Savith turned his head to peer at the catelf, curled up so peacefully near by. "Yes, more than likely," he comments, unable to keep the half-grin from his features. "And a right nuisance she's bound to make of herself in the process."

"More for you I think," Crosscurrent smirked as he re-started his journey into the water. By now it was lapping his torso: his red tail submerged. Green eyes opened again as he patiently kept moving. Accepting the pain, which showed in flashs on his face, as he went.

Another pause as he asked, "How did she convince you to break her neck like that anyway?"

Savith turned his face from Crosscurrent under the guise of needing to focusing on pushing more sand his way so as to hide any shift is his expression at the query. "She wanted to free fall. I'd pulled myself and others about her size out of dives like that before, so I didn't think it'd be too dangerous. At least, I was reasonably sure of myself. I suppose, I'm just not up to my full strength still, after everything that's happened... and well, your added weight at the hardest part of it didn't really help matters." He was more in control now, and so turned to face Crosscurrent again.

The incredulas look Crosscurrent gave the glider when he mentioned that his weight held any blame .. well, it didn't take a Sending to read how he found that statement impossible. Manners to not wake Dancer with what would become a shout-match made him stay silent.

A blink of green eyes. Another. Then a snicker to himself as he pushed himself fully into the water.

**Just admit that to her and I'm sure you'll gain weight enough to never fly again** he lock-Sent in amusment with the mental image of a fat Savith. A mother-henning Dancer stuffing more blush berries into her injuried ward.

**But no more playing in the water like that. I'm not up to saving either of your hides right now.**

ooc: I'm gone for the night. Laters.

About here is where Fire Bright stood and let her head fall to the sand jerking her awake with a yelp. "AHHH" She woke with wide almost wild eyes for a moment then blinked a few times. Looking about she noticed Crosscurrent gone. Scrambling to the water she sent out to him. She didn't care if it was open or not, she just wanted to reach him. *Oh Crosscurrent I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for anyone to get hurt. Please please don't be angry with me for to long. Please don't hate me.* Oh the sorrow and hopelessness in her send. It was like heavy weight. The feeling of guilt, sorrow and worry consumed her.

Savith watched in silence.

She was very emotional, was Dancer.

**Go coddle the Glider** Crosscurrent open-Sent. THe mental tone with so many mixed emotional hues as to be almost bland. He was perfectly able to see the youth's feet from the water he was inching through. **I won't be going far anytime soon** was the bland assurance (although the amusment of that part held a hint of bittersweet to it).

The Wavedancer choose a further submerged rock to rest upon. Finding any kind of comfortable position was impossible, but he made do. His mind 'humming' as one would to find the dolphin pod if one hadn't befriended one already. It was an open-Sending that held no words but the feelings of one alone and looking for friends. Likely only the dolphins or tribemates would recognize what it called: who knew how Glider took to their giant birds.

ooc: roll is for a dolphin friend, which I doubt will happen soon. He has such rotten luck.

Savith quirked a brow at Adin's send, snickering silently to himself. WHile his eyes regarded Dancer and his expression blanked over again, his mind sought out the wavedancer's.

**Coward,** he teased privately, **Force me to bear the burnt of her wild emotions.**

**Consider that action a 'thank you' that won't make either of us bristle. Besides, you did a foolishness from her goading. You need to learn a little lesson too.**

Crosscurrent's smirk beneath the waves as he lay there making for a lovely picture of mischief. The lock-Sending without regret.

Savith struggled to keep from letting the mental snicker he shared priavtely with Crosscurrent play across his features. As it was, he couldn't keep the twinkle from his eyes, but those he never seemed to allow another to see fully. **Such a grand teacher I have,** he quipped at the wavedancer, **I shall endeavor to be an equally grand pupil!**

But she already did what she thought she could for Savith. She didn't want to coddle him. She wanted to see Crosscurrent's eyes and dote on him again but just frowned and turned from the water. Moving over to Savith she said quietly. "Is there anything else I can do for you Savith? Maybe get you something to eat or drink? Find something for you to lift your leg up a bit more.

Still Sending, Crosscurrent took the time to take one of the clams from his net-bag and broke the shell across the rock he rested on. It was not quick, or pretty, but done much like the playful otters.

Despite her honest sorrow he felt it best not to coddle Dancer's feelings right now. He could stand a few days alone right now. No doubt he'd have to ask for help soon anyway.

"I'm alright, for now," Savith replied, having decided not to ask for something she'd have to go into the water for. "You might finish your nap in the shade, though. I know I'm about ready to get out of this sun." Crispy's only good on chicken.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 08, 2008 9:26 pm

Dancer glanced back to the water then at Savith again. "Can I help you get to the shade somehow because I'm done resting? She smiled softly at him. He could see if he looked that she still held a lot of self blame for what happened. Especialy after not being able to help Crosscurrent in any way like she did Savith. Pointing to the lean too that was made for her to rest under she said quietly. "That's the closest shade here on the beach unless you think you could make it home. Either way when you are comfortabley resting I will get you some food and water." Dancer starting to set her mind to nursing Savith as much as she could because she needed something to think about other then the water elf suffering his wounds all alone and not letting her know how bad he is.

Savith, too, flicked a glance at the water, but refrained from his mental comment. "I'm fine," he replied, voice still light. "I can make it," he stated, and started the process of lifting himself up. Oooh, that smarted.
