"Oh, well... that's fine. I'll try one later, if that's all right with you." He really hated to eat in front of people. Of course, Anatu probably had expected him to try one, so now he just felt awkward... "So... would you like to sit down? How has your week been?"
PostPosted: Mon Aug 25, 2008 4:42 pm

"That's fine." He gave a purra dna anod. He wasn't going to force Kaspar to eat one, and he was totlaly fine if he wanted to wait to eat one. He felt he needed to explain himself, "I... tend to snack when I make cookies... sometimes." He girnned a bit sheepishly. That had been the case today anyways, he had a sweet tooth even if he made them all the time. It was amazing how if one didn't pay attention you could eat quite a few cookies.

He wasn't bothered in the slightest that Kaspar refused, and he looked at him when he was offered a seat, "Oh... um... Sure ~" He glanced around then back at the angel with a smile, moving to take a seat, "My week's been good. I experimented the other day with some muffins and tried a couple new recipes. How's yours been?"

...being locked in his room? How good could it be? His tail swished lightly. He'd never been 'grounded' so, he really couldnt feel Kaspar's pain, but he was sure it wasn't very fun. Incredibly boring.

Kaspar smiled a little at the thought of Anatu snacking all day. Who wouldn't want to? And besides, wasn't that part of baking? You had to know how it tasted ahead of time, to be your own guinea pig...

With Anatu sitting, he felt a bit more at ease. He sat a little heavily on his bed, the tips of his wings flopping and bent carelessly. "It's been... boring. Incredibly boring," he said, rubbing his eyes. They were quite literally tired out from doing nothing but reading. What else was there to do?

He sat up straighter and leaned forward, toward Anatu with his elbows on his knees. "How did the muffins turn out?"

Anatu glanced at Kas as he seemingly flopped onto the bed, ears perking then settling back again, frowning lightly at the expected reply. "I'm sorry to hear that... Are... they making you serve out the full... two weeks?" They, as in Kaspar's 'parents'. He was curious if Chance had even made it home since the other night; Nope... Nope he was pretty sure he hadn't.

Tail waving lightly, he looked back at Kas, noticing once again (as it was brought to his attention unintentionally) that the other was in just shorts. The other was so nicely toned; he couldn't help but watch as he moved, the muscles moving as he did. His gaze went to the others wings. They were so soft, and the looked soft too--

Brought from his gazing he glanced back at Kas, hoping he hadn't been noticed. "Oh, um... the muffins." He cleared his throat and shifted a bit in his chair, a small blush tinting his cheeks, embarrassed a bit with his own wandering mind; not horrible though.

"I.... think they turned out okay. C---" Oh, wait, "Dante tried one this morning with breakfast. He seemed to approve." Grimacing lightly, he hoped he'd covered quickly enough. Ugh, don't mention Chance; note to self... He was having problems in general today.

New topic! "So, what have you been doing to stay occupied? You're aloud to the rest of the house aren't you...?"

"As far as I know, I get to serve the whole time." It was like a sentence in prison. Was he the only one that got that impression? The angel leaned back, or rather straightened up, with a sigh. He ran his fingers through his hair, thinking of the one responsible for his imprisonment, and came across a snag. Tangled...? Oh that's right, I never finished after my shower...

He frowned slightly but left his hair alone, attempting to be polite and attentive to his guest. He smiled at the tiger, having missed the other's unrelated embarrassment. "I'm glad the recipe turned out well, Anatu."

"Nothing much," he replied a moment later. "I can leave my room of course, though I don't much anyway. There's not much to do... I don't watch TV, sometimes I'll play video games with Agios..." His eyes darkened a bit. The rabbit didn't always just want to play... And outside, there was Emory. He knows about this... Glancing out the window, he frowned, blushing faintly as he wondered if "this" was really anything... Nothing's going on... right?

His fingers went for his hair again and again ran into a snag. He sighed faintly and rose to his feet and crossed over to the desk where Anatu was seated. Without thinking, he leaned over to pick up his brush.

Anatu couldn't help but frown lightly at the information, "Maybe they'll let you off early for good behavior?" He smiled, trying to make light of the predicament.

He glanced down a moment before looking back up, "Me too. It was somethign really new. Trying replacment for certain ingredients. I'm still working on it though, to see if I can make it better." He beamed happily.

Quietly he listened to Kas, explaining what there was to do while one was grounded. He himself wasn't much for TV or video games. He'd pick books over either normally, but he did sometimes watch some of the movies that they had back at the estate.

Ears flicking lightly, he blinked when the other looked at the window and looked too, a bit confused; was someone out there? The tiger was brought to attention again when he heard the angel rise and looked forward, to see himself facing the others chest. He blinked confused for a second, then realized he was being leaned over, which made him mentally flail as a blush creeped over his cheeks.

Shrinking down a bit in an attempt to not be so close, his tail flicked behind him. Glancing up at Kas before looking away from the bare skin, he cleared his throat, squirming a bit in his seat. "Um...What... are you doing?" He had to keep his voice from wavering, but his words came out a bit quiet, as he tried to ignore the others body heat while pushing down several of his feline instincts...

"Getting my brush..." The angel blinked as he pulled away, holding up the brush. He was eying the tray of cookies still sitting on the desk but turned away and sat back down on the bed. "When you came to the window I'd just gotten out of the shower... I wasn't done brushing my hair."

Kaspar quirked a twisted grin as he started on the damp locks of blond hair. His mood began to lift even though the strands were already getting cold, but he couldn't help but dwell on Anatu's suggestion. The possibility was dubious at best, as far as he could tell. Right. They're going to let me out early... He hadn't even heard anything from Chance about it. The unicorn was just going to make him sweat it out...

