OOC: ^__^; s'all good. After this I'm gonna get started on my english project (since my partner has so kindly decided he's not gonna help me on it). So lets get crackin.
BIC: It was witty, though of course she didn't expect him to get the intellect behind it. Mirroring the same phrases while using different words was HARD to do in a split second! Not including having it be mean and make sense. Least she hadn't yet resorted to actual childish name calling. Though oh how she would have loved to call him an idiot...a buffoon...a wuss. A freak. And here people thought she was different with her shamrock tail and multi-colored hair. Cressida stormed away, but with each step, she grew a little softer...a little sadder. No one ever quite got just how lonely...being a freak was. She walked out of the basement and down a hallway towards her fathers room, never letting anyone see the very first tear that slipped down her emerald cheek.
(( gonk Cressy's turned emo! Nuuu!))
"You'll do fine." She teased gently as he situated her arms around his neck. Once there however, she crossed them behind the male to subtly bring her closer. She assured herself that it was just to have it look good, just to have it look good and thats all. Not like she was attracted to him in any way shape or form. Of course not! The female fell into the slow dance that flicked on, moving forwards to rest her head against his shoulder with a sigh. "If nothing else...you're comfy."
She gently placed her arm ontop of Apollos to be led out onto the dancefloor, beautifully smiling underneath her mask. Once there, she slipped her arms around his neck, and leaned up to kiss one of his glowing cheeks. Though in a bit, she had every bit of intention to take him away from the festivities for a party of their own heart
((I'll respond to cinthy after texas and haru post. Just incase there's like, a protest or something. Now, for the hardest post >>cracks knuckles, posts, and quotes Sei's post<<))

OOC: of course, by now I've completely forgotten what Zana's second part was supposed to be XDD lets see how good at quick thinking I am...
BIC: She laughed richly, full and warm as the old Erylia slipped back into her skin. It was about time. "No...no dress...no girly dance...no boytoy-well, yet." A tease of course, nothing more. But then again. She could have that effect on guys, her demeanor not slutty so much as seductive...when she wanted to be. It always depended on what she wanted. "Soon the lights will dim, and it'll be time to make our exit." She stepped back, and reached into the top of her dress.

((*snicker* Well, the feeling's mutual for Cress. I mean...wow. rofl To keep fully in-character as I said, I should have let Kane turn tiger and eat her...Melek seemed fond of the idea too. Though that would sorta have killed the party as well, which would be bad since technically the main event hasn't occurred yet... XD But yeah, essentially attacking Takeko (in Kane's mind, as the child's scent is mixed with hers) SHOULD have been signing her own death warrant. *LOL*
Probably best that those two never meet again, eh? wink ))
Kane leaned against the wall nonchalantly, eyes closed and wings folded over his shoulders as he waited for Takeko to return. The angel wasn't long and soon tapped her son on the shoulder with her free hand.
"Hope this is enough...I filled an entire bowl," she laughed, holding out the bowl of shrimp to the demon who accepted it quite eagerly. "Thank you again, Kane," she smiled, folding her hands in front of her.
Kane only waved a hand dismissively, seeming his aloof self, but honestly more interested in the shrimp at the moment...
Melek watched the exchange with a bit of disappointment. So, no eating the mean lady...and the demon still got the shrimp. Time for Plan B. Wriggling in Aspen's arms, he poked lightly at the male demon's chest. "Daddy! I'm still hungry!" Afterall, he hadn't gotten anything earlier for his foray to the buffet table except a little excitement.
---
"No, no, it's fine," Serefina muttered, still a bit embarrassed as she finished checking her dress. Leave it to the clumsy fish out of water...
She blinked at bit at Rain at the change of subject. "Err...I'm not actually sure," she admitted, shrugging helplessly. "I can't say I've ever flown before. What's that like?" She couldn't help but wonder. Sure, she should be satisfied with being a water-dweller who could travel on land...but sometimes she couldn't help being curious about the last remaining frontier that danced just out of her reach.

((Also Jazz and Zoe are still floating around if anyone wants to chat with them. biggrin ))
Apollo glowed as he was kissed. He kissed her back before begining to dance. "Let's show them our moves." He then began to dance like well... an idiot. He wanted to be funny and well, he might not have been.
"Well, I think it's like being underwater. Only we have to flap our wings while you use your fins. The water is like the air. There are currents that help you to not have to use your wings so much like fins in water." Rain explained as well as he could.

