Psychofish Removed limbs = not flailing at me. As much. Lemme see if I can break this down before I go to sleep... Your back is facing Rivven. He sidesteps partway around. He pulls a basic sideways kick, snapping the leg at the knee, pivoting. This lands the leg in your side; only he's part way to your side, and aiming for a flat hit. This means he's hitting what was originally away from him; the front side of the torso, not flaming part. He then follows through with the the force to slam stomach into the ground with knee. 0.o Crap, I thought I mentioned he was keeping the flaming part away from him. Cause previously he nearly landed on his back and kicked back up to stand on his hands while still having his front facing Rivven. >.< I mean yeah, the flaming back would be a nice thig to point at Rivven, but its also a big crack in his back... I can go ahead and post if ya like because I apparently forgot to mention that, but that fact might just change what you'd want to do. >.>

I thought your post specifically said he was using the flame coming out of his back to discourage direct contact by flaunting it at Rivven?
And do whatever... but PM me if I need to change my post.

Well, here I am. Awake, free of work for the moment at least, and realizing what needs to be done.
Hi everyone, I'm the writer behind Viper, Mal, Cole, etc. etc. etc. You can call me Jans. My apologies for my tardiness and general surliness over the past few weeks, life has been busy.
====================V vs. V=====================
Alright... final words final words. My final words involve a great deal of actual thinking done now that I have a clear head.
I'd like to start with the statement that I don't think the impromptu rule change from 10 feet down being out of bounds to "whoever hits the ground first" is on the level. In fact, I respectfully object.
That aside, I've put some thought into both situations.
-If we do the big fall to touch-down Falling due to gravity is all well and good, but nearly everything that has been said here has missed a few very large and critical points.
1. Jello got me thinking on this one when he said in passing "People are top heavy." He's right, they are. Thing is, Viper isn't people. My whole fight and character spanning theme has been that Viper is made of the same composite body make-up through and through. He is in fact not top heavy. Same as Vahn got to clarify how he's falling, Viper is going back down with his hands covering his gut and mouth. This reduces his surface area wind resistance only by the measure of his hands and arms.
2. A blade would not increase Vahn's wind resistance noticably, if at all. A sword is a weapon of edges, the Coup de Grace is a diamond if seen from above straight down the length. Wind resistance is a concept of flow, introducing an edge does to that flow what it does everything else, divides it. To increase your wind resistance you would need to add an aspect of resistance to your mass (i.e. additional surface area), not a divider that would cut through. This is the concept behind missles, arrows, and all other projectiles versus things like planes and skydivers. (An aside, skydivers control direction by tilting their body's to decrease the surface area being aplied to wind resistance, creating an angle that you then "slide" down across the air.) 3. Speaking of skydiving, here's the first big nasty thing that we've been missing. If we're falling as far as we're falling to reach the ground (Somewhere between one and two thousand feet far as I can see) and Vahn is as human as he has been toting for the past several posts... he suffocates to death, or passes out long before either of us hit the ground. Cause I'll remind all of you, the oxygen tanks for skydivers are for use on descent past a point as you're falling, not for how high you start. Incidentally this will happen long before either of us reaches terminal velocity. This is because our lungs can't pull in air when its moving by that fast. Don't believe me? Go ask a friend to drive down the freeway at 65mph, stick your head out the passenger side window and try to breathe. If you still don't believe me, say so, and I'll go look up the science for it on medline.
4. Next problem, same result. If we're falling that far, that fast, Vahn's going to either pass out or die from the massive altitude change and/or air-pressure levels. Its called the bends, though it might have a different execution in mid-air than it does underwater the concept is the same. This is why skydivers have to pull the chute at a certain level, not because they'd be going to fast if they pulled it later, but because they need to keep their change in speed gradual enough so it doesn't kill them.
5. Next we have the math problems. Jello, I don't know where you got your numbers but this physics book I'm looking at says the terminal velocity of a skydiver without parachute open is apprx. 125mph. and an experienced skydiver can reach 160mph. For Viper to hit 200mph, he'd have to be swan diving. Even falling headfirst (which he isn't) it would be physically impossible because his body would be contorted out of position to make that smallest surface area fall.
