Val was dissapointed, more so to the fact that the two did not wait to do as told and ran off trying to get them by themselves. He had seen the injured Isilya and knew, if anything happened to her, it would be his head. He was an assasin, not a baby sitter. With a low grunt, he walked over to the beast, taking hold of the girl, taking her back to his watch and lay her on the ground. He may not have known much about magic, but he did study a few home made antidotes that would help her recover within time.
"I won't bother telling you how foolish you were, because I'm sure you already know." He started to take a few things out of his leather bag, placing them out in front of her. "Ak, go on the look out, I need a few minutes to make this remedy for her, then she must rest. I don't have any doubt that the others will come shortly. It is time to bear arms and fight."

Ryn dropped onto the path on which he had been with the knights, before shadow stepping to exactly where they had last been. They were still there, and he spoke quietly, a small amount of blood trailing down his left arm from his shoulder,"The Saxons are near. They have a Sorceress, as well as what looks to be a Minotaur. I engaged them in battle, and the Sorceress should be temporarily indisposed, but I don't know if we will be able to get by their forces..."
He glanced up at Lain, and said,"I was merely spying on them... I did not wish for a fight, but now we have no choice. I suggest we leave the horses here, and I can lead us back to them. They may not be able to fight as well if we don't walk directly into their ambush."
((Oh yah... I never explained what Shadow Stepping was... Its like Teleporting, but it can only be done over fairly short distances.))

"Ryn!" Reina was worried about him, for he had come back out of the way, exstatic, but in no means a good way. She trailed behind him, to make sure whatever it was he was running from would face her wrath. She took out her bow and arrow, pointing it in that direction, letting the others know that this would probably be a battle they would most likely not want to engage in.
"Tell me, are the Saxons ahead? I've been dying to get my hands on one, and if they are, then, well, they've made a mistake by crossing us!" She was ready for battle, Reina loved it, and the fact that she would get to show off in front of Lain and her friends was more of a reason, though, she did partially doubt her abilities.
"It's about time that things started to heat up around here!"

Lain listened to the ranting youth and grasped everything they he was saying. "No, we can't engage right now, your injured and goddess only knows how many they have on their side." he pointed to the eastern coast, which could not be seen through the thick forest. "We need to go around them, but give them a reason to think we are still here."
He removed his blade from it's sheath and dismounted from Artemis. "Here, Ryn, you take him and give me your horse, Artemis is faster, and knows these woods better than any of us combined." He said, kissing his steed on the nose and ushering him to his temporary master. "With Artemis leading the way, he can take you to hiding until this all dies down."
He took the reigns of Ryns horse, and mounted it softly. "I'm going to stay here for now, until all of you are out of my sight, and I will meet up with you before the day is done. I need to get them off of our trail, if we can't shake them, all is lost.
"We need to separate into two groups, one with a faux trail, understand? If you want to come with me you can, but there is no use putting the entire group in danger, when we are the queens last hope." He gave the group a weary glance. If they went head first into battle, without knowing the enemies full force, they would surely be defeated. But Lain would not allow that to happen, not now, not when they had the opportunity to fool the Saxons.
"Like Ryn said, he crippled one of theirs, and if she was an Enchantress then she was important, and they will have to allow her time to heal, so that gives some of us time to get away, to fight another day." he hoped they would not disagree. He had his reasons for not wanting any of them to stay, his prophecy was coming full circle, and he wanted them to have no part in it.

"There is no need to ask whose group I am going to be in," Reina said matter of factly, she had always followed Lain, and she would continue until the time called for her to leave his side. Reina knew that her subtle feelings for him would be a handicap to her, but also, it was a trump card, because if anything were to happen to him, she would surely avenge any scratch or bruise on him tenfold. "I know battle well, I will stay at your side Lain, at least till this subsides, then I will continue on my way." Hades stayed quiet, he knew that the Saxons were not far from them, and he had faith that they could continue on.
"I wonder, perhaps the men they sent on us before, was a distraction, sort of, to find out if we were near. What worries me the most is, I think they are toying with us, the longer we take, the more they can do to our Queen." Reina looked down, her eyes firmly on the ground. "The Queen...she must be going through so much, to protect the child within her."

Valraven stayed quiet while he started to get the remedy prepared, mixing the rare herbs with the water that was in his cantine. The herbs were finely ground, and only a small amount was needed. He lift the girl's head up, pouring some of the solution into her mouth, making sure she swallowed every last drop. Once that was done, he slid a small leaf into her mouth, under her tongue and lay her back down. She would have to lay there for about an hour or two, when she would regain her strength, a tingling sensation would take over her entire body, the nerves will re awaken, and she will have to move around a little more.
He took a deep sigh, there were only three of them, he could not leave her alone, nor go there by himself, so he'd have to wait till she regained her strength. Valraven sat there, very quietly, tossing pieces of bark into the fire, feeling the heat on his back, it only made him more angry at the fact, he would be delayed longer than expected.

((Edit: didn't make sense to me))
Akrin reluctantly let Isilya go. He then turned and bowed his head, ushering a word to his ancestors. He then walked through the forest, following the path that the hasty enemy did make...
Akin stood guard, not wanting to leave his childhood friend be. His sensitive ears and nose were sensing for any movement, and he knew the exact sent of that knife using enemy to let him slip through... No... That human better pay penance to what he has done to his friend, after his mission is complete...

