A new banner artist was found and commissioned.
Also, there are an extreme number of character applications, but, as Ominous Bloodlust mentioned earlier today, a shockingly few number of them ever actually join.
How would you feel if the mods started PMing applicant suggestions and corrections? It would give you more face time with the mods, you would receive a PM when everything was A-OK (no more flitting around, waiting for a mod to edit your post), and not everyone would have to see what of yours needed fixing. Thoughts? PM me.

We're cleaning house this week, moderator-wise. Currently, the Vice-Captains are looking at a new cadre of mods. If you'd like to "apply," please PM K 19. Applying does not guarantee a position. With that in mind, inactive moderators will be decomissioned to make ample room for new electees.
I've received enough positive feedback about the afore-mentioned application amendment that I believe we will go through with it. More details will come around shortly.
One banner isn't enough! If you know a good artist who would be willing to be commissioned by the guild to slap together some Star Wars art, we'd love to take a look.

Okay guys, my first post here. I've been doing some stuff with the RP, mainly regarding the new archive. I'm not gonna bother linking it, since everyone should know it exists by now.... that, and it's not all that hard to find.
In any case, not terribly much to do, other than keep the train that is the MRP a chugging.

Getting to the matter, there are two new threads dedicated to the Main Roleplay: the Obra-Skai Archives and Discussion threads. Essentially, these are two archival threads on basic information pertaining to our Roleplay, and/or all other Star Wars roleplays. It is, at its heart, an archive of member-created entries based on canon or fanon Star Wars material. Wanna check it out for yourself? Go Here

Just a reminder that all roleplayers petitioning for a position in the Jedi and Dark Jedi start their roleplay careers here.
A mistake was made, and the consequences are being felt in this guild. I need everyone to look past their own personal feelings in the matter and realize that everyone errs.
Still, actions have been taken, and I thank everyone for their heartfelt concern for the integrity of this roleplay. I appreciate the raw honesty in the PMs, E-mails, and instant messages I've received. You can look around for yourself to see what's different.

Changes are coming to the guild.
It's obvious to the rest of you, but I'm no longer able to moderate this guild "full-time," keeping RP running, keep you peeps happy, etc. Clearly, we're lacking mods with the time and talent. Therefore, I've re-instated ElladanKenet (should he choose to accept), and I'm looking for more moderators to run the RP and applications in my absence.

Take a peek at the modlist, see what's different. Also, did you notice the new subforum? You can't actually look inside it yet (erm, not like there's anything there yet anyway), but one of our newest moderators suggested an archive-- a sort of museum for the guild, where derelict threads, old RPs, things we could go without but don't want to let die because we're pack rats-- I'm excited to see what will happen.
Also, as the apex of the "current" RP begins to die down, we're going to want to know your thoughts on the role-play... and your visions of the future.

January 25, 2009 First update of 2009 isn't looking all that happy. After more than a 7 weeks in the polls, the vote to timeskip or retire the curent roleplay has gone unanswered. So, after much deliberation, the moderator crew (namely myself and Sephiroth_2000), have decided that it's time to call it quits on the lame duck that is the Oronar RP, and to move on to something different, and hopefully better. We apologize for any conveinces, but as said, we believe that this decision is the best for the guild, and we hope you are willing to help us out with it. Yours Truly, The TGC Moderating Crew P.S.