6. So here I am looking at the equation for terminal velocity, and all I gotta say is you've got some seriously messed up math. Yes, its a pain to figure this out, but I'm up for it now. I'd like you to notice the position of m mass and A object's cross-sectional area. Now while it seems this is all a fine and dandy balancing act that only benefits Vahn's greater A you're not taking into account the weight of either combatant. I suspect that Viper is a great deal lighter than Vahn, what with not being human and all at this moment in time he weighs 135lbs. What do you weigh Vahn? Lets stop guessing and actually find this out.
-If Jello goes "Oh s**t, that's not really fair is it?" and puts the original rules back to the way they are.
Viper has ten feet on Vahn, neither reach terminal velocity before passing the 200ish feet of falling, Vahn goes out of bounds before Viper.
======================================== @Vahn and his pictures
Cute, wrong, but cute.

It was more of a spreading action across his body, much like immolation. I'll just run with it and see what I can do. >.>
And Jello, it recently came to my attention (mainly because I just don't read fights that aren't mine, not even Viper's) that you posted your closing statements in Vahn v Viper before he made his last remarks in the thread itself. >.> Though seeing as he made them here and now, *shrug*

Jans Viper I'd like to start with the statement that I don't think the impromptu rule change from 10 feet down being out of bounds to "whoever hits the ground first" is on the level. In fact, I respectfully object. You agreed before when I asked. Quote: -If we do the big fall to touch-down Falling due to gravity is all well and good, but nearly everything that has been said here has missed a few very large and critical points. Which is why it's fantasy, not science. We try, but we can never have reality. Quote: 1. Jello got me thinking on this one when he said in passing "People are top heavy." He's right, they are. Thing is, Viper isn't people. You have more mass in your chest and shoulder area than in your a** and legs. Quote: Same as Vahn got to clarify how he's falling, Viper is going back down with his hands covering his gut and mouth. This reduces his surface area wind resistance only by the measure of his hands and arms. Yes, this is why I said "headfirst" and not "like a bat out of hell" or whatever. Without actively trying to direct his fall he'd follow the path of least resistance, which would put his head and shoulders down, with his legs trailing behind like a comet tail or whatever you want to relate it too. Center of mass is high, hence why it goes down first. Quote: 2. (An aside, skydivers control direction by tilting their body's to decrease the surface area being aplied to wind resistance, creating an angle that you then "slide" down across the air.) That's all very nice, but a sword has flat surfaces. The point of introducing a flat surface as an addition to total surface area in regards to reducing total wind resistance isn't one I'm going to argue. It just doesn't have anything behind it. Quote: 3. (I don't know the height, I asked so very many times but no one answered) Yeah, he did. Didn't you see it? Quote: If you still don't believe me, say so, and I'll go look up the science for it on medline. I still don't believe you, but it doesn't have anything to do with the fight. I'll admit that it would be more difficult to draw breath, but in no way would it be impossible to glean a little bit of intake off of that venturi there. Quote: 4. Next problem, same result. If we're falling that far, that fast, Vahn's going to either pass out or die from the massive altitude change and/or air-pressure levels. Its called the bends Which is nitrogen bubbles in the blood, which clog veins and arteries and cause nitrogen poisoning and all that. It's caused by changes in pressure. A thousand feet at roughly sea level isn't going to kill you like 2-3 atmospheres of pressure in diving might. We're talking the height of a tall building, and that isn't really the stratosphere... especially considering we're starting at 0 and going down. Quote: 5. Next we have the math problems. Jello, I don't know where you got your numbers but this physics book I'm looking at says the terminal velocity of a skydiver without parachute open is apprx. 125mph. I linked it. Check it out. It has quotes from the various sources it pulled the numbers from, one of which is a physics book, others being records of skydiving and so on. Quote: 6. So here I am looking at the equation for terminal velocity, and all I gotta say is you've got some seriously messed up math. That's what happens when you don't have any numbers to work with. Any. Quote: Yes, its a pain to figure this out, but I'm up for it now. Give it a shot, show your work. Remember to calculate the exact wind resistance for a naked man with a stomach wound and another guy going spread eagle with a sword between his teeth or whatever. Quote: I suspect that Viper is a great deal lighter than Vahn, what with not being human and all at this moment in time he weighs 135lbs. How many times did I ask for that number? How many pages did we discuss it? How many times did you pop in to give a witty comment during that discussion without actually giving any real information for us to work with while trying to calculate your fate? Quote: before passing the 200ish feet of falling ...at what point was 200 feet ever a number in any of this? Ever? I don't think I ever used that number at all. Nice rant, Viper, but... you've got some messed up facts in there, as well as a wrong interpretation on what the rules currently are in regards to that, and you refused to give me your weight for what seemed like the better part of a week so I was forced to assume that both were roughly the same and calculate without it.

