Kiro began down the stairs, but in a slow way where he could still speak loud enough for Train who was following him, to hear. "Not very good. I was hit about thirty feet or so out of the arena, disqualifying me and smashing me into the stone arena seats." Kiro explained, swaying a little as he went down on each step, his hand very gently on his right katana and his left hand on the railing.

"Matches like that aren't worth wasting my techniques on though. If I were to get ambushed later on, I would be in trouble." Kiro said, justifying his loss, though he wasn't too serious about it. Kiro didn't actually see his fight with Tyrone a loss. "Real battles continue regardless of where you get knocked to. That's why sparring is so much different than the real thing..." Kiro added as he was slowly approaching the bottom of the stairs.

Malkin smiled, chuckling a little.
"Why do you think I've done so many missions alone, or with a Guardian? But I have more control than you might think. Usually, I just draw the anger of all of them and pray I don't die. And most of the people I'm with are warned ahead of times. When I joined they told me that if I turned on a mission or at base, I'm to be destroyed. Period. So hey, It's in my best interest to stay alive and keep others alive." Finishing his pomegranate seeds, he wiped his hands cleaned. They still maintained the blood-stained look, making his fingers look more like a fiends after a kill.

William continued the swing of his sword, whipping it through the air his opponent had just vacated and swinging it around his body and back behind him by twisting his arm up and behind his head with the momentum of the blade. This but the large blade of his sword over his back, acting almost as a shield against any attacks coming at him from behind, which he expected were on the way. Then he twisted his body around as he rose to his feet, holding his sword in place, so that he came back up to his full height while facing his opponent with his sword still held before him like a shield, its blade pointing downward.

When Isaac rolled out from beneath Matts intended crushing fall he threw his arm down and caught his weight on it. He allowed the arm to fold, absorbing the impact and allowing him to roll to one side where he climbed back to his feet. He stood facing Isaac, who had replaced his pistol and held his polearm in both hands, like a quarterstaff. He assumed a basic martial arts stance, though he preferred boxing or grappling. He held his arms loosely in front of him, his hands relaxed. He held his left hand out towards Isaac and gestured with two fingers on that hand for the younger fighter to come to him.

Train couldn't help but snicker. Kiro was essentially crushed by Tyrone. Train loved it. But he was not without feeling. "I see your point, and I agree. But you'll have to forgive me if I find this terribly amusing." Train said letting out a cackle. "And you can't go making excuses now, you lost naturally and fairly. Still more honorable than winning with a mutation." Train said as he continued to follow. He really didn't have any subject matter that he was willing to share, so as Kiro would find, the conversation was pretty much in his (Kiro's) control.

Emma nodded again, but then smiled. "Are you that comfortable already? We only just met today, I didn't know you went on missions alone or with Guardians. Though I must say that is good news, you're responsible." Emma cocked her head to the side. "That is very courageous. I like it." Emma finished with.

She suddenly remembered her meal and finished it off quickly. "That's really all of the questions I have. But what we should do now is get introduced to your team mates. Unless there was something else you wanted?"

Isaac was sure he could hold his own with Matt now. But after this realization he started to curse in his head. Matt wanted him to attack, rather than Matt taking the offensive himself. Isaac hated playing offensive in a a one-on-one battle. It made it easier for the other party.

But rather than stay deadlocked all day, Isaac would have go for it. He thought for a moment on how to go about it. He took a quick step then, surging forward. He leapt long before he reached Matt, doing a front flip in the air to bring his halberd crashing under him and then over him to try and use a cleaving style move on Matt.

"Nothing left to be said I guess. If you wanted to do something, which you appear to be hinting, then be my guest and ask. For the most part, it's not bravery or courage that makes me solo things, but the awareness that if I turn, most Guardians and Hunters will not be able to kill me. Hence, if I die by myself, or if I turn, it will most likely be out somewhere away from people and will allow for the offices to set up an elite team to kill me. I'm trying not to boast, but I did my research. Some of the most powerful fiends are humans that turned."

