"Thats the one... She said something that got my journalistic brain wondering, we were talking about the lockout, she said there were too many staff to have gotten them all out... My mind wonders, just how does she know how many work here, I've never seen more then half dozen or so personally, I haven't actually heard of anyone knowing just how many..." Joliette tapped her chin

"Well just think about it Joli." Awen tapped her fingers againt the table softly. "It's a big island. A huge facility. You didn't think it was just the cafeteria ladies, Sabin Moreau and Audrey did you? Of course Moreau has to have a huge staff for this place. It's just..well logical."

"Possible, Emelyn says the mansion is oppulant to the point of arrogance, like spending money dictates rank... he strikes he as someone who may have more then he needs, I guess we'll never know... but I dunno, she seemed almost nervous, ... Oh well, I suppose if theres anything we need to know we'll find it out" She shrugs "Who knows..."

"Well...hey..there's not anything wrong with...living it up sometimes... I mean.. He had to start somewhere. Despite everything... He had to start somewhere and probably worked hard for all this anyway. And even if he didnt I mena..just because he has money....." She was really flustered now. "I thought we were talking about staff members!"

" she knew very well the last time she'd had any animalistic instincts show up had been around Awen in the jungle weeks before

Awen leaned against her doorframe and sighed softly. She would never see Chubbs come by and the manta knew it all too well. She was going to leave. She had to before Avery and Rex changed.
Awen had no way of knowing she was too late on one of the accounts. Nor would she care. Her main focus is getting to mainland and shutting down Moreau once and for all. She moved into her room and grabbed the wallet from her purse. She took out any of the precious photos and thigns that would be damaged by the water. She didn't have room in her pockets for the wallet so she just would carry it until she got to the beach. Then she would stick it in her pants and go into the ocean.... And leave this god foresaken island.

The Final Straw
Late afternoon, the familiar noise of the jeep rumbles towards the village from the direction of the beach. Connected to the tail is a trailer with a large, metal cage, about 10'x10'x10'.
Whistling happily in the driver's seat is a familiar-to-some white-haired man dressed in covering, dark clothing.
The jeep pulls up to the northern edge of the village, and after fidgeting with the release mechanism for a few moments, the large cage drops heavily onto a bare patch of ground in the square, near a few of the benches that Anjali had added in.
Passed out on the metal bottom of the cage is Jamal.
Once the delivery has been left, the man wastes no time in getting back in the jeep and driving back towards the labs.
The cage is large and square. The metal bars are wide enough to be able to fit an arm through, but not much else. Much like most of the technology from the labs, there is no big, simple padlock on the cage. In fact, there doesn't appear to be any obvious sort of door at all.
If somone inspects it very closesly, it looks as if one of the four side walls is able to be removed, but through a complicated procedure that can't be conducted without heavy-duty equipment (more than the likes of anything the islanders have access to) and electronic passkeys.
There is no food or water in the cage. If Jamal wants it, he's going to have to learn to play nice with passerbyers.
Finally, on a sign attached to the front of the cage, in big bold letters is the words: "PLAY NICE"
Awen had just stepped out of her duplex with two noted in hand when she heard the jeep. It wasn't often she saw anyone pass by that contraption. It must have been important. She heard the sound fade and grow more distant but her eyes locked on the large object that was now in the square. Though she was doing something important curiosity got the best of her and she wandered over to the thing.
She didn't see at first but slowly it became more evident. The bars of a cage stood clearly agaisnt the otherwise free surroundings. She didn't understand the sign at first, play nice? It made no sense...until she noticed the black man passed out at the bottom of the cage. "Oh my god Jamal!"
She gasped and rsuhed to the side of hte cage. The man appeared to still be out cold. "How could they....why did they...." Her heart beat quickly she felt the pulse all through her body. She reached into the cage and gently touched Jamal's clawed hand. "I'm going to stop this. Don't you worry...."
She stood up the firey determination in her eyes. She had to do this. Moreau was getting riddiculous. They have turned the figurative prison of the island into an actual prison for Jamal. This was the last straw. No regrets no worries...she was going for it now.
There was a sharp knock at Avery's door. To anyone else that has ever heard Awen's knock this ws nothing like her polite tappings. This was something fueled, something feiry, something ....angry.
But without waiting for a reply a small piece of paper was slipped under the door of the duplex.
Quote: It's time. I'm not waiting anymore. Once I'm gone please tell everybody. Especially Chubbs and Jamal.... I'm heading off the beach by the beach bar, just to give you an indication. Bye Avery, Awen P.S. Wish me luck.
And with that the blue haired girl was gone. Off to Rex's duplex to drop a similar note.
Awen stormed up to the duplex and was going to slip the note under Rex's door but paused. Amaya Zach and Rex were all outside. She took a deep breath and kept walking forward. She seemed angry, the usually greyish toned skin was a little red. She paused before Rex and handed him a note which read:
Quote: It's time. I'm not waiting anymore. Once I'm gone please tell everybody. Especially Chubbs and Jamal.... I'm heading off the beach by the beach bar, just to give you an indication. Bye Rex, Awen P.S. Wish me luck.
And with that the blue haired girl was gone. She turned on her heel and trodded purposefully off to the beach.