Tacitus And Jello, it recently came to my attention that you posted your closing statements in Vahn v Viper before he made his last remarks in the thread itself. In the fight thread? His last post was "I fall", and then he asked me to decide who hit the ground. So, yeah, my 'who hit the ground' post came before his next post. It's still open, obviously, for those closing remarks. As for this thread... I asked for a day or two about any questions/comments/things, but nobody seemed to have anything to say. I'm fairly certain that Viper posted in here like, immediately after one of my posts asking about whether or not he had anything to say in regards to what I came up with, and he didn't. If I'm mistaken, I'm sorry. I've had a rough couple of weeks.

Disregarding the fact that I can't throw numbers or figures at you--- If you are going to basically tell me that Viper's mass is LIGHTER than Vahn, I want to know what your smoking and why your making this s**t up as we go along.
To do the kind of damage you do, and take the kind of brunt force you do-- there has to be MASS there, even IF you ARE nothing but compressed energy of an alternate reality, or whatever the hell is it this Destruction stuff is.
Your basically trying to pass off that your as light as a feather and made of nothing but air now.
Logic strictly speaking, that raises flags in my head.Disregarding that-- let's go with Viper wieghing less than Vahn. What is it exactly that he is made up of? How can we exactly determine what he weighs with this unknown material-- what holds it together, etc, etc, cakes and longcats. How do you arrive at the number you did, with the unknown factor of substance making up his body? Is he all hallow from lack of organs and bones? No spine? What a can of worms... Second point-- Viper is freefalling with NOTHING abouts him, let alone anything affecting him anymore. Vahn has the sword, and as evidenced with the bersekr picture I threw out, the situation is thusly applicable. If you can be the nexus for super destructive energy and have it make up your entire being without needing to breathe, eat or sleep (from lack of organs) then I can do what Guts did in the manga panel. Vahn is not STRAIGHT freefalling, he's curving in mid-air making his fall last as long as possible, through use of the blade, to recieve the wind pressure. And his body is TAKING damage from doing the technique, ontop of the damage he has already sustained from just trying to survive your Big Bang attack. You basically unleashed the energy of a galaxy-- possibly all existence into a tightly compact area, and now bitching about me using your own sword to slow my fall down? Vahn's already practically walking dead--- like when Rock Lee got back up out of reflex after Gaara crushed his arm and leg. Its the body acting on instinct and his immense will to live, survive-- that tangible human aspect that everyone has. And he's just trying to last a minute longer while bleeding to death. Another point-- for your wind pressure, bends, arthritis and diarrehea argument--- I'm sure you've read One Piece. Sanji and Zolo both take MASSIVE damage that SHOULD kill normal people every day. I'm pretty sure Zolo bleeds out mroe than the body should be able to hold as well on a daily basis-- but he still trucks ON. It's called endurance. maybe epicly so. But don't try to tell me what should kill my guy or not-- I know his limits and can realistically keep them in mind while still making my posts fantastic to read. Vahn IS human, but he's not a plain old ordinary human. While all we know about you is your basically the unretconned Beyonder. As for your very first point--- the 'rule change', was made by Josh MANY weeks, maybe a month ago. I had no problem with it, and neither did YOU at the time. But now that I stand to win because of the 'first to drop' thing, you want to speak out about it. Talk about being a sore loser. As for the math issue-- thats in Josh' court, you take it up with him. And now you suddenly got a good ten foot jump off of Vahn's body, with a sword sticking out of your gut and having apparently survived an explosion going off inside your body and having zero energy to work with? Lol, nice.