The nerve! Tristen waltzed in and snatched his friend away just as he was getting to see him again. The demonic's eyes flared, but he wasn't angry with Hyacinthus. Rather, he was frustrated and annoyed that Tristen thought he could step in and insist on a solitary dance with Hyacinthus without any backlash. If he didn't have a good image to uphold, Texas swore he would jump the love fae right then and there and show him what was coming to him.
...No, no, no drama. Texas took in a deep breath and let it out to center himself. Tristen may have annoyed him and given him the heebie-jeebies, but it was best just to watch instead of jumping him based on an assumption and for no truly good reason. After all, Tristen wasn't threatening Hyacinthus... yet. Perhaps he should just keep a watchful eye on them.
Criofan watched her reach into her dress with a quirked brow. ...His mind probably was not running in the same vein as Erylia's, though. The teenager quickly shook his head out of his thoughts and moved his eyes back up to her face. "You know, I don't blindly follow people around. I'd kind of like to know what your plan is besides turning the lights out, get what I'm sayin'?" His grin was rather fitting for a devious leprechaun, from ear to ear and with a hint of mischief.

rimedragona Debi looked Alicia up and down, a frankly assessing look, then sighed and grabbed the outstretched hand in her own little one.
"I'm Debi!" she announced, and after a squeeze, let go. Aoaka had drilled some manners into her, after all, even if she was still a bit too heavy-handed for his peace of mind.
"I'm still gonna tell on you, Papa!" she said, and shook her little finger at him. Aoaka had just returned with three cups of punch, and handed one each to the two girls.
"I'm sure she'd understand, Debi. After all, it's not as if Alicia and I were slow dancing. It was a waltz," he said, sounding a little like he was trying to convince himself.Debi just chuckled impishly, "Pol's not gonna kiss you, I bet!" she teased, and then got real quiet at Aoaka's suddenly stern frown, fidgeting with the trim on her dress."Hush, Debi! This behavior is unbecoming of a young lady! Behave or we will leave early," he said. He glanced at Alicia and looked suddenly embarrassed.
"Ah.. Pol and I were... well... starting to be a couple..." he started to explain, hoping Alicia didn't think he was being a cad. "I haven't seen her around for some time. I was hoping she'd come to the dance, but... Alicia took the drink and listened to the Father and Daughter. This was what she had come to see, real paes acting like a family.
Alicia nodded and smiled, "If you want I don't have to dance with your Dad again. It was just fun for me to learn how, you know?" She liked dancing and was willing to do it again, but really didn't want to upset Debi.Haru stared in shock, the nerve! Haru was willing to share for once and look what happened, Hyacinthus was taken away by some fae. "I thought we were doing a group dance." This Haru had and idea and turned to Pete, "You want to dance with me while we wait?" Plus they could dance close to the other couple and keep and eye on them.Aspen held the wriggling boy. "Sure, we can get food. I'll let you down, but only if you hold my hand, promise?" He didn't want what heppened earlier to happen yet again.

Amara's slender eyebrows shot up as tristen smoothly led the other pink pae away, shocked. The nerve! And yet...how intriguing. Perhaps...she could get back at her brother afterall. "Now you two are going to leave me? And they say chivalry is dead..." Not that she would actually take them up on a dance offer, but they didn't know that. He led his friend away to the dancefloor, completely ignoring the radianting ill-will coming from the two males. He probably should have slipped in some of his positive influence into his words again, but he supposed it was a bit too late now. With a graceful turn, he swung the male into his arms, assuming the position of the male for the slow dance. "Well Hyacinthus...I wanted to be alone for two reasons. One...you never did find me again at the halloween party..." He flashed a small smile, charming, sweet, but as always with cinthy, uninfluenced by his power. "Close your eyes."
She giggled softly at his return kiss. "That may be a little hard to do with so many pe...ple..." She took a step back at his...questionable dance. Just one moment though...one moment. The female full heartedly laughed then and took both of his hands to swing them and their bodies to the slow song, completely out of tempo.
"Patience is a virtue, dear Criofan." She held up a little brown pouch, letting it swing slightly on its drawstrings. "As a birthday present, my eldest brother Raken gave me a few...presents. A dress, makeup, rope, chains...These are my smoke pellets." Why did she specifically request him to make them? Why not? "Zana was going to use these to heighten the confusion when the lights dimmed. Freaking the partiers...while making our grand exit."

