Aras blinked at the boy, her teal eyes suddenly wide awake and curious.
"Does my hair taste good?" she asked him, and though it might have been a sarcastic comment from anyone else, from her it was a sincere question that she truly wanted to know the answer for. She paid no mind to his leg, he was just keeping her warm, was all she thought.
Though ... she realized a moment later that he was probably the one that needed to be kept warm.
"Where's your clothes?" was her next question, followed by, "Why are you wearing Armus's hat?"
Corrah turned then to look at Ruran, his scarred face as expressionless as ever. "I am rested," he replied enigmatically. "Come. We have to continue your training while we wait for Armus to return with your sisters."
He nodded towards the woods around them. "Find wood suitable for a fire. I don't care how much, just find some."

Rhea's ear twitched at the sound of a unfamiliar voice. He opened his golden eye to look into the pretty teal eyes of his bed mate. And his tail beat harder against the hat.
He smiled at her friendly sounding voice. She was must be his stronger little mate. He moved over her and licked her cheek warmly. His naked body moving over Aras's, his tail wagging so hard and beating against Armus' arm, and now his soft pale blue eye shinny down at her.
Kanis opened her eyes slowly, "Aras who are you talking too?" She yawned and turned to look over at her sister and he naked wolf boy above her. "What is going on?" She asked in shock.
Ruran nods, "Yes sir.." he moved carefully and clearly gratefully from the water fall and moved to look for some wood.

Aras giggled at the boy. He was cute, and he was funny! When Kanis spoke to her, she looked over her shoulder at her sister and giggled again.
"Look at the little wolf boy!" she said brightly. "Isn't he cute? I don't know where he came from, but I think he's cold, because he's snuggling real close."
Armus had fallen asleep shortly before daybreak, but now she woke again, her warm blue eyes clouded with sleep. She blinked for a moment, looking at what was going on, and then she sat up, rubbing her eyes, and laughed.
"Ah, I see you two have met Rhea," she grinned, taking her now empty beret back and putting it back on her head. "He showed up in the middle of the night, and I think he doesn't have a family ... so I'm going to be taking care of him, and he'll be training with you two and your brother."
She had decided that in the night, and she just hoped that Rhea wouldn't mind.
"Rhea, say good morning to your fellow trainees."
Corrah watched Ruran as he headed off for some wood, then moved to dip his hands into the fresh, cool mountain stream. He was thirsty from his long night of vigilance, and he cupped his hands and drank deeply while he waited for Ruran to return.

Rhea nuzzles under Aras' chin and licked her neck before he turned up and looked at Armus. His tail wagged against and he let out a good morning howl lowering his face to nuzzle Aras' cheek and lick her skin before running and pouncing on Kanis nuzzling her cheek and licking her jaw.
Then last but not least he padded over to Armus and let out a happy little howl and licked her chin nuzzling against her chest. His little tan back side shaking as his tail wagged. A thin fur trail moved up his back from his tail.
Kanis gasped and blushed brightly as the naked boy bounced and licked her. She laied there blushing. "A...A new trainee? Well that will make things even at least...does Corrah know?" she asked knowing that he was their main trainer.
Ruran grabbed as much wood as he could before returning to the water fall. He stayed close enough so he could always hear the water and this way he would not get lost."How much more do you need?"

Aras giggled at Rhea. As things turned out, she was quite ticklish! Not that she minded, he was cute. Honestly, she didn't understand why Kanis didn't appear to like it.
"Corrah doesn't know," Armus laughed, scooping Rhea into her arms and nuzzling his face. "But he'll know when we go find him later. Don't worry about him. He might seem grumpy on the outside, but he's not as bad as he seems. Trust me, when he puts you through hell, it's not because he wants to but because it makes you stronger."
Aras sat up and rubbed her chin to make the stickiness of Rhea's tongue off her neck. "So we're going to be living with him when we're with you and Corrah?" she grinned. "That's gonna be lots of fun!" She giggled.
Corrah looked down at the pile of wood that Ruran had brought and shook his head.
"The amount is not important," he said softly but sternly. "It is the quality."
He sat next to Ruran and produced a small knife from inside his robes.
"Take a thin one and cut it in half," he instructed. "Not like an axe or anything, just whittle at it til you get halfway through."

Kanis looked at bit shocked as she watched the small wolf boy. She was shocked that her first almost kiss was the warm tongue of a stranger. "He has a lot of energy...I am sure he will be a great sparing partner...can he speak?" She was now getting curious about the pup...though she blushed realizing already that he was built differently than her. Not just the tail and ears but the added something between his legs. She blushed a bit and looked away trying to get the small kinks out of her body.
"Yes he is doing this to better us! I can not wait to start!"
Rhea lapped his tongue warmly over Armus' face nuzzling against her. He growled playfully and started to pull on her hat with his teeth.
He then smiled at the two girls his tail wagging as he wriggled in his pack mother's arms.
Ruran tilted his head and took the knife. He nods, "Whittle? Um...what is that?" He asked as he started trying to work the knife threw one of the branches.