Here's all the info you want about me Viper. Vahn (Modern Age) Vahn (or Kasuga) is a fictional anti-hero in the Gaia Universe. His base power easily rivals most other people, and his reputation as a powerhouse is common knowledge among his peers
DATA Birth Name: Vahn Pheronn Real Name: Vahn Fah the Sixth Status: Active Identity: The general public is unaware of Vahn's existance in the past, aside from some slightly ''fictional'' accounts in a series of novels known as ''The Stone King''. NOTES
He is extremely aggressive and competitive; bragging often that there is no one better than him. He's cocky, arrogant, and a bit selfless to the point that he's almost suicidal. Above everything he seems to be an attention-whore. Has a deep respect toward women, and wants to help them whenever he can. Likes his shirts and pants to be slim-fitting. A lot of the time he comes off as uncaring about things that don't directly involve him, and sometimes even about things that do involve him. His name is read with the accent on the "a". So it's V-aa-n.
Theme Song: "Shell Guitar Version" - Witch Hunter Robin(from "Original Sound Score #2")
HISTORY Vahn's abilities and relationships have changed slightly over time. The author has used the process of retroactive continuity, or retcon, to adjust to changes in popular culture, eliminate restrictive segments of the mythos, and permit contemporary storylines. These changes, while significant, permit the retention of the core elements that make Vahn an iconic character.
Birthright Vahn was born on a stormy night - the new moon was just forming- in the city of Dasans, in one of the oldest Families of the Kingdom, the Pheronn lineage. He was the third son of Eidolon the Blue, General of Allen Fah. Following the tradition of the nobility of Allen Fah the destiny of the child was foreseen by the seers to determine the God that has chosen him and thus the cult he would be connected to.
In Vahn's case the prophecies were clouded and the seers feared the child because its future meant the rising of a new God among the great Gods of the kingdom. It was said this child was Chosen by Mari, the Goddess of Oblivion, a Goddess only worshipped by the minority of Murmillions.
The priests of Barkhas and the other main temples feared that this prophecy was destroying the spiritual balance of the kingdom and thus the child would bring great misfortune to the realm. The Highpriestess of Barkhas even demanded to abandon the child but Eidolon the Blue, though bound to Barkhas through his own allegiance, had the backing of the Emperor himself and refused to follow this call to protect his child.
This decision brought a severe break between the Emperor and the priests of Barkhas as well as the seers of Thalisien, Mari's counterpart. In their eyes the child had to be kept away from the Kingdom at all costs and though the command of Eidolon the Blue ensured victory these shadows of the future as well brought great sorrow to the General.
The priests thus had no problem with keeping Vahn away from the seats of power as well as from his destined cult. In the years following his birth the three great temples hunted and expelled the cult of Mari wherever possible to prevent the bond of a noble's son to a temple of a foreign cult at all costs. Only the watchful eyes of Fah himself prevented more direct actions against this black mark in the kingdom's palace.
His house was thus aligned with the Cult of Fire, thus his education started in the schools of this Cult. At a young age his Family enlisted him for the drakkar training to fulfill their duty to the Emperor, but as with all the other noble children, he still continued his education at the Cult of Fire's temples.
Devil's Seed It was at the age of 14, that Vahn along with the rest of the children, were taken to a sorceress in the swamps of Elenassi. Emperor Fah himself feared that one day one of them might be able to lead a rebellion against him. So, he had the sorceress cast a spell that would keep the children from coming of age by preventing thier bodies from maturing. However, the spell itself had a extremely low chance of succeeding, and failure meant death. Out of the whole lot, only a few survived the spell. Vahn was one of them. Because this Sorceress was the only one one who might be able to reverse the spell the children were then ordered to kill her. Emperor Fah was only too happy to encourage the children, now that he was certain they would never be able to grow to his level of power.
