McDonalds' "curly fries". As a kid, I'd have taken one order of 'em over 1,000 Happy Meals. I know that they still make them (at least, last time I ordered some they did), but they changed something along the way that was apparently important, because now they scarcely taste any different form the regular fare.
Could just be the crap joint we have here, though.

bandaidd I miss the cool prizes we got in Cracker Jacks. I had enough of those little "holographic" cards to hide a body under. I'm pretty sure all but three of 'em were the same card, too.

Karashima Koji I miss those koala shaped cookies with the chocolate fudge filling that came in a hexagon shaped box. i think they were japanese or something but you used to be able to find them everywhere. Sometimes you can find them in the international foods area of your grocery store, or at an Asian grocer.

Not quite a food item I miss, but something related. While I can still get Pepsi, Mr. Pibb, etc, I do miss them coming in those 16 oz glass bottles with bottle caps. Pull-tab stuff was fun too, as for both types of containers, the companies would sometimes have promotional games where you had to collect caps / tabs to complete words, sets of NFL team helmets, etc.
Oh, and starting to miss Jolt a bit -- much, much tougher to find it nowadays, it seems. cry