Armus laughed and let Rhea tug on her beret, but when he looked over at the girls again she noticed that Kanis looked a little ... embarrassed. She grinned. She had forgotten what modesty was supposed to be like.
"First things first," she grinned, tucking Rhea into the crook of her arm again. "Yes, Rhea can talk," she answered Kanis's question, "but not much. I think he understands more than he shows, though, because he does react to certain words and phrases, and he knew enough to tell me his name when I asked. I'll find him something to wear for a minute, don't worry."
Probably nothing more than a loin cloth for the moment, she would have to make him some clothes eventually.
Corrah sighed inwardly. Yes, he was going to have to start at the beginning.
"Hold it like this," he instructed, producing a second knife from inside his robes and holding it upright in his hand. "If you hack at the wood you're never going to make it through. Put the blade against the wood on an angle, then slide it down ... like this."
And he shaved a bit off a thicker piece of wood to show the boy how it was done.
"Shave it until you get to the middle of the twig."

Kanis nods, "Oh I see...so he can talk at bit? We need to teach him to talk wail we all learn to get better?" She wondered if all guys looked as odd as Rhea did. Where they all furry? She was very curious now about people.
Rhea heard name and he giggled, "Rrrrhea!" he yipped and looked alittle confused about being held in the crook of Armus' arm and he was slightly pinned. He didn't know being naked was wrong.
He tried to wriggle free of Armus' arm his little backside and tail poking out between her arm then he wriggle free and pounced on Aras again giggling he licked her cheek and smiled, "Rrrrhea?" he asked wanting to know her name.
Ruran raised a brow and watched Corrah work then he nodded and tried to mimic his teacher's actions. The first few tries he slipped up...and nearly cut himself but the fourth time he got the knife to work in.

Armus laughed softly. "Yes, we will all work together to teach him to talk, all right? So you can be a teacher while you learn, too!"
She squawked a bit as Rhea jumped free from her arms, but she laughed and gave up. He was a bundle of energy that she could not leash - and she didn't really want to, either. It wasn't natural, and Corrah had taught her that instinct had to rule ... in most cases.
Aras squealed as Rhea jumped on her again and fell back to the ground. Her eyes sparkled with laughter as he licked her cheek. "I'm Aras," she grinned at him, staring at his eyes. She loved how they were different colours, she had never seen anything so fascinating before! She had still hardly noticed that he was naked. To her it was an unimportant fact. There were so many much more interesting things about him than the fact that his anatomy was different from hers!
She giggled and poked his nose to see what he would do. "We're going to be good friends, right Rhea?" she grinned.
Corrah watched Ruran carefully.
"Always cut away from yourself," he murmured, "so that you're less likely to cut yourself ... don't make the angle too sharp, or else you won't get anything ... thin shavings, that's all you need ..."
He waited until Ruran had reached the middle of the twig, then held out one hand to stop him.
"Now," he said, a bit more firmly now, "I want you to tell me two things. First of all, what colour is the inside of the twig, and second, where did you find it."

Rhea's tail wagged as his pack mate spoke. His slightly wild eyes watched her lips move. "Arrrwoo......Arrraaaa...." he growled playfully and his ears lowered agianst his head as he tried to concentrate. "Arrrasss" He yipped happilly and tilted his head as she looked into his eyes. He seemed to calm a bit his tail slowing it wagging. Something about her teal eyes were rather calming and he didn't know why she was so interested in looking at his.
But as soon as her finger pressed against his nose his eyes crossed and he tried to lick her finger. He didn't know what she asked him but he nodded in agreement to her happy tone before he bonded off of her and moved towards Kanis.
He was on all fours and his tail was high and wagging.
Kanis shook her head, "No...no jumping on me..." she held out her hand standing now her eyes watching him already watching her 'rival's' movements ready to try and dodge his jump.
Ruran nods though he stiffened at the correction. But he followed the older man's words and he stopped when he saw the scared hand being held up. "It is green....and I found it by a small stream....to the left of here."

Aras giggled at Rhea's attempts to say her name, and when he tried to lick her finger she drew it back instinctively, and she watched as he bounded over to Kanis. He was so much fun!
"Now, now," Armus laughed, reaching out to pick the boy up again. "Let's get some form of clothes on you, and then we have to make ourselves some breakfast and then we'll make our way back down to Corrah and your brother."
She took a strip of cloth out of her bag and tied it around Rhea's waist, almost like a diaper, and tied it with her own leather belt.
"There," she grinned. "Good enough for now. Later after you girls are gone home again I'll make him some real clothes, and the next time you see him he should look pretty normal ... I guess."
She laughed again. Of course she would have to compensate for his tail ...
Corrah nodded and took the stick from Ruran, setting it to one side, then looked through the pile again and chose a different piece of wood, slightly thicker, bone dry to the touch.
"Now," he murmured, handing it to Ruran, "do the same with this one. Shave it to the core and tell me what colour it is and where you found it."

