I think it should be legal.
I dont always agree with abortion though..
But I think that most teenagers are getting them because they thought they
were responsible enough for sex... Apparently. . they are not.

I think it should be legal, because if it's illegal people will try to get unsafe illegal abortions anyways, or babies will start ending up in dumpsters. That sh*t happens, and it's a worse alternative. If they don't want to deal with the baby, then they just won't, some way or another.

I believe abortion should be legal. Why? Because it's my body. No one can tell me what I can or cannot do with it. Deep down inside I don't think I could ever get an abortion but if that God-forbidding chance comes, I should be able to cancel the pregnancy in a legal and safe manner.
And what of cases of older women who accidentally get pregnant and they find out the child has Down Syndrome? That child will be a child (mentally) forever. When you die and the child grows up, they're still just a kid. Someone else has to constantly care for them until the day they die. It's not fair to anyone. I'm not saying people with disabilities (or just retards in general) should be killed when and at all times. But we shouldn't force people to take care of them because we couldn't prevent them from being born and we later on passed on due to whatever cause and that child was left with no care taker.

My Ex-Girlfriend actually is pregnant right now, and we're good friends. The thing is, she WILL die if she has this baby. It is a valiant effort..

i think abortion should be illegal for people over 16. i think that by that age, you should know whats gonna happen if you mess around. unless you were raped or somthing like that.

I firmly believe that abortion is wrong no matter the circumstances.
Overpopulation is never going to be a problem, so that is not a valid argument.
It angers me when people think that it is ok to kill an innocent baby over a choice you made, (or someone else)

Eh touchy subject. Yes and no. Under certain circumstances such as rape, incest, or any similar cases, people should be allowed to have an abortion. If the woman gets pregnant outside of these circumstances, then I believe that the abortion should not be allowed. If they decided that they were responsible enough to have sex, then they decided that they were responsible enough to have a baby. Now with circumstances involving both the life of the baby and the mother's lives, I feel that it should be up to the desgresion of the mother and the child's father, so I guess just leave it up to them. Altogether, I don't really support abortion, but if certain things happen, then I feel that it is justified. Every bad thing is justified in one way or another i guess.

grace99 I believe it should be legal. Parents should have a choice, some teens may be able to handle it (like Jahzara Ashford's friend) however the fact is that some teen parents can't really afford a baby. Sometimes teen parents find themselves deserted by their families and the other parent of the baby. Yes, I also agree with abortion not being avalible for younger teens so they have to think harder before they try anything again, but think about the baby who may have to grow up in a shelter because it was given up or taken away from it's mom. Older people should be more responsible, they really shouldn't have to even think about abortion. However, if abortion ever becomes illegal, rape victims should be able to have abortion, it would be cruel to make them have someone else's baby. ummm...I think that's all I have to say about this issue... In my opinion that is lowering yourself to the level of that rapist. There is also the fact that the number of couples who cannot have children has risen quite a bit. There are plenty of people waiting to adopt those children; there are couples who have been waiting to adopt children for years.

taytay22396 i think abortion should be illegal for people over 16. i think that by that age, you should know whats gonna happen if you mess around. unless you were raped or somthing like that. Who said anything about 'messing around'? I'm 25. I'm in a monogamous, committed relationship. I take the pill and my boyfriend and I use condoms too if there's any worry in my mind or his (if I took my pill late or something). Plus I have PCOS and my periods aren't really there unless I have the pill. Therefore it is very unlikely I will get pregnant. But if I did, hell yes I would have an abortion. Why? Because I never want kids. Why should I be forced to have one when I am acting responsibly and it would be a (very unlikely) accident?

joe_is_my_hubby Overpopulation is never going to be a problem, so that is not a valid argument. It angers me when people think that it is ok to kill an innocent baby over a choice you made, (or someone else) 1. Overpopulation is already a problem. 2. Foetus =/= baby.
