Gabrielle was looking at the new comers. The Dawn Striders were here in force and the presence of their leader seemed to give them an overall strength. A presence which she somehow envied, but she wasn't expecting anything from her own leader. Her annoyance grew stronger as the Dawn Captain keep calling other leaders with nickname. Where they suppose to all meet up to bind together? If so, the attitude of the Dawn Strider was not to encourage Gabrielle's cooperation. Gabrielle sighed. She knew two things. First her own feelings were useless and born from darkness which she was refusing. Second the Dawn Captain probably did not care to please the other factions' members.

The darkest among the Holy Knight scratched her head and looked with a mixture of amusement and annoyance at the family gathering. Then her eyes drifted to the other Holy Knights. It seemed obvious that serious matter did not seem the main subject anymore. She should better take some rest. The moon was now high, close to midnight. Only the green fire coming from Knex, the red guard member, was still up as Shiroka's white flame had fade out with her access to the second rank.

Gabrielle hesitated a second then gave a quick nod to Nina and a long look to Dimitri. Then she stepped out of the circle and found a quieter spot away from the Dawn Striders' chatterings. She sat there wondering what would become of a group so inapt to communicate with one another.

Shiroka was now much more calm. She could feel that the group was getting bigger. She could even sense a Dark Knight. With cautious step she walked back towards the fire. The green light was casting a strange shadow over the different people.
With so many new faces, Shiroka felt a little lost and she stopped a little away from the group.

The young woman cast a quick look at the Dark Knight who was alone afar from the group. She did not find the courage, nor the energy to talk to him. She tried to find Yata, but the troll was hidden in the middle of the Dawn Striders. She looked at the different faces, it looked like a big family. A pale and gentle smile came to her lips. Family...such a treasure. She wished she were part of theirs, part of Yata's.

Discretely, Shiroka walked back to Jin's side and sat in silence, trying to be as small and unnoticed as possible. So many people, she did not feel at ease at all.

Jon stopped in his stride picking up on something and turning around to face his wife with a cocked eyebrow, "Mori? Um is there something that you might need to tell me?" He had only picked up on a little of the conversation but it was enough for him to know that there was something being hidden fro him. He didn't want to hear it through an accidental eaves dropping though, he wanted to hear it from the lips of his wife. If she wouldn't tell him he knew a certain full blooded demon he could find it out from or a dessert Rat that would most likely be returning onto the dawn to do business at the docks who could find out. He wasn't angry he just wanted to know and now was as good a time as any to find out.

Mori's glare at Puck turned hotter when he looked at her smugly, but she sighed and let it go. It was out of the bag now. "I... I haven't been feeling well lately..." she admittedly softly; she tried to keep it simple, downplaying it. She looked a little sheepish and embarrassed at being called out, a flush present on her cheeks. She stood a little awkwardly, not sure how he would react to this. It hadn't been for vendictive reasons, rather she just didn't want to upset him. That he wasn't upset yet was a slight relief, though she still had to wait for his response.

Two months, Puck bothered to correct her telepathically to Jon, not letting her get away with a thing. His tail wagged slightly, relieved this was finally coming out. Maybe the silly creature would finally let someone look at her. She has been ill for two months, at least, and has not seen anyone about it. My aunt also has some silly idea in her head about needing to prove herself to you, and so has not told anyone. I only know because I caught her. He was a little smug about this. Mori was a very good secret keeper, so him finding out was a small miracle.

"Two months?" How had he failed to notice for two months, "I would be annoyed if I wasn't a little impressed that you hid it so well." Wait no he should not have been congratulating her for this. "But that isn't the point, why didn't you tell me?" He was pretty much ignoring the little tattle tale now focusing on Mori as much as possible.

(...All I have to say is this sets a bad model for Dae and Kalina, praising some one for keeping a secret, honestly...)

Mori's flush grew darker and she looked at him from under her eyelashes in a brief flash of amusement. Only Jon would praise someone for hiding something from him. She twisted her ring nervously when confronted on why she hid her illness; she wanted to reach out and hold him, but refrained since they were in front of strangers. "I was such a burden when we met, remember?" she finally said softly, "I didn't want to be that way again... And I kept telling myself it was just a bug, I would get over it." She had been deluding herself. Obviously, two months of illness was not a bug, but saying anything would have been admitting she was wrong, and she didn't want to worry him.

Dimitri took notice of Gabrielle's departure.

Something weighed on her mind, he could tell for certain. Though the scholarly knight was unsure if it was for the same reason that Dimitri was unsettled as well.

Standing and beginning to walk over the sandbar, in a direction similar to Gabrielle's. His mastery of light caused the colors of the surroundings to envelope and mirror his body and movements as he faded from view.

It only took a few moments to come upon the darkened Holy Knight.

"My dearest lady. You sense it as well? The weakening of purpose already? The lack of information, a sure sign that we face destruction should we even attempt to face this chaos?"

Dimitri's form appeared once again as the light bent back to its natural state, revealing his light bearded face and chiseled features.

"Or is it your condition?" his voice changed to a softer tone, "Or.. something else?

((It's Jon what did you expect. Besides he's smart enough to know that if he gets upset with her over it, the next time something happens he might never know about it. At least this way she gets a little Moral boost.))

Jon placed a gentle finger under Mori's chin and lifted her face so that he could look into her eyes. "Listen, that was then this is now. I let you take care of me when I get injured, you should allow me to do the same for you. I'll tell you what, after we get done here I'll take you home and we will get a doctor to look at you." This was bothering Jon more than he was letting on but there was nothing they could do in that moment, especially since they were there for the captain's sake, "Just promise me you won't ever hide anything like that from me ever again, please."

