Jack nodded, "Alright, I understand. Please, come find us when you finish. I know Nyma had a few that cared about what happened to her. They will want to know what has happened here."
Turning, he walked off towards the warehouse. "Don't leave me Kaz. Don't leave me in this world alone. This cat can't handle another loved one lost." Jack whispered to Kaz as he carried her to the building. He neared the edge of the forest, he saw another heading into the forest, paying no heed to the person, he was worried about getting Kaz back to a bed. Then he noticed a glowing growing bright and seeming to expand form the center of the forest. He understood what was happening, he noticed some flowers starting to bloom, and the forest seemed greener then it had been when the entered it. He couldn't help but smile at it. Knowing that the angel was still alive, he looked down at Kaz's lifeless form. Sighing he continued on to the building.
Stepping inside he knew he would find no sympathy from any of them. Uncaring he went right past Laurell into the room they had Nyma in earlier. Setting Kaz down on the empty bed he looked up to the doc, his eyes still wet from un-shed tears. "Nyma, in a sense will not be returning. She wanted so much to protect this town and heal the forest, her body could not handle it. Another angel will most likely return, she caught Nyma as she fell to the ground. But also finished Nyma's healing spell, and lived. I can not explain much else. Kaz fell as Nyma did, she seems locked in a Spirit walking state. She still breathes, and her heart still beats, but her mind is lost." Tears rolled down his furred cheeks, he let them be, not caring if they thought him a softy.

“It is done. Your forest is healed now.” Her eyes looked directly at Skog as she floated there as she commanded that Nyma’s body come to her. She had to bury the dead angel whom now laid in her arms. Her eyes held a violet hue that did not lie as she flew up into the air towards the city to look for a cemetery for Nyma. She had to find somewhere to bury her and soon found one. She’d bury Nyma before finally looking around as she set off a beacon to those that might actually search for her. She learned how to do this by Nyma.
“That is unfortunate. I pray this new angel does come to us. I would like to examine her energy levels. I fear if Nyma did die in her arms, then she became the new Angel of Legends.” Rage didn’t mince words as he looked at Jack.
Solzeni would be staring off into space within the warehouse as she too felt Nyma’s death and the birth of the new Angel of Legend. She felt the barrier over the city at Nyma’s death. Solzeni did not move at all, just stared off into space in a depressed state.

Raven felt Nyma's power failing. She felt the essence of her die. Raven found tears forming in her eyes, they burned her. The half angel tried to wipe her eyes dry, knowing she at least wanted to make it to the spot where Nyma had been.
Unknowingly she had sped up, and now she was flying straight for a tree now strong and healed. She flew roughly into it, her wing hitting one of the branches. It gave a sickening cracking sound. Raven cried out in pain when her wing broke. She quickly fell, hitting branches as she went. When her body finally hit the ground she closed her eyes tiredly, her body feeling too awful to move. Her mind began to drift, and finally she fell into the darkness.

It took Lance some time but he found Raven passed out. Her wing did not look very good twisted as it was. He checked her vitals and breathed suddenly not realizing he had been holding his breath when he found her.
"Raven...come on lass time to wake up." Lance said as he shook her shoulder gently.

Melanie was quick to move to where Raven landed. The tree wasn’t far from her as she ran over and knelt by the girl. She had already buried one angel. She was not about to let another one die as she placed her hand upon the young girl’s head. Her eyes closed gently as she focused her energy. “Open my heart.” Her words came clear as she opened it enough to focus the energies within.
It would guide and fill the girl with a gentle light that could heal the girl. She’d finish the healing and sit indian-styled waiting for the girl to wake up. She knew it had to have been a bad head injury, but could not afford to have waited for just anyone to arrive on the scene. She knew the healing energy from the feather of healing was enough to heal the damage as she sat there. “Come on girl, wake up. I know you can do it.”
She'd look then at Lance as she sat there. She'd move Raven's wings gently still holding the healing energy in her hands as she did it. "Raven is it? Come on wake up. I'm Melanie...A friend of Nyma's. Please wake up."