Drakkar Training Even if he lived in Dasans, he never saw the Emperor until he finished his drakkar training. As at that time, Draeger was rarely to be seen in the capital, being most of the times busy with the major campaign that he initiated against the Kingdom of Zelandria. Nevertheless, the fifty years of battles on the foreign territories had spawned many legends in Allen Fah. Just as many of the kids, Vahn was mesmerized by these stories, and Draeger became his role-model, his idol. The stories about Draeger' fierce warriors, about his mastery of weapons, about his tactical genious, all these had left a deep mark in Vahn's young mind. Thus, helped by a strong will and ambition, Vahn concentrated on both his Cult studies and the military training, quickly growing in ranks among the young drakkars. He became trained by his father, and rigorously. He learned to punch by taking a punch, he learned to parry a sword by having one slice him, and all at the hands of his father, a man of tremendous strength. Experience was his tutor.
There is yet another side of his education, that not many were aware of, and that is his Arkhaeon alignment. The Guild was in very close relations with the Cult of Fire (a secret agreement that was going on for years by that time) and the period of Vahn's education happened to be a period of experimentations. The Arkhaeon guilders were granted by the Cult with the possibility of sending teachers into their schools - as they were hoping to interfere in the drakkar conditioning and secure some acolytes among the "Emperor's guardians". As a young and ambitious apprentice, Vahn was sighted by the guilders and by the time he finished his training he was also already an Arkhaeon acolyte. Ill-intended voices now say that his quick growth in ranking was just due to his Arkhaeon status (as the Guild actually used its intrigues to promote the young boy), but no one could ever doubt that he always proved to be meritous in any of his positions. Helped or not by Arkhaeon's power, Vahn managed to become the youngest Captain of Drakkars and yet the battles he fought under this rank proved that he was indeed worthy of the title.
Goddess of Oblivion With various campaigns dragging on left and right, he began to travel through the realm and learn more about the land and people first hand.
It was on one of these travels that he crossed the moon hills, the unsecure borderlands to the lands of the Murmillions where he first met her. When he sought shelter for the night in one of the many small but fortified hamlets he recognized a girl wrapped in black robes lurking from the shadows of a small passage between the houses. Vahn was struck by the beauty and unlimited depth of her dark eyes, a depth that could make a man forget all his sorrows. Here in a forgotten hamlet they spent time alone together, reminiscing about their pasts and longing for "simpler times". In the heat of passion, thinking this may be their last night together, the two slept with one another. In the morning to come, Vahn ended up following the girl over a small mountain pass. There he found the last shrine of Mari left in a small valley, untouched by the Priests of Barkhas. And it was there that he not only learnt more about the hidden cult of this Goddess but also that the Murmillions had split into two factions over the true meaning of Mari's prophecies.
The pure power of Mari's manipulating nature frightened the young Vahn but also lured him deeper into the secret tellings of the Murmillions. He stayed weeks in the small community and either bewitched by the dark powers or chosen by destiny he closed the bond between himself and his deity.
Vahn was several ages wizend in mind, but in body he remained youthful and though he kept his discovery to himself the watchful eyes of Draeger grew more suspicious with every day.
Sinner He betrayed the Empire of Alan Fah to follow his brother's dream of freedom; he saw Victor's rebellion against Alan Fah as an opportunity to be free and lead a new life. His dream, however, was soon painfully destroyed. Victor's big dream of freedom, far from being Vahn's idea of a peaceful new life, only meant new troubles for him.
During the fatal encounter with Draeger himself, his "split heritage" was revealed. Half of his genetics came from Eidolon, but the rest came from Draeger himself. Draeger revealed in his final moments that the reason he used his DNA to help 'create' Vahn, was to generate a sleeper agent that he could use to destroy any potential usurpers, especially Eidolon. He was intimately involved with the Sorceress who placed the cursed seal on Vahn, and through her he implanted oral commands into Vahn.