Anlu continued to scratch at Puck ears, pleased that he enjoyed it, though she mentally questioned why he was growling at Raigon when he was only playing. Lifting her head up in a small jolt, she turned her attention to the puppet off away from the group. She knew he disliked fire, so she didn't mind when he didn't come closer. She would talk to him soon. Sighing, she relaxed herself, halfway laying on Puck, as she continued her scratching of the right places. Why don't you turn into your human form? You seem to spend a lot of time as an animal around me nowadays... Her thoughts were curious, but before he could answer her she watched Mori and Jon's sweet and gooey display. "Eew. Ick. Affection!" Smirking at them, she knew full well they'd probably try to get her back, but she was in a playful mood... a very playful mood. "Get a room, you two... maybe then you'll finally have kids..." She had no clue that that was the actual problem, the cause of Mori's sickness.

Moving stiffly, Vergil Returned the Captain wave, mentally recalling Anlu's description of her from way before, when it'd first joined the Striders. The puppet coccked its head to the side as it realized the oddity of having never met the woman before now, and it was sure ettiquette demanded it correct the oversight before too long. Now, however, was not the time. Vergil still struggled with the more subtle of emotions, butr the feeling that overcame the puppet as it watched Anlu speak with puck was almost like self conciousness. Being a voyuer was not its intention, so it scurried away from the group, leaving the old friends to themselves.

From where it wound up, Vergil had a perfect view of the pristine waters. It hadn't a great deal of experience with the oceans, but even a puppet couldn't help but find it soothing. Feeling unequipped for a social function, featuring many people it hadn't met, the puppet heaved its equivalent of a sigh, more like a full body shrug than anything else, and sat heavily in the sand. Staring out with its great yellow eyes and thinking back.

Smiling, the captain shows her pride as the Dawn shows up in strength. Looking over them carefully, she nearly falls from her position in shock. Waving off any concerned looks, the captain stands and brushes herself off. Excusing herself from the one-way conversation with the Red Guard leader, the captain moves purposefully towards the newer arrivals. The chaos in Mori's aura was disturbing, and upon closer inspection, the captain grinned mischeviously. Stopping midstride, she links arm with both Mori and her husband, practically dragging them along behind her. Stopping a little ways into the trees, she releases the couple, and turns to face them. The mischief remained in her expression, though her mouth showed sheer annoyance. "When were you two love birds going to tell me you were pregnant?" she had considered pulling just Mori aside, though she decided to drag along Jon since his wife was dealing with the real trouble.

Jon's eyes grew wide as his attention immediately dropped to Mori's mid section in sheer disbelief. "Wha...wha...what?" A knot formed in Jon's stomach as his heart raced slightly. To say that he was surprised was a mere understatement. He seemed to freeze in shock having lost all ability to speak for a moment. Then the words finally came, "Are you sure?" His eyes remained on Mori's mid section though his words were definitely aimed at the captain. There was a slight mixture of fear and nervousness deep within Jon at the thought of a child running around. Any weaker of a man would have fainted but Jon was fortunate enough to be able to remain on his feet in sheer shock.

"Unless there are two little parasites growing in there." she captain shrugs, poking Jon directly between the eyes to get his attention. "Hey, don't worry! I'm great with kids. And just think about how excited Yata will be." she grins, shifting her gaze back to Mori. "Geez, Mori, haven't you ever heard of morning sickness? How could you not know?" she sighs, exasperated. "I mean really. What am I going to do with you two? So clueless." shaking her head, the captain hides a grin.

Smiling at Jon, Mori said softly, "I promise." before she could do anything else though, Anlu hit on an emotional wound that made her flinch. She had been of the physical age to conceive for over a year now, yet they had no child, despite having never taken precautions. Mori was sure she was barren. The captain thankfully shocked her out of her brooding by pulling her and Jon to the side. However, her declaration had Mori feeling notably lightheaded, her legs folding underneath her with the grace of a hind as she tried to wrap her mind around it. Her hands rested protectively over her midriff as her telepathy reached out and she finally registered two, tiny echoes, faint and unassuming. "I'm pregnant..." Mori confirmed numbly, "With twins... I thought... I thought I was..." She stopped in mid-sentence; she had never admitted her fears of being infertile to anyone. Ignoring the captain's exasperated question (she thought morning sickness was called that because it stayed in the mornings, she was usually sick well into the evenings), she looked up at Jon with wide, slightly fearful eyes. What was he thinking? They had never really talked about having children, especially with the war going on, and she didn't know what he felt.

Puck chuckled at Anlu's teasing of his aunt, commenting dryly, If I switched to human form, we could give them a run for their money... It was a half-serious offer, but he kept his tone light and teasing. He didn't want her to know that his affections were growing stronger for her each passing day. That's why he spent so much time as an animal lately. His ears perked forward as his aunt was taken out of his ear shot, sparking his curiosity. What did the captain have to say to them that was so secret?

Jon let the intertwining thoughts and emotions rush through his head for a moment standing like a blank statue. Finally though they settled enough for him to get an image planted well in his mind of Mori and Himself along with two children. In his minds eye he stared at it thinking contemplating everything it meant. Finally a mixture of a light laugh and a sigh escaped his lips, "Wow, who'd have thought...twins...wow...twins."He was bewildered but the more he thought the more pleasant the thoughts seemed, though slightly frightening, "So I guess this means we really are going to be a full family after all...:" Finally his eyes met hers again, the first act of movement he had made for a little while, a smile starting to play across his lips. "We're going to be parents...a...a...family." Finally he wrapped his arms around Mori, "Don't worry it'll be fine, every thing's going to be great, just great." Everything made so much more sense now, especially the last month or so. In a way this knowledge was liberating, relieving, it scared him, but the fear made him feel so alive, so real...