Kiro didn't say much else to Train when he finally reached the bottom of the staircase. He then made his way quickly into the cafeteria where there were already many others present. Kiro sighed and walked to sit at an empty table, ignoring pretty much everyone else. He then laid down across several seats that were in a row as he remained at the table. "I'll just wait here until something interesting happens or William shows up. He's bound to come for something to eat after a fight." Kiro reasoned to himself out loud, placing his right leg up a little higher than the left in a more strange looking position, though he felt it was comfortable.

Matt simple lifted his left arm up to deflect the blow off of his forearm guard as he stepped into the attack with his right foot. He had moved his right arm across his body as he moved and as his foot came down on the step he snapped his elbow down at Isaacs stomach. His armguards, which were a part of the gauntlets that he wore, were spiked at the elbows, so he limited the power of the strike so as not to pierce his new comrades abdomen should the blow connect, though he still put a sizable amount of his not inconsiderable strength into it.

Emma shrugged her shoulders, "Either way, I find it impressive." Emma stood then, getting ready to return her dishes. "Come on, you should meet Leroy and Matt before you start fighting stuff together. I bet dinner we run into them right away." Emma teased.

Train stood beside Kiro, glaring down at him. "Is this interesting enough for ya'?" Train asked as he quickly and noticeably karate chopped Kiro in the head. "I didn't follow you down so you could just wait here. Get up, we're checking the list. I'm pretty sure I see it from here." Train said rather sternly. As he turned, he said, "Come on, you keep me from running into the wall." He motioned with his hand, Train would not tolerate Kiro leaving him there.

Isaac was truly loving his sparring session with Matt. He would likely be constantly begging him for a fight then. And that Emma lady that seemed so confident and wild, she would be fun. No to mention that Kiro guy and Will, or Bill, whatever he called himself again. Really, his attack being so easily swiped away was not expected, though he was still not that surprised.

Momentum truly was one of Isaac's best and most useful weapons. He would use it again here of course. Isaac pivoted and spun with his halberd, lowering his body as he went. He found a spike waiting for him, this only made him swing harder. His teeth clenched as he pulled his head back a little. He only got a scratch on his left cheek. But with Matt so close, Isaac couldn't possibly miss, especially with Matt's arm already being entertained with Isaac's own face.

"Gah!" Kiro grunted as Train karate chopped his head. Kiro patted his head briefly and then stood up. "Fine, fine. I just thought I'd rather not know until the given time of a mission. I mean, what if it were someone completely annoying and that I hate being around? It would bother me the entire day just know!" Kiro whined in a joking manner.

Kiro walked with Train to the notice on the wall. "You read it." Kiro said, crossing his arms. I hope I'm not in Emma's group, she'll end up killing me.

Nodding, Malkin stood up and followed her, to the dish return.
"So I have two partners this time around. Odd. Either the Corp is trusting me more, or this mission is very dangerous. Neh, what will be, will be." he said shaking his head softly.

((Gahk. I've got no idea what to post.))

((Kyground, you're going to have to be more specific about Isaacs counterattack against Matt. All I know is that you are counterattacking, not how or where.))
PostPosted: Tue Apr 28, 2009 5:44 pm

(He's using your deflection to power up his sweep. It is a sweep, though not specified, it would make more sense that the halberd would be angled. Set for another strike, but the counterattack itself would likely have the blade clip the back of the heel while the shaft attacks the knee.)

"Feh, me read it..." Train started to mutter to himself a little more afterward as he read. He saw his own name and his teammates. "Fantastic, send in two blind guys and some assassin woman. Visuals are down then..." Train muttered about his own team. He continued then to find Kiro's name. "You get to stay with your girlfriend William and you get somebody named Isaac Armine. Congrats." Train was actually very pleased with his team.

Emma made a noise that sounded like an exhalation in a sarcastic manner. "Don't think too much about it. That just means that there are lots of fiends and traveling. Besides, there is little reason not to trust you, even with that condition." Emma said as she lead him around. She actually had no plan for looking for either member of his team.

"Besides, should you turn... They wouldn't want you running loose..." Emma thought, wondering where to start. "Let's check the usual places. We know they aren't in the Mess Hall. Library, dorms, and arena are the most likely places. Oh." Emma said, stopping. "There's Leroy. Hi Leroy!" Emma said as she spotted the little man on his way to the Mess Hall. "That was convenient." Emma muttered to Malkin.