Rhea tilted his head as his other pack mate held up her hand to stop him. He was confused did she not want to play? He was about to jump when he felt Armus' hand around him. He blinked and looked at the clothe around him. He didn't understand why she would wrap him up and as soon as she set him down he bend down and started to chew on the belt holding the clothe.
He did not like this thing on him. What was it thing? Why did he have to wear it?
Kanis let out a sigh as the pup was taken up, "Oh we are making breakfast? I thought we were going to meet mom and dad for breakfast...or are we going to meet them for lunch?"
She smiled though watching her sister. It was good to see Aras really enjoying herself. This was good.
Ruran sighed and nods though. He took the stick and started to strip the stick. He did his work in silence until he was at the middle, "It is brown and dry...I found it in land from the stream and near some rocks."

Armus smiled at Kanis. "Well even if we set out right now we wouldn't make it in time for a breakfast," she explained. "And you do have to get some training in, so lunch it will have to be."
She looked at Kanis and grinned. "Do you remember where there was some water nearby us here?"
Aras was more interested in Rhea than in the lesson, and she wandered over to him, bending over in front of him to peer into his face.
"Why are you chewing that?" she asked him, putting one hand out to try to get between him and the belt. "That's Armus's belt, you're going to damage it ... you have to wear clothes you know, it's not polite to run around with no clothes on."
At least, that was all she knew on the subject.
"And don't worry, Armus will make you good clothes," she beamed, "and then we can play together! And train together! Won't that be fun?"
Corrah nodded, then gathered up the two piles of shavings, keeping them separate, and, pulling a piece of flint from somewhere in his robes he used the knife in his hand to stare to small fires.
"Look at them," he said quietly but firmly. He pointed first to the fire made from the shavings of the green-hearted stick. "See how it's smoking?"
Then he pointed at the pile made from the dry stick's shavings. "And this one is not. This is the kind of wood that you want to use to make a fire. Dry wood. Softwood to start the fire, but hardwood to make it last. But if it is wet, like this one," he pointed back at the first one, "then it will smoke, which means that some of it is being wasted."
He put his knife away. "Never waste what nature gives to you."

Kanis nods and tries to think if she saw some water. "Um...was there water near by? I don't remember seeing any....and yes we can meet mom and dad and Ruque at lunch...you do think they will remember that it was at lunch we were meeting?"
She nods looking up at Armus, "Um...water....wasn't there a creek to the right as we were climbing up here?"
Rhea didn't hear Aras moving towards him and when she put her hand between his mouth and the belt he started to lap at her hand instead. His mind momentarily distracted him from trying to get free from the clothes.
He liked her taste and smell. He was now far more interested in her hand then trying to get out of the clothes. He started to lick at her wrist his nose sniffing along her soft skin. He wanted to play with his pack mate.
Ruran raised a brow a bit confused why he should not waste nature. It could be replaced. He hated the wild and people. He was a sad little contradiction.
"I see...and why should we not waste it? If that is all we can get then we should use it."

Armus smiled at Kanis.
"If they come early, then Corrah and your brother will be there to greet them, I'm sure," she assured her. "Corrah will keep your brother in the same place so that we don't have to go looking for each other later on, don't you worry about a thing."
She put one finger to her chin thoughtfully as she gazed down at the little girl.
"One thing that we have to remember," she murmured, "is that when you are traveling, there is no right or left ... right and left depend on what direction you're facing. For directions, there are north, east, south and west ... but we'll save that lesson for another time. Yes, there was a creek to our east as we traveled. Do you think you can get a bit of water from there? Or would you rather I come with you?"
Aras meanwhile was still giggling at Rhea. "That tickles!" she exclaimed, trying not to flinch - but the result was that her body began to shiver. Finally, she could stand it no longer, but she pulled her arm back and rubbed it against her stomach to try to get rid of the tingling sensations. In the end, the only thing that worked was rubbing her arm against the thick leather of her own belts.
Corrah frowned with displeasure.
"What nature has to offer is not something for us to use whimsically," he said crisply. "We have no right to it, the fact that nature is there for us to use to live is a gift. Abuse of any gift results in a loss of that gift. Abuse nature, and it will die, and you will be left with nothing and no way to survive."
He paused, as if trying to think of an example.
"We have wood for burning, to give us heat and light," he said finally. "But if we were to burn down all of the trees, we would have no source for either heat or light. Or even things that aren't the same ... smoke would scare off many animals, and you would have a harder time hunting, and have less food. Everything you do has a repercussion ... and you will learn eventually what they are and how they effect you in return."