Vahn lost his high rank and position in Alan Fah, was labeled as a traitor, and was despised by those of his own race. But even outnumbered Vahn wanted to protect the weak, but failing to do so, he lost himself in rage and savagely killed a hundred of his former allies. It was in this battle that his face was struck by a sword blade and scarred him horribly. It struck fear into the hearts of all who would gaze upon, for they knew a true hero, and the terrifying power he commanded. Vahn won the admiration and respect of Victor and the rest of the traitors, but for Vahn, the title of "killer of 100 men" only meant painful memories and remorse. Vahn and the Sinners (as they became dubbed) were able to escape from Nybelmar, but they were constantly hunted, and they were unable to be completely at peace.
Sins of the Father Then Vahn started to feel attracted towards Ashe, a kind and beautiful woman who he kidnapped from Zelandria at Victor's request. Victor, who only saw the amazing powers Ashe had as another tool to achieve his dream, regarded her as just that at first, completely alienating the Princess.
Soon afterwards however, the rogue Sinners began being hunted down, member after member being brutally murdered. Both Vahn and Victor discover the cause to be the work of Draeger's labours in dark sorcery: a twisted fascimile of the terrastrial avatar Efreet.
In the fires of Allen Fah's black sorcery it was born, or rather, forged, this new Efreet made to house the consciousness of the deceased Efreet of 70 millennia ago. The original Efreet had been found, injured mortally from a battle long since passed. However, Draeger took hold of the dead beast, and resurrected it sculpting his new pet, and infusing it with rivers of flame charging it with negative energy of some of the most loathsome and hideous acts any being can perform. True to its nature, shortly after reaching complete sentience, the corrupted Efreet proved to be too much for Draeger and thus, escaped to wreak its own havoc.
This Efreet was considered the real deal by many, yet it was later revealed to the brothers to be the presumed dead Draeger Fah. He had fused his remains and essence with the avatar's corrupted body, destroyed Nybelmar and consequently began marshalling forces within Sorrow's Keep. In one such engagement, Victor was presumed killed by a servant of Draeger's.
When Vahn led an attack against Sorrow's Keep, Draeger ended up taking control of Vahn and forced him to attack his own allies, Ashe included. Yet, despite the brainwashing, Vahn held back enough to make the blows non-fatal. He managed to shake off the implanted mental command and return to his friends, but not before breaking Junzo's arm and savagely beating his lover, Ashe.
Through a combined effort of Ashe' summoning of the Leviathan, and Vahn's beheading of Draeger-- they were able to finally expel the wicked essence from the avatar, forcing the planet to reclaim it's child. However, there still remained enough corruption within the 'body' of Efreet itself. Ashe then took measurements to effectively seal away the remains, using Vahn's own left arm as a medium.
Created through the magic and prowess of Ashe, this arm contained all the negative energy and destruction that Efreet represented. This would be the beginnings of a darker persona within the hero. It was during this time that Victor was revealed to be still alive, having narrolwy escaped death.
Afterwards, the survivors decided to take a "leave of absence", and secluded themselves within a derelict Tower in the south. There, Ashe showed Vahn that he had a soul, stronger than his inner demons.
Great Divide While many months passed in blissful seclusion, Victor had begun researching methods of removing the age surpressing seal from both he and his brother, as they wanted no part of a psuedo-immortal life. To do this, Victor undertook an expidition to locate Drager's severed head, intending to copy it's very memories and sift through them for knowledge of a reversal seal.
This proved to be disatrous however, as Ashe began resonating with the 'memories' and was slowly being taken over by Draeger's remaining essence. Victor soon decided to get rid of her, but Vahn refused, and his brotherhood with Victor was destroyed in an instant. Vahn and Victor fought, and they were both badly injured wrecking the Tower itself in the process. Vahn had gained the upper hand in the fight but as Ashe attempted to prevent the killing of Victor, she was impaled by Victor's blade. Wracked with grief over the death of his true love, Vahn fell from the Tower, unleashing his latent power and drastically changing the surrounding landscape's geography in the process, turning the Southern region into a desert.
