She didn't expect him to shove down her foot, though she continued with her flip since it was more of an offhanded action. But not completely without merit. Balance was lost, sending her body to the side instead of back as her hands hit the ground. She rolled, dodging his fist. No matter how the time was different in the shadow realm was, she had been training in hand to hand for the past 10 years. She wasn't going to go down easily. Tartara rolled back onto her feet, dusting off her back with her hands. "Exactly, thats what I'm doing. I'm not using a weapon or my-" Her teeth clicked shut. "Once you can beat me in hand to hand, I'll have nothing else to teach you."

"Hand to hand, I guess that means no tail or wings either?" He broughtr his leg across the dirt and and slid across it around him, creating a dust cloud around him. He used the dust as a cover and lunged at her with his fist pulled back behind him and aiming for her chest
"Then where is the female shadow..." He rose alittle and looked at the female closer "Her shadow, is empty, she is the shadow of this solid..."

She smirked. "Well, I don't have a tail or wings, do I?" She watched him carefully, curious as he dropped down-GODDESS! Tartara dropped down, dropped low to the ground as she could. Better to see the males feet, and most of the time when someone did this, they attacked from waist up. Correct. Shadow's fist wizzed through air, giving her time to lunge forwards herself at his legs, having full intention of knocking him down with her as she went from defensive and reactive, to offensive

She dodged it, she really has trained alot He couldn't turn in the air and ended up falling on his back onto the ground with her on top.
He watched the fight again and slipped out of the shadowsx of the trees. He slipped into another set a shadows and formed into his solid form "I have learned and copied all I need" His voice sounded more like Shadow's now.

She blinked, the dirt around them settling down to reveal the them. She hadn't honestly thought she would hit. Shadow was doing such a good job at batting off her attacks. Slowly she moved more up the pae, one leg bent on the ground beside him. Tartara looked down him, her emerald eyes already lighting up with a touch more blue. "You alright there?" The sound of combat stopped. Zana opened her eyes slowly, sitting up. eek Her face turned a bright crimson, staring at the position they were in. Her head snapped to the side, trying not to look anymore. Of course, they focused on...shadow? She blinked and started to rub her eyes, certain she was seeing things now

"Yeah, just promised I wouldn't use my wings or tail, hehe" He closed his eyes and grew silent for a bit. Something was in the air and it reaked of Moon. For some reason it still didn't feel like Moon was here, could have been that new shadow they faced. He opened his eyes again and looked at Tartara "We'll have to hurry this up"
"I've been spotted" He moved into the shadows again and blended in, disappearing from the naked eye Where is that other shadow my mistress told me to obey

"Hurry?" She lightly frowned, slipping off of the male to sit down beside him. "Training is from sunup to sundown. Since you can't beat me in hand to hand, I'm going to teach you how to work a staff. After lunch of course." She lowered her hands, blinking at where she had seen the other shadow. Just as she thought! Nothing there.
Deep in the shadow world Anaz hummed to herself as she worked on the steel cage. Not shadow, not wood, steel. Five guesses as to who it was for, and the first three don't count

'Good idea, training in the real world really makes me hungry sweatdrop " He got up and flapped his wings to brush off the dirt on his back. He moved his hair out of the way and walked over to Zana "Something wrong, you look a bit startled?"
Red eyes formed behind Anaz and soon Shade's form. He looked at her then the steel cage "I have copied all of Shadows personality" His eyes turned back to Anaz and then up "She got a glance, but it I believe she thought it was her imagination"

She chuckled, standing herself to brush at her blue skirt. "Nothing big of course, just some sandwhiches, fruit, something to drink." the female walked towards them, glossy hair swaying. Her head snapped up at Shadows words, now plainly looking startled. "I...I just thought..." She looked back at where she had 'seen' it. Nothing there now of course. Of course. "Its nothing..."
She cooly looked over her shoulder at him, an eyebrow raising. "Oh really? Start practicing it immediatly. This has to be flawless....." Her pink eyes narrowed. "Which 'she'?"

"Right now I'm just happy toe ven ahve something to eat" He smiled and waved his tail around "Well okay, don't be too afraid" He smiled again and walked off to the food "It looks great"
"As you wish" He looked at her with his red eyes, still lifeless and emotionless "Nothing too big, just that girl afraid of her own shadow" He laughed and moved his eyes from an emotionless state to a happy look, trying out his new personality already.

"I'm not afraid." She spoke flatly, her voice still soft. Even a meek cat would bite if one kept poking it in the same place. There was a difference between shyness and fear. From confusion and fright. Zana stood to walk to the basket, kneeling down again and taking out the blanket. Tartara sighed. "Behave you two." The female walked to the other side of zana and helped spread out the blanket.
"Zana then?" She laughed softly, shaking her head. "Good. Tartara is who worries me the most." Anaz knew Zana, Moon knew Shadow. But who knew tartara? She had never witnessed this side to the mother. "We strike tonight. As they part for bed.

"I am, I didn't mean to annoy her" He sat down and looked at the food. His tail wrapped around a sandwhich and moved it up to his mouth to take a bite "It's really good too" He moved tail down and placed the sandwhich down on a plate
"Tonight when the shadows can hide in the moon's shadow" He looked back and sat down, waiting for his mistress to return

"just stopping any retort you might've had." She smiled and started to pull out the sandwhiches and tuberware container of cut fruit. Tartara then poured herself a glass of water into a plastic cup from one of two cold thermostats. One water, the other apple juice. Everyone liked apple juice right? She sipped at her water. "Thank you Shadow...I guess having so many pae does have its advantages. Though I don't think I can pu 'exellent sandwhich maker' on a resume." "Sorry." Zana murmered with a blush, picking up a sandwhich and nibbling at it. "thanks." It was good it just...she had a bad feeling. Not that she was afraid just...she dreaded the next five minutes ahead and beyond.

"Well you can defiantely put good fighter down" He took a sip of his apple juice and nodded "Yep, sweet and sugary" He smiled and took another bite of his sandwhich "I guess I was use to using my powers to fight I forgot all about what I could do" He sighed and waved his tail around still feeling like something was off

The woman lightly laughed, simply sipping at her water as the other two ate. She didn't need to eat really. "Flattery shall get you no where Shadow. But if its any consulation, you aren't half bad yourself..." Her gaze flitted to Zana, a small frown creasing her forehead. "You alright hun?" She jumped as if struck, pale rose eyes going to her mother. "Wha? Oh...oh yeah...yeah..." She offered a tiny smile before looking down at her sandwitch, her voice dropping. "Just...ever get the feeling...for no reason at all...that...um...somethings...not all right?"
