Lisa cracked up laughing, "That would be fun." She let out a huge sigh and looked at the young man in front of her. It was such fun to hang out with him but she knew that her husband would be pissed when he found out she went to the pool after the hot springs, "See you have no problem talking with people Cole. Don't know why you thought you did."

Cole shrugged.
"I dunno." He said, looking up at her.
"Probably because I never left my room enough to talk to anyone." He added as he let his body float at the surface of the water, treading his arms at his sides to make him move.

((I swear to god my ******** husband doesn't ******** listen!))

Lisa nodded slowly, "Well now you have left your room for once and hopefully you will start to talk to the other students your age."

((I'm...sorry?))

Cole shrugged as he let his legs sink back down into the pool.
He sunk down even farther so that the water came up to his chin and treaded water.
"Maybe. We'll see....." He said.

Jinx was fortunately far too relaxed to freak out about Moon Child leaning on him. He looked over to see her far off in her own little world. It was okay, he would stay awake to make sure they didn't stew in the hot springs, which he was becoming more and more afraid of. It was much hotter than he expected, but not unbearable. He thought about how the day had gone so far, his less-than-graceful entrance, meeting and almost losing Moon Child, and now here he was. He wasn't sure what was going to happen next in this crazy place, but he was certain it would be interesting. He leaned his head back and into Moon Child a bit, relaxing completely, but still keeping his eyes open.

With Jinx beside her Moon Child thought nothing of letting go to her dreams as her eyes slid shut though her sleep was not destined to last. Since a child she had been plagued by nightmares and now was no different. No sooner than she fell into sleep her world changed around her to a standing over a tall tower over looking an all to familiar garden. Standing with her feet precariously on the edge she looked out over it. In the waking world she grimaced wrapping one arm around one of Jinx's though as she dreampt she didn't notice though she moaned slightly in fear as in her dream her placid expression could be seen as she fell forward off the edge unable to wake herself.

Jinx's eyes widened in fear as he saw the look on Moon Child's face as she had fallen asleep. He had looked towards her, thinking she meant to say something as she wrapped her arm around his, but saw that she was fast asleep and, judging by her face, involved in what seemed to be a vivid nightmare. He quickly pulled her out of the hot springs, shaking her a little bit and trying to wake her up. "Hey, wake up!" he said urgently, "What's going on?" He looked frantically over her body to ensure she wasn't hurt, then tried again. "Come on, wake up!" he said again, shaking her a little more roughly this time.

In her sleep Moon Child watched her body fall as a spectator to the event though she could still feel what she watched and heard the sickening crunch of her body as it hit the stone path then the view changed and she was in pain and unable to move. In the living world her body was lifeless in his arms, her nightmares worse than they usually were. Normally she would wake herself or start awake if she was touched but not this time. Too deep in sleep and too enthralled by fear even her breathing was shallower than it should have been as her dream continued. It wasn't until he shook her more roughly her dream changed once more instead of being as she was and dying she was a child once taking a beating from a boy a few years older because she refused to speak. Only then as the pain from her dreams stopped her breathing before the mind reset itself throwing her back into consciousness gasping for air. Every part of her hurt from the dreams that felt to real as she instinctively jerked away from Jinx moving to quickly as if she didn't recognize him before an acknowledgment came into her eyes and she was truly awake. Letting herself fall to the ground she just sat there before raising a hand to her head as if expecting to see blood from the fall but there was none. Biting her lip she looked to Jinx ashamed of what she had done hanging her head saying the only thing that came to mind in a quiet whisper, "I am sorry." Feeling as if her voice had left her once more she let her hair hide her face from the friend she hoped she still had.

Zerlina opened one eye to see what the commotion was. After the girl had woken up she shut her eye again. She had a theory about why the girl had acted as she had, and never being one to care about interrupting people, she didn't bother waiting for 'the right time' to share it. "I bet she was acting like that during her sleep because you were touching her." Zerlina told Jinx, continuing to keep her eyes closed.

Mae was late. She knew that she was late, but she didn't care much, and no one else should. Pushing aside the rusty gate, Mae made her way into the school. Not even bothering to check the map for her dorm, or asking anyone where it was, Mae decided to explore and find out for herself. Wandering up the stairs, she made her way up to the towers. Mae always loved heights, even as a child. The towers were where she felt most comfortable. Still, Mae moved on to other rooms. Finally, she found her dorm, number 4, and set down her suitcase. Not having much to unpack, she went downstairs again to the lobby.

"I don't doubt that it's a possibility," Jinx said calmly to the other girl, "but if it was me, that's the first time I've ever caused a nightmare." He then took a few steps toward Moon Child, who was still hiding her face from him. "Look, I'm gonna give you a warning this time, but I'm afraid I have the phrase 'I'm sorry' copyrighted," he joked, crouching down to her level. "If you say it again, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask for some money. Besides, you don't need to apologize to me, especially if it was my fault." He reached up and slowly pulled her hair aside like a curtain, saying gently, "Are we doing allright? Maybe we should get out of this heat for a minute," he suggested. "It was kind of getting to me anyway. Can you get up?" he asked. He was sure her body was physically capable, but maybe she wasn't mentally sound after such a vivid nightmare. I wonder if she's had these before, he thought.

Moon Child didn't respond as Lin spoke. Maybe she was right. She had always had nightmares but normally she could wake herself up before it got to the worst parts. Normally her body would wake her before she stopped breathing and her brain reset her system. Even Jinx's joke wasn't enough to make her smile though she did appreciate the effort. It wasn't until he pulled her hair aside that she even realized how close he had gotten as her heart beat to fast and her eyes had tears in them. Asking if she could get she was tempted to say no but truth was she wanted to see something. To climb the school towers in the steps of her dream and see if it was the same. Taking a deep breath she said with shame in her voice, "I will be fine. It's happened before. Just usually not so bad." She meant it but she still didn't move as the phantom pain that had never truly existed started to fade.

Lisa lifted herself out of the water and sat on the side of the pool with her legs dangling over the side in the water, "We'll see? I think you have enough confidence to go ahead and talk to any girl you want. I bet you."

Jinx's heart rate finally slowed down as she claimed that she was okay. He was finally able to relax. Even though he had been joking, he was still panicking in his head and in his heart. He pulled his hair out of his face, and noticed that Moon Child had been crying. "You don't seem allright. Is there anything I can do?" He sat down on one of his ankles. The rocks kind of hurt his feet a bit, but he could deal with it for a second. "I'm really sorry if I caused your dream, or if I made it worse," he said. He certainly hoped that dreams like that weren't common for her, but she did say it had happened before. "I can get out of your hair for awhile, if you like." he suggested with more than a hint of sadness. He hoped he was hiding it well, though. "I do need to clean up my room, after all," he tried dismally at a joke. His forced laughter rang in the acoustics of the hot springs, but only lasted for a second before he choked on it.

Moon Child didn't respond to whether he made it worse or not, "I have had them before it will pass." she didn't know herself and wanted to know for sure before she said anything to him. Thank the gods he wasn't a mind reader. To be honest she didn't want Jinx to leave but somehow she thought he would object to what she wanted to do when he got her to tell her why she wanted to go. His laughing was hollow to her as she turned to Zerlina, "Why did you say? What makes you think it was Jinx?" Her tone was not harsh but more curious to any theory she had. As if afraid Jinx would leave she took his hand twining her fingers around his so if he tried to leave he would have to take her with him.
