She smiled, "Yeah, that'd be good," she replied, putting her hands in her pockets, looking at him. "You want to go to the McDonalds downstairs or go someplace else?" she asked.

"At this point it really doesn't matter. But thank you for letting me come along... I think I actually got Lilly really pissed at me this time..." he said as he too put his hands in his pocket. John suddenly remembered that she was supposed to have his hoodie, he shook it off fast,"uhhmmm actually why not go to McDonalds." he suggested.

"Okay," she smiled, "Sounds good to me," she began to walk down the hall, feeling a bit guilty for not visiting Lilly sooner, but Lilly didn't know she was there right? So she wouldn't mind if Beth hung around a bit more with John.

"Cool." he said and sighed, John smiled to Beth. "So... all you did was go for a drive? was something bothering you?" he asked, trying to make it so it wasn't quiet the whole way downstairs to the McDonalds.

Beth scratched her head, "Kind of," she replied, "But its always nice to go for a drive, I ended up at that old museum I used to go to. It was interesting, I like it more now that I'm not ten." she smiled.

John put his hands on his neck and leaned back a little with his head,"So then... what were you thinking about?" he asked, John liked that she didn't go anywhere dangerous, he couldn't handle another friend of his in the hospital.

"Well, the exhibit was about Egypt, so I was thinking about how icky it was having your brains pulled out your nose," she wrinkled her own nose, pressing the button for the elevator. "But... Jake's birthday is coming up."
So was hers, just the day before Jake's, but she didn't mention that.

John looked over to her,"That's nasty Beth." he said and playfully pushed her and stepped into the elevator as the doors opened up,"Oh really now? thats awesome then. But I don't wanna talk about sad things..." he said as he waited for her to hop in the elevator with him

She shoved his shoulder as she got in, pressing the button as soon as she could. "I win!" She smiled, although the nurse that was already in there looked at the two strangely, but recognized them.

John stuck his tongue out at her,"Cheater." he jested and put his hands behind him and leaned against the wall of the elevator next to Beth. He looked over to her and waited for the doors to open to get out.

"Did not!" she replied in a kiddish tone. The nurse got off on the next floor and they were alone for the rest of the way down.

John watched as the nurse had walked out. He then laughed as soon as she left,"She probably thought we were the stupidest people in the world." he said and looked over to Beth out of the corner of his eye again,"Did so." he replied.
