3rd June 2009
Okay, about time I updated my journal. Just finished my A Level exams finally!
My story is on hold as there was too much happening and I need some time away from it for a while. So, as I keep getting requests on FictionPress, I will write another for them...which I am actually enjoying.
Favourite piece of today: It was preposterous anyway. Phoenix was too young and naïve to have a real relationship and though he could not deny attraction, he doubted any real feelings could ever flourish between them. He got to his feet, actions mirrored by his superior. Amaraclys' hands smoothed down the front of his golden robes, the symbol of his power over the Clan before reaching out and shaking his friend's.

21st June 2009
I totally gave up on my FictionPress story as it turned into a load of utter crap. I need better work to post on there so I'm continuing with Carnality. I do miss this story and it feel so damn good writing it again.
I want my AS results now! Haha, impatient little me. Just started my Year 13 work...so I'm bogged down. For Media I need to come up with an idea for a short film with a message. For English I need to do a comparison text case study. For DT I need to come up with an Art Deco Modern piece of furniture to make. For ICT I need to complete a whole magazine to submit in September to the lower years...oh jesus.
So...nudge me if I am slacking in my updating process!
*Runs off to write more about my lovely men*

I think you're doing a fantastic job with all the updating considering you're the only mod left in the guild. xd
And, it really looks like you're busy with school! The only thing I can say (perhaps not in comfort, either) is that year 13 is pretty much all hard work. XD But hey, it's totally worth it in the end, especially for that three month summer that you'll get. I'm still trying to relax enough to enjoy mine. heart

Hey, if you find it too hard you can always drop one can't you? =3
You'll be fine. I know loads of people who took four subjects. As far as I know they're doing fine (though I suppose our summer results could prove me wrong... XD).

Eeek I suppose so! I had a dreadful awards evening where I got an award for English. It was dreadful, next year if I get one...I am so skipping.

But getting awards can be fun?
At the end of this year our form tutors made up silly awards for two people in their form. I got "Most Likely To Be in Waterstones", and my form tutor (also my English Literature teacher) said that this was not only as a customer but as a name on the front of a book. XDD I'm glad she has faith in me - though it was pretty embarrassing, lmao.

Well, that does kinda suck. It's always nice to have something to show people though, especially if you go on a university interview, or something like that. :]

Yeah sure is biggrin
Well...my story is finally starting at about 86,000 words in, when my three men have gotten together. Writing the three way relationship has definitely been a strain, especially during the sexual scenes...ack! War! Finally!

Haha wow, that's a pretty late start. How long do you think this novel will be? =O

Psychotic Maniacal Sanity Haha wow, that's a pretty late start. How long do you think this novel will be? =O Honestly...I have no idea. This is one I haven't planned at all and yet, I have the gift of it all making sense in the end xD I'm trying to beat my 120,000 word novel...which I definitely think I will do.

Haha, I certainly think so! My longest novel currently stands at 136k (it was 140k, but I cut out a few scenes from the finished first draft), and most of my others are between 104k and that. I pretty much always end up over 100k, though.
For my new novel, I'm not so sure. I think it's might shorter. Actually, I kinda hope it will be, because then it won't feel like such a chore to edit it, and I might be able to do something with it for once.

Haha all mine always go over that 100,000+ mark. By the time I have finished I can never remember the beginning so I can edit properly xD

I'd like to be able to do edit like that, but once I start reading again I tend to remember it quite well. This is also the reason why I don't tend to read many books more than once. If I do, it's because they're really good. XD
