Su looked up, a big smile in his face. Asphiel chuckled, it felt good to see Su laugh again. He ignored the sphere of ice and went back to their guest, "I tried telling them but they don't listen. they think we're demon lovers. But they did put light traps around the forrest to capture demons. I have been trying to destroy them because some of my friends might fall on them. Some angels can be rather stupid sometimes."

"What brought about this large scale conflict?" *Li'ad asks Asphiel as the sphere divides itself into four smaller spheres, which start orbiting around eachother.* "I was here a few months ago and everything seemed so much more peaceful."

"There has been tension for a while. It just escalated and a battle started and took much of our territory, including a gravesite we built. Both demons and angels have grown savage." Asphiel tried hiding his wings behind his back. Sometimes he felt ashamed of them, of being an angel. Su on the other hand was still lookinf at the ice and now tried touching it.

"It is a sad day when the beings of light turn savage in the mortal realm." *Li'ad's eyes deepen in the silvery gleam slightly, recalling stories of when the light beings of his world went feral in their attempts to tie their powers to the lay lines of magic in the entire realm and he wondered to himself if these tensions were over a similar reason. Meanwhile the 4 globes of ice shattered into a small storm of circling shards as Li'ad's thoughts wandered further away from controling the spell.*

"Yes...SU!" Su got scared and leaned back and fell on his back. After hitting the ground with a thud and immediately sat up. Asphiel walked to the other side to help but Su stretched his hand to keep him away, "It's...not just us but the demons as well. They have been killing angels and taking their wings as trophies." he said trying to grab his left wing.

"I am sorry, I didnt mean to frighten you." *Li'ad says as the shards collect themselves and funnel into the empty cup.* "Has it become known why the demons have started taking angel's wings? Or is it their custom to do so when they become agressive?" *The thoughts of different forms of darker enchantments and magics that could be used with angel wings now playing through his mind, Li'ad wasn't very comfortable with the though of demons having a large number of those.*

"We thought it was trophies..." "Some hunters also cut the wings to sell to merchants." "And demons probably kept them as tropies of all the angels they have killed, or so we think." Asphiel helped Su up and he sat on a stool.

"If all they intend to do with the wings is take them as trophies then there shouldnt be much to worry about. Although they should still be stopped as quickly as possible. Nothing good ever comes from destroying the ballance of light and dark."

"Tali was stopped the other day from helping an old kitsune because she was a demon. Things have gone out of hand." "Not just that but the General said that we were going to throw an attack soon." Su looked away, remembering what happened last time.

"A battle of this nature, while devestating to those involved, shouldnt end life in an entire realm. Unless one side or the other attempts to bring the entire energy of the realm to bear as a weapon. That is a crime unforgivable in any case, no matter the reasons."

Kaen walked in the back door. As this had been the first good day in a while, she had taken advantage of the situation to go sit on the roof. She paused weeing the three angels and one person she half recognized. "Good afternoon," she said with a slight bow to the four of them as she went to the kitchen for some water.

Asphiel didn't look at her thinking of what Tali told him some days ago. Su was the one to keep talking, "Talking for peace is going to be difficult, but there are some of us who have been trying for peace. If the generals find out that we are helping demons on a daily basis they will punish us." Asphiel hearing his thoughts coming out of Su's lips he gulped down his beer.