"William and Issac?" Kiro questioned. "Wait, what!? Girlfriend!? You damn cyclops, come here!" Kiro shouted as he jumped on Train in attempt to jokingly pound and strangle him.

Nodding in good humor, he heard the dry sarcasm. And here we go. Another dance. But who will laugh at the end? he thought to himself, referring to his tendency to see battles as dances.
Soon we shall see. Soon you will hunger.
Freezing, fear was evident in Malkin's eyes, should anyone see them. It had been many, many years since he heard that voice, but he knew what it belonged too. And what it meant. Shaking himself, he grabbed his fear back under control, praying Emma wouldn't have seen his momentary lapse. Noting that she had pointed out somebody, he looked around expecting to see someone. Noticing that she was looking somewhat down, he found himself barely containing his surprise. He heard about the 'Little Terror' but wasn't sure what to make of it. Makes sense. Send the one man who won't hesitate to kill me should I even come close to betrayal.
Betray them.

((Well, since creed-masters time is in short supply as of late he and I had a brief discussion as to what to do with our characters current sparring match. We agreed to do something kinda like this smile )

William stumbled out of the Arena some time later. He was bruised and cut in multiple locations. He was walking with a slight limp due to a blow to a knee. And he could swear that his jaw was clicking when he opened and closed it. All in all, it had been a fun fight. Something they'd have to do again sometime.

William left by the north exit of the Arena and headed for the building directly ahead of him, the Infirmary. Sol had said he was going to head back home for the day, something about getting a new suit tailored... Rich guys...

William entered the Infirmary and headed for Kimikos office. She was his personal physician and had yet to be unable to provide him a swift recovery when injured. He limped his way to her door and stopped to listen for a few moments. The sound of her violin could be heard as she lightly played a tune. After listening for almost a minute William knocked lightly. The music stopped and there was the sound of a chair creaking. The door was answered a moment later by a pretty young woman.

Kimiko was not a tall woman by any means, coming up to an even five feet tall. From Williams guess she could not have weighed more than little over one hundred pounds at most, either. She had a soft cream colored complexion and wore her black, though violet sheened, hair down to her shoulders with long bangs that partially concealed her white and lavender colored eyes. She wore a white turtleneck and light blue jeans today, with a white doctors jacket over that.

She was always self conscious about her eyes because she knew that her blindness was apparent by their color. This never bothered William, though. In fact he thought she had very pretty eyes. Their unusual color and tilted almond shape always seemed exotic to him.

"Hello, William. What did you do to yourself this time?" Kimiko asked in her quiet, polite, voice.

It might unnerve some people to know that a blind person knew who they were before they had even spoken. This was one of the things that made Kimiko unique. Though she was blind in the normal sense of the word she was still able to see in another way. She was able to see the aura of a person, their life force, or their spirit. Because of this she could distinguish one person from another. Along with her ability to view auras she could also manipulate them, which allowed her to be a quite effective healer.

"Sol was bothering me so I decided to hit him in the jo staff with my knee... and my face..." William said.

Kimiko smiled at him, "Well, let's hope he learned his lesson." She stepped back and gestured for him to take a seat on the table in the canter of the room.

William was quite familiar with the routine and took his customary spot on the edge of the table. Kimiko walked up to him and began to move her hands through the air before him. She did this for several minutes before finally standing straight again.

"Looks like mostly bruises, a couple cuts, and your jaw is slightly dislocated."

"Cool, simple fixes. So, are we still on for reading tonight?"

"Of course, you were gonna read "The Tale of the Knight, the Princess, and the Dragon". I wouldn't miss that. Now, let's get you fixed so you'll be up for it."

That said she went to work manipulating his aura to repair the damage done during his earlier sparring match.

((Sorry for the delay on this Kyground, writers block...))

Matt felt the hook of the blade catch him in the back of the leg and fell back as his leg was pulled forward. He landed flat, which would have knocked the wind from hi lungs were it not for his breastplate. He hit the ground with a clanging thud and rolled backwards in a reverse somersault which ended with him low to the ground, crouched, with both hands up and ready to defend.