Jack just nodded, "Yes, I feel that she did. Yet this angel had something else. It was almost as if she wanted to find something to live for rather than throw her own life away for the mistake to be repeated over and over." Turning his head he looked to Solenzi, knowing that Kaz would want to comfort her he felt as if he should do something to try to comfort her as well. Running his hand through Kaz's hair he left her side to stand near Solenzi. "May I offer a hug?"
Meanwhile Kaz remained oblivious to everything going on around her. The blackness of her mind was lifting and she found herself in a somewhat familiar place. A river ran from a deep lake around and up and large mountain, ending in a waterfall that emptied back into the lake. She felt peace there, and saw nothing dangerous.
Walking through the area she entered the forest, she knew this place. It was the Sanctuary her family had found. 'What am I doing HERE though? Where is Jack?' Passing the lake she looked down and noticed her reflection. Jumping back she gasped. "What the devil is going on?' She questioned out loud. Returning to the lakeside she gazed at it. Her reflection was that of her, yet only her younger self. A much younger self, then she heard her mother calling. As she started to answer, she heard her own voice from another direction answer and come running down the lakeside as a small tiger cub. Jumping up she shifted and grabbed her mother in a tight hug. Kaz watched on realizing it was the time of her first shifting. She smiled as she remembered how it felt, she was so happy to have finally mastered it that she had started a game of hide and seek with her mother. Where they had both shifted several times.
She understood a little of what was happening now. For some reason she was reliving part of her past. She sat down with her feet in the lake, 'How long is this going to last?' She asked herself. Then suddenly everything went black again.
As Kaz lay on the bed her tail twitched a little, but other than that she remained still as ever. Her mind was reliving her youth, and certain memories that were strong and happy. As she did, anyone who was connected to her could 'see' some of what she did.
Jack stopped short and looked to Kaz's tail. His eyes widened as he realized that he had started to see in his mind some of her mental visions. "She is reliving her past, happy moments it seems." He whispered.

Raven woke suddenly. She pulled back quickly from the woman's hands. Her head throbbed painfully. She scrambled backward, hitting her broken wing against the ground and whimpered in pain. "Who are you?" she asked watching the woman. She winced trying to stand on shaky legs. She saw Lance, and immediately she felt better, but the confused half angel didn't know the angel before her. She refused the help she was offered.

“A friend of Nyma’s. Or rather…someone that met her at the ending of her life. I felt it end and came to her just as it did. I am Melanie. Nyma didn’t want to die the way she did. She felt a threat placed against the city. An unforeseen threat that she could not comprehend and there is a barrier now protecting it. She passed her feathers onto me…I miss her though. We truly were friends after she went missing for so long. I wondered what happened to her…” Melanie’s eyes had welled up with tears by this time as she didn’t know why she was crying. She had felt someone else’s visions, but the memories of Nyma still laid fresh in her mind. She missed her friend dearly. Melanie hung her head as if remembering Nyma then looked at the freshly dug grave. “She’s buried over there.”
Solzeni would not respond as she sat there almost as if lost in her own world. Usually she would deny being touched by anyone, she instead just continued to stare off into nothing as if lost.

Lance's attention focused on Melanie.
"So you are the new Messiah of this god forsaken landscape are you?" It sounds more like you accepted a curse then a blessing when you took the responsibility of those feathers into you." Lance said sadly as he comfort Raven by toughing her hand gently.

Raven looked over in the indicated direction of Nyma's grave. Tears filled her eyes. Raven wrapped her hand gently around Lance's hand, the cool metal pressed against her skin felt so nice. Weakly Raven knelt on the squishy ground beside Lance. She adjusted her wing, grimacing at the pain, but pain of broken bones was nothing new to her.

“Yes, they are a curse, that is why I plan to break the cycle after my passing. The feathers end when my life finally ends naturally. They shall not end with a sacrifice. I won’t let it!” Melanie’s voice was one of determination as she looked at Lance. She didn’t want to be the next in line that died because of some legend that said she had to. Nyma shouldn’t have had to die. She accepted her soul and the feathers. It passed into her, but she would not become their next victim.
“Please let me heal you. I doubt Nyma would like to know one of the people she called friend was hurt. I think she would have been saddened instead. She wanted to live more than anything if she could have.” Melanie’s tears continued to poor out as she again tried to heal Raven if allowed but did not touch the girl unless was accepted.

Raven resisted her for a moment before allowing her to heal her wing. She hoped that unlike her arm her wing would be healed completely. An half angel with a bad arm and a dysfunctional wing. She sighed shaking her head, that was not the life she wanted. She knew that her angelic powers were already trying to heal it, but the healing would most likely be wrong. She bowed her head and flinching when she moved her wing to Melanie.

Melanie closed her violet eyes as she allowed a gentle healing energy that was warm to flow into Raven. It would take care of not only Raven’s wing but her head as well. Melanie had a good grasp of her powers. She knew what to do as she looked at Raven smiling gently. Her eyes opened and closed a moment. “Just a moment longer and I’ll be done healing you.” Melanie wanted to assure Raven that she would be done healing soon. She didn’t want Lance to feel that she was harming his friend at all.

Raven flinched when she felt the warmth flowing into her. It was a tender feeling, but still something she was not use to. She felt exposed for reasons that she couldn't explain. "Thank you Melanie." She said softly.

Melanie would finish healing Raven as she pulled her hand away. Her body was tired as she looked at Raven and Lance. “I’m sorry that I cannot do much more than that. The bones have been mended and your head should stop hurting.” Her words came gently as she spoke, but she was winded. Her entire body was tired as she sat there on the ground in a dress made of light blue.