"I hate you! Why didn't you just let me die here? It's not as if you even care. Your stupid selfish desire of self preservation is the only reason you even tolerate me you brute."
Isilya was asleep, and dreaming about the moment that would come when she finally awoke from her medically induced coma. She was furious, at herself, and at Val. if he had only listened to her, and didn't play around the fire and sit dejected all day MAYBE this wouldn't of happened.
They were standing in the clearing, facing one another, and Val had the nastiest of looks on his face. His lip was twisted and curled, and his clothes seemed to be tattered and torn in some places, while others were pristine.
"Don't touch me again you foul ogre or I swear, my father will kill you as soon as look at you." Her voice trembled all the while, and without power behind her words, how could she inflict fear. She backed away a couple of feet, until her back met with a large tree trunk and she swallowed hard.
"You're right Isilya, if it wasn't for the fact that I don't want your father to dismember me, I would of killed you a long time ago. But that won't stop me from hurting you now, as your punishment now will it, you disobedient little b***h!"
He ran upon her, his arm, coming from nowhere, attempting to slap her across the face once again, but this time, before his hand connected with skin and bone, another hand appeared, one covered with fur, but so strong you could see the details in it's arms muscles. She gasped as Val's hand was caught in midair, and a voice rang out above all others. Isilya looked up to her left, and saw that it was Akrin. Tears splattered her cheeks as she ran behind him, and the menacing figure that was Val disappeared from view.
((It's mostly a dream, thats why it's in italics.))

"Who did this to her?" Valraven said, after being quiet for so long, with time to think to himself. She looked to be sleeping, very silent, still, almost angelic, but he was sure, her body was struggling to reawaken itself. She'd be able to walk it all off once she regained consciousness, but he was still concerned.
"It was an assasin correct? A Rogue I presume, this sort of poision is something they use." It was a good thing that Valraven studied the different classes of assasins, making up a few remedies. Even without the aide, she would gain motion back, but it would have taken a much longer time than intended. "You met up with one on this way correct? I believe they are still out there then, only to do as they are told, try and get their beloved fat lady back. I wonder, who should tell them, it's a waste of their time."

Ryn nodded to Lain, saying quietly,"Take care of Cale. I'll go another way."
He glanced behind him once, looking at the tattered path he had left, before turning to Thal and saying,"Lets go."
He slid onto Artemis' back, and with a tap they were off, with Artemis leading them off into the forest. Ryn rode silently, his eyes flicking at the passing foliage, searching. With a flick his blade fell into his right hand, and he held it tightly, waiting and watching.

Akrin remained quiet while Val was throwing bark in the fire. Both were silent, but for different reasoning. Akrin was worried about his masters daughter. Only if she focused on her magical defenses before tracking, if there were such things as magical defenses... He kept a vigil, he could smell a great distance from where the winds blew, and could hear some distance away as well.
"Obviously someone who was skilled in sneaking, yes..The minute he was at a disadvantage, he fled. He wore red, mostly leather, pale skin and thin. He had throwing daggers and a ball with a chain on it. The question lies with the fact that they know their position in the path is in danger. there are three options for them, in my mind... sneak around us through the denser forest, or go past quickly at night through the path in an attempt to outrun us.. or do both."
He then looked down to the figure of Isilya. He have a shake of the head then continued his vigil. he felt two things at that point. The first was anger towards not doing his job, not killing that assassin. The second was not carrying her, that would have slowed the poisons progression through her body since her blood wasn't pumping.
Deciding to change the subject he choses to get something he has been thinking about so far. "She thinks you hate her you know, you seem like someone who hates even allies simply because you think they get in the way." He then turned to face Val. "Its not one battle that wins a war, its the unity of the army. IF they find that we bicker even the slightest, they could sow the seeds of contempt amongst us..."

The young enchantress had no idea how long she had been asleep, but her body was tired, and her mind very weak, and still she could remember all of the events that had taken place, even her dreams. She rolled to her right, and caught a glimpse of Akrin, she whimpered and outstretched her arms like a child with the flew.
She wanted to be held, the way her father would hold her when she was feeling even remotely under the weather. She couldn't hear what they were talking about, and at that point did not care. She just wanted to be held. She parted her lips and tried to force herself to say his name, but the only audible part was "kin...." It was a whisper, but she knew he would hear her calls.
This was so embarrassing. She had tried to prove that she was a strong and capable ally, but instead she had done the opposite, and deep down her nightmare had not only aided her feelings in thinking Val hated her, but she was afraid he would harm her as well. I want to go home. she thought as her head rolled to the side and her eyes shut out the world. "Kin.." she whispered once more and then let her bodies desires take over.

Akrin turned to see Isilya, he then walked over to her and knelt beside her. Smiling the best he could he took her hand in his and lifted her up to rest on him, much like how a child would be. He patted her head like the old days and began humming an old Saxon lullaby to her. In his mind he was singing it out loud. In the day, the child runs; In the aft he sings and hums; By the time the moon light shines; The child is tired; He listens to stories of times; and battle long by.
In thy dreams, the child does visit; The times of battles and victories; But when the morn comes, the child forgets; and hums and hollers for his friends;
The heroes all learn from this child of youth; to be happy in war, peace and famine; learn did we that an inocent soul; can teach even the elders; of tribes of old...