"Well it sounds like an interesting project. Why are you substituting ingredients? Just out of curiosity, or for food allergies?" He looked up and watched Anatu for a moment. There was something wrong... it was subtle by now, since he had not been paying attention to Anatu specifically. He thought he detected a faint flush to the tiger's features. "Are you all right?"
PostPosted: Mon Sep 15, 2008 11:05 pm

Anatu blinked and looked at Kaspar's hair brush then the angel. He'd sunken considerably in his seat and moved (squirmed) to correct himself. The tiger cleared his throat lightly, "I see. That makes sense." Still, the blush remained, though he wasn't fidgeting.

"Oh, well, a little of both. That, and for preferences. There are some things that people prefer not to have in their food. I was never aware of how many options there were." For substitutions and loop holes, that was.

He glanced towards the window... Ugh, his cheeks were still warm. His ears flicked and he looked back at the angel at the question, blinking. "Am I...?" His hands went to his cheeks; it was that obvious!? He flushed a bit more, glancing away again, "Mhmm, yeah... I'm okay." So he thought. This was so embarrassing...

"Oh, I see... That's probably a good practice, come to think of it," the angel replied, finishing up his hair. When he was finished, he stretched out across the bed to set the brush on his nightstand. Sitting upright again, he blinked curiously at the tiger, mildly disturbed by Anatu's behavior. He seemed ill, feverish... perhaps he was coming down with something. Never did it occur to him that perhaps the fact that he was wearing only shorts might affect the tiger, as he always ran around without a shirt at home. It was just too balmy with all those feathers and all that hair... "Are you sure? If you're not feeling well, I don't want to keep you here..."
PostPosted: Sat Sep 27, 2008 12:53 pm

Anatu gave a nod then looked down at his hands as he folded them lightly in his lap, wiggling his fingers to distract himself (he was fidgeting again). Tail flicking behind him, it curled a bit before he finally looked back up at Kas only to see the other, once again, practically displayed before him. Quickly he drew his attention (blushing was , once again, inevitable) to where the angel was reaching, trying to keep his brain still moving instead of sticking like it was. It makes sense Kas wanted to brush his hair... he was just brushing his hair. Now he's putting his brush aside, so stop being stupid... He was practically repeating 'hair brush' in his mind just to stay distracted.

The tiger personally wouldn't know about feathers or long hair, but he could sort of relate with his fur, though he tended to meander with shorts and a big t-shirt.

Anatu was brought to attention again as Kas spoke to him once again. He gave a small smile and waved it off a bit, "Oh, no, it's okay; Im okay..." Considering if he thought he was coming down with anything he probably wouldn't have come just in case he got Kaspar sick. He looked away again, squirming lightly in his seat. Need a distraction... New conversation?

"So, when... does school start for you again?" He was pretty sure the angel was still in school...

(( Displayed, under glass, with the rest of the fruit pies at the counter... Srsly trying not to laugh a** off here, but it seems to have already gotten up and walked away... >>;;; ))

Maybe it was too warm in here for the tiger. The window was only letting in the afternoon heat... Kaspar frowned lightly, worriedly, but let the matter drop. Anatu obviously did not want to talk about it.

"Oh... beginning of September. I guess I'm lucky; I actually get Labor Day Weekend before school starts," he grinned and rolled his eyes. "What about you? Are you still in school?" Just how old was Anatu, he wondered? He blinked and flushed, ever so slightly, at the possibility that he was older than he looked. Now he felt pink in the face. Another thought occurred to him and he began to wonder, glancing back at the tiger. Oh...kay... It was certainly starting to feel awkward in here.

(( I believe when this started there was still a bunch of summer left, so we can say it's still earlier in the summer. xD ))

(( XDD LOL. For real ))

Anatu fidgeted a bit, but perked, happy for a real distraction. "You still have a bit of time then ~" He gave a small nod.

Tail flicking he purred lightly, then blinked when he was asked if he was in school. Well, that was understandable. He probably should still be in school... He squirmed a little in his seat and looked down, "Well, no. I'm not... anymore." He'd actually graduated early and had taken a whack at college. "I... sort of did school on and off." He wasn't about to bore Kas with the whole story.

"I'm 19 in September, so I suppose, technically, I would be in college."

"I do..." the angel nodded, although in his grounding he had come to understand that now could feel like an eternity.

He tilted his head a little, listening. A distraction from his previous thoughts was welcome and he struggled to connect the dots with what little Anatu gave him. On and off? Did he drop out? Take a break to work in the bakery?

At least he was only nineteen.

"I know that your bakery takes up most of your time, so school would be more difficult... maybe not worth it for what it could provide you right now." That was something, coming from someone who had always assumed that he would go straight into college. "Maybe in the future you could go back and get a degree, but it always seemed to me that you had a very good thing going," he said with a smile.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 28, 2008 9:51 pm

Anatu smiled, relaxing a bit, he's cheeks going back to their normal state slowly. Shifting a little, he looked down giving a small nod. "Yeah, the bakery is really nice." He preferred it much more than school.

The tiger's mother had always insisted he graduate from college which had been a reason he had moved out. Schooling had been a big deal. He shifted a bit again. "Well, maybe." He gave a small smile; it hadn't worked the first time. so he really didn't think he'd ever go back. He was happy with what was in his life right now. "I'm content with where I am right now, so, it's all good." He gave a small smile.

Kaspar grinned. He was also beginning to relax. "Then I wouldn't worry about it... if you're happy where you're at, why change it?" The angel kicked his feet a little.