(*snicker* Tristen said the magic words. The best thing is that Tristen doesn't even need to use his power on Cinthy^^)
There was one thing about Hyacinthus that he never liked to admit, but people who spent enough time around him would pick up a flaw in him that was so bad, one could almost call it a mortal sin. Often, it hid behind his genuine compassion and his willingness to please others. But, it could never go away: Hyacinthus was materialistic. If one pointed it out, the notion would become clear. He showed his affections with things instead of gestures. He liked actions, but he also liked tangible statements of mutual friendship and love. Receiving something was a big of a deal to him as giving something. And unfortunately, he still passed a degree of judgment based on what someone gave him. He didn't just judge them on how much they cared about him; a present told him something about their taste, their personality, and how far out of their way they were willing to go for him. A bad present didn't just say, "I wasn't thinking about you." It said, "I don't think enough about you to be a good friend."
So when Tristen reminded him of the present he had never collected at the Halloween party, he was elated. It meant a great deal to him, perhaps more than the giver intended. A tangible representation of Tristen's love and tenderness toward Hyacinthus. Had his heart skipped a beat? As he desperately sought to contain his excitement, he outstretched his trembling hands giddily. As badly as he wanted to peek, he tightly shut his eyes. When the present touched his hands, he could behold what it was. In the young pae's mind Tristen could do no wrong. They loved each other equally, Tristen always paternal and kindly. He would give Hyacinthus something marvelous, something so wonderful and beautiful, a perfect statement of what they shared.
Anxious, he held his palms open and invited the mysterious present to land in them.

Apollo began to slow down a bit. He knew he looked like a big goof. "That was fun." he winked at Dayht from behind his mask. He smiled to her as they danced together.

Debi considered, her mouth pursing up as she again looked Alicia up and down. She didn't seem too bad... and she might prove to be interesting! Not as interesting as Calder had been, maybe, but she'd already abandoned that path.
"We can all dance together!" she suggested, beaming.
Aoaka smiled, glad that Debi wasn't going to push things and get upset, and asked, "How do you suppose that will work?" He took a drink from his cup and tilted his head.
"Well... uhm... Hmmmm..." the young pae looked down into her punch cup and frowned in thought. "Oh! We could dance in a circle! Or... we could take turns dancing with you, papa!" she smiled, her eyes dancing. She liked coming up with ideas, almost as much as she liked getting her own way.
"Those are both fine ideas, Debi. What do you think, Alicia?" he asked. He wouldn't get much of a break with the second option, but he could always take a break during the more romantic songs, since that would just feel odd with either of them.

"Dancing in a circle sounds pretty fun to me." She was new to dancing and really was willing to learn any kind of dancing they threw at her. "Just show me how." She had a big grin on her face. She wan't to make Debi and Aoaka happy.

Debi grinned and grabbed her papa's hand with one of hers, and Alicia's in the other.
"You just dance in a circle!" she said, and pulled them out to an empty part of the floor.
"You two gotta hold hands, too. Hold hands!" she demanded, and once they had complied, she started moving to the music, bouncing and pulling them in the direction she wanted the circle to spin. She was a very pushy child.
Aoaka complied, though he hesitated to take Alicia's hand. Once he did, he was fine, and he was spending more time concentrating on how Debi was directing them than on anything else. He was smiling, though. Debi was a wonder to him, and he couldn't keep a slightly amazed look off his face sometimes.

((Sorry for the late reply, rl=crazy ))
Alicia smiled and took Aoaka and Debi's hand and started to spin the way Debi pulled. Alicia laughed as she felt it go pretty fast. She had never let herself really relax or have fun before and it was nice.

((no problem))
Debi was having a great time making the two older Pae go in the direction she wanted, though a couple times she changed direction so fast she almost got stepped on.
Aoaka was almost, but not quite, grinning. He didn't have the personality for it, but it was obvious he was having a good time.
He looked over at Alicia as she laughed. It looked like she was enjoying herself. He was glad for that.
"She knows how to dance well, hm?" he asked Alicia, talking about Debi.
The little demon Pae grinned impishly as she pulled on their hands and twirled her skirt. She giggled, "Of course I do, daddy! I'm a girl! It's only guys that can't dance!"
"Is that so?" he responded, a teasing note entering his voice. "Well, then what am I doing out here?" he asked.
