SunnShinne It really amazes me how soon Seasons will be out. It's expected to be released in February eek *thinks to self... Now where did I read that?* That IS soon! I've hardly had pets long enough to play much! I'm not finding as much to do with pets as I did with open for business though.. as my dog is trained, has a top job as a dog star, and he basically does the same stuff every day and there aren't many surprises. 'Course it was cute to see him rolling in the flower bed or eating the flowers when there wasn't enough food left and his owner was sleeping, and I saw my gardener fill up a hole near the fence he dug (didn't see him dig it though,) but I think I should look into breeding cats and see what all happens there. 3nodding I got bored with my dog already neutral but fortunately have a lot of EP's installed so I spent some time dating downtown and then opened a home business and figured out how to sell food.

It does get a little boring after a while. Especially after you have completely trained your pets! I have all of the EP so far, so I spend quite a bit of time doing other things. I haven't done a whole lot the the OFB EP yet. I think I may need to explore that one a bit more before this next EP comes out.

I was thinking about it yesterday, and I think I've spent the most time and had the most fun with the open for business EP so far, because with a home business I can really busy myself with trying to earn gold badges in everything, while going downtown and to university take so much time to load...

Hmm..! Been meaning to look into getting the business one.. I do enjoy university as well, but pretty much only for giving my sims a bit more experience before sending them out to work.. unless I'm doing one of my story archs. Boo Bibi, the young dark teen who met English Mebaflabo, the strikingly beautiful yet homely adult, and chemistry was there from the start.. Will their budding romance survive him going of to college? Oh YES, he gets her pregnant half way through.. but will the responsibility be too much? Will the cute young college girls seduce him away from his true passion - family? And will English lose it with a baby in the house but no man to help her? razz Anyway....
SEASONS!?? YAYY!!!! biggrin I love gardening (hence my gardening gallery at neopianspoo over at neopets... razz Went a wee bit obsessed with that!), I've been wanting seasons and weather for ages now.. Something to make it a bad thing to put electronics outside.. razz Leave it outside, rain, step in puddle - ZAP! razz Hehehehehe

Doesn't Seasons come out sometime this month? *can't wait* especially because Jade's starting to get into Sims, and she plays it on Jason's computer with the basic Sims2 disc, but now she wants a dog, and I don't want her using my Pets disc until I have a newer one I can use instead.
And I also saw an ad in yesterday's paper while at the in-laws house about a Sims expansion I hadn't heard of before, but it didn't say Sims2, so I'm wondering if they're still actively making Sims1 expansions. Would make sense! I've been wanting to reinstall my Sims1 and at least put making magic and sims community (for the gardening) on there. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the one I saw in the ad yesterday! But it's already for sale, whatever it was! *should go check site, but too busy multi-tasking, and I wanna steam some veggies!*

You wouldn't need to have Sims 2 to play them. They are coming out with several different versions of Sims stories too! biggrin

Sims Life Stories is coming out this week...um, tomorrow I think. It's specifically designed for laptops and lower end computers. It does not require the super graphics cards like Sims 2 does.

yesterday, i deleted ALL the custom content i had for the sims sweatdrop
this was intentional, the game has been crashing as soon as it loaded just lately (soon being a relative term as it takes 20 minutes to START loading)
so the lot went in the bin, loaded up in 30 seconds after that! and some of the houses look mighty strange now! no windows/doors etc, i'm assuming that most of my sims will be bald and naked now too! lol
so today i've started downloading again! i'm being far more particular this time around though, before i'd download room/item sets because it was easier and end up with a lot of stuff that i didn't want, this time nothing gets in unless it's up to scratch, so i shouldn't end up with so much junk and hopefully it wont end up taking quite so long to load up, not for a year or so anyway ninja got to hunt through the sites and find my favourite items again now though! gained a few back today already 3nodding

Woohoo! That sounds great! I really need to do some cleanup on mine too. I know there's a particular car I downloaded that if I place in there it somehow keeps any of my sims from having free will.
I found out recently I have all my Sims 1 expansions already installed on this puter (I thought I'd reloaded since!) and all my houses/neighborhoods I used to have. That game loaded QUICK compared to what I remember! I guess because I've gotten new processors/video cards since, and I'm used to the slow loading of Sims 2.
I kind of feared taking away all my downloads and winding up with blank walls and such, but I guess it works ok anyway, and you can always redecorate? How do you change their heads and bodies and stuff again though if those were custom and deleted?

I've been thinking about doing that myself. I'm running out of room on my harddrive. I have too many things on my computer. I've also thought about buying an external hard drive so that I can store all of my music and photos on that instead of on my PC, which would free up quite a bit of room.

That's a good idea to get a second harddrive, at least for backup purposes in case your main harddrive crashes!

the 2nd hard drive is always a good idea 3nodding i have a ton of space on my pc, 75% of the space is free ninja i have another memory card so i have 512 instead 256mbs of whatever lol and my graphics card has been upgraded twice, all for the Sims rolleyes
right now i have 292mb worth of downloads, instead of the 3.44GB that i had before cool even that small amount has effected the loading time though, with no additional content it loaded instantly, took a couple of minutes with the new stuff.
clearing the old content has effected the game, my sims clothes have reverted to the item they were cloned from, and one of them is bald rofl she's nasty though so i don't care dramallama one house has no glass in the big 2 story window and the bricks have gone from the outside walls, not looked inside yet, i imagine it will look like it's been burgled ninja
today i have replaced a few more of my favourite household and clothing items though, and it's only a matter of time before i find the site that i got a lot of my Sims hair from too 3nodding i am glad i decided to spring clean though whee
the only thing i haven't been able to find which i really want is a hack i had for the fireplaces, this kept the fires lit all the time, and they never set fire to the rug either! i'm positive it was on Modthesims2.com but i can't find it now crying but i do have the next week off so i have plenty of opportunity for wasting time wandering round download sites 3nodding

I love that hair! I have all XM Sims hair in my game and use it all the time. wink My favorite resource for links is: http://theblist.com/ Of course I might be partial because I'm a mod at HoneyB's forum too, but the forum also has great updates.
