Noirta stayed back to view the scene and to make sure Zarud didn't recognize him. This will be enjoyable. twisted
Zarud looked at Valthier and Seth, why were they tormenting him, he had done nothing wrong in the city, he had obeyed the laws of the temple. So why?

"Nothing she didn't deserve." Seth replied to Zarud. "She betrayed my Matron Mother and lied to me... You know how I hate that." She didn't even try to hide her growing grin. Valthier's presence was only making things worse. "Valthier, I believe you've met Matron Kitlar... She had a little accident but I patched her right up, didn't I, dear?" She said stroking Erelavin's cheek. "Have you ever seen her look so charming Zarud?" Seth looked at him with the false innocence that had infuriated her teachers for decades. Her revenge was complete.

He stood shaking and looking into Seth's eyes he only said one thing "Why are you doing this?"

Seth's face changed in an instant. The childishness disappeared. Her eyes were a cold warning. "I'm tired of being betrayed and lied to. Valatar might be able to get away with it for now but I have use for him... Erelavin attacked my mother and betrayed our faith. I am making an example of her. I suggest that you show more loyalty than she did. Unless of course, you want me to have a family set."

valthier put a hand on seth's shoulder. "you will be getting another doll soon dear. you'd better get out of the way, i've got business-!!" he ended his sentence with a raised voice and shot his fist forward towards Zarud, releasing sharp wires from the knuckles of his gloves and wrapping them around the Kitlar mage's arms to pin them at his sides.

As the wires wrapped around Zarud he looked at Valthier "What are you doing! I've done nothing wrong!"

"call it business." he raised his other hand and wrapped a wire from his pointer finger around zarud's neck, tightening it to try to cut his head off.

As the wire cut into Zarud's neck, he snapped one of his fingers causing several blades to tear through his arm and cut the wires around his body. He grabbed something from inside his coat and held it to Valthier's head, it was a hand bow armed with a silver bolt "Let me go or I'll give you such a headache!"

Seth backed away quickly. She grabbed Erelavin's hand and pulled her to safe distance. There was no time to ask questions. She had meant to frighten Zarud but Valthier obviously had other plans. What those plans were Seth could only guess. She had never seen the high priest in combat before.

Noirta watched the two, they were both fools. If Zarud shot, Valthier would return to his coffin and regenerate. If Valthier removed his head, Zarud would die but regenerate as well. The only for them to kill each other was, for Valthier, to be struck through the heart and Zarud, to destroy his soul.

valthier growled, and turned into a gaseous cloud. he drifted under the door of the shop and returned to his physical form drawing out the sword Noirtra gave him.

Zarud slumped to the ground and felt the cut on his neck. He then stood up and held out the hand bow and check his surroundings. If only Valatar was here but he wasn't and Zarud doubted Valthier would listen to him any way.
He reach into his coat with his free hand and drew his scimitar Drejan.

taking beast form Val kiced down the door and charged at Zarud, swinging the blade in 3 arching swipes.

Seeing things get tense, Reivan grabbed the stranger and pulled him into a dark alleyway to observe safely, "watch your tongue my friend, you almost lost it along with several other valuable parts." He pulled his hood down and did the same to the other male, noticing the slight tan in the drow's skin, Reivan pulled the hood back down. "great a surface dweller, just what I needed."
