked around the table and took a seat himself.
"it seems back in those days "vampires" were more uncivilized." his brow crinkled at the thought of killing a person in such a manner.
what he didnt notice was the tone of voice he had spoke in was not one of mere speculation but it sounded as if he was stating facts.

"so let me ask you something amusing."
he childish smirk spread across his face for a brief moment. "say they were real, and by they i mean vampires. What would you do if you ever met one?" he laughed at his words, his inner thoughts centering around the fact she was talking with one weather she knew it or not.
"Me I'd probably get killed for asking to many questions and being unpolite or something." he shrugged slightly, his gaze falling to the table as a smile replaced his smirk.

Izzy still glanced sideways at Baylor. She was still worried that he would freek and that the vamps would have to finish this quickly. "I realize this but I'm not like you in every sense. I don't just want these humans a food...I would like to give them to oppertunity to learn all they can learn...I am NOT playing with my food. I am giving it a choice." Izzy hated where this conversation had gone to and she was almost certain that Baylor had heard most of this conversation.

Willow tapped her fingernails lightly on the table as she thought about that one, deeply considering what she would do. The answer came quickly, pulling itself out of the depths of her mind, the part of her she relied on so well because it was objective. "It all depends, I suppose, on the kind of vampire I'm dealing with and on weither or not they mean me any harm," She replied in a slightly detached voice, and the she flushed and continued, "Well, I mean... Are they bloodthirsty and murderous like in the tale of my grandfather, or do they want to try to get along with humans?" She asked as she propped her head up on her arm and stared him down.

"Some of us are blood thirsty, others are just trying to live day by day." Zane's eyes widened into shear horror at his words. they had escaped his mouth before even passing through his brain. It was to late now though he had said it, and aloud none the less.
"Maybe she will think I was joking around" He thought, as he forced himself to look at her expression.
At this point it was sink or swim, depending on her reaction, so he played calm for a moment longer, leaning back in his chair he took to looking at the sky as he awaited the inevitable.
"A: she figures it out....B: its a joke" his mind raced