Victor was presumably killed in the onslaught and Vahn, broken after losing Ashe, soon passed out from the bloodloss.
Flame Bringer When he came to, he was confined to a bed, and being tended to by a young man who called himself Dain. He spent most of time within the city he had come to know as Strata, trying his best to fit in with the populace and cope with living a normal life. However, it was never meant to be. He soon found himself embroiled within a civil war.
He travelled the lands for 50 years soon after, before coming to the Stadium and meeting Sunstrike, as well as a slew of other "characters".
1. First meetings: Sunstrike, Nedyfay, Latent, Raven, Reiko, Dante, Hawk
2. Self-exile after sleeping with Hawk and fighting with Enki(Latent).
3. Dealing with the Kyonuske Clan's affairs.
4. Returning at the peak of Reiko's attempted takeover, and fighting him to the death.
5. Remains taken to Levkit by Hawk, using gene manipulation from Tellus' DNA and the remains, Vahn is 'cloned' back to life.
6. Hush emerges, as the slumbering 'Draeger' persona manifests itself and attempts to take over the new body, reverting Vahn to some sort of primal manifestation of flame. Exorcised by Tellus, Vahn is bald.
7. After several months seclusion within Levkit, he returns to the new Stadium, with the Kyonuske Clan, becoming part owner. It is during this time, that Vahn began experiencing fluxes within his power levels, resulting in him even going so far as to 'freeze' himself in order to restore lost energy from the Hush incident. While 'hybernating' Vahn is mistaken for a "shiny jewel" and taken into Maximo's hat, and delivered into the Shadow Realm. It is here that he meets the enigmatic butler Walter, and recieves his most famous gear to date: the Efreet set. It is also here that Vahn's power abnormalities are fixed, by taking in Efreet's blood itself, thus changing his psiology makeup vastly. He is released fromt he Shadow Realm and transported to a mysterious Island in the west only known as "Fire Island".
8. Several months pass by as Vahn explores the ruins of the Island, and fends off attempts of the resident Fire Dragon to make him its dinner.
9. Vahn makes his return to the Stadium, nearly a year later, riding atop the very same Fire Dragon that attempted to eat him.
10. Months pass by. Providence emerges and begins wreaking havoc upon the Stadium, signaling it's 'rebirth'. At the same time betrayal flourishes within the Kyonuske. as Victor reveals himself. He makes off with a sealed spell, while Vahn is struck down by Providence. As Providence begins his final onslaught-- the 'devil' within Vahn awakens and takes over, dealing the first fatal blow to be given to Providence. Vahn reasserts control, only to be blown away by tornado force winds, using the remainder of his blood and flame to manifest his extreme will into the form of a phoenix; the survivors watch as the Stadium is decimated.
11. Vahn and Sunstrike wind up being far flung to the southern reaches of the continent. They are taken into Strata...
12. Vahn recovers, while Sunstrike learns more about Vahn's past from an old man named "Dain". Sunstrike forms a sort of kinship with Nahara and Hibon. Several months pass.
13. Two 'devils' arrive in Strata, looking for Vahn. The citizens are fooled into thinking they are being invaded by the Lizard clan(sentient race of lizards). Nahara and Hibon suffer extreme damage while fighting, as does Sunstrike. Vahn intervenes, only to be interuppted by his 'devil' persona; he is beaten nearly to death when Dain himself shows up and forces the two to retreat. Sunstrike is taken.
14. Vahn recuperates while Strata becomes assaulted by an invading Lizard Clan force; Sunstrike had been taken to Hollow, by the 'devils' who instigated their bloodlust, making it seem as if Strata militia soldiers had launched an offensive first.
15. Sunstrike is deemed the next leader of the Lizard Clan, meets his brother. Discovery of Victor's whereabouts which ultimately lead to Sunstrike reuniting with Vahn.
16. Arrival of Tellus and Raven. The four soon head off towards the location of "Babel", the tower in which Victor has housed himself in.
17. Navigating the perils of Babel, the combined might of all four are unable to stop Victor from escaping to Eden, via the Tower. With nothing left to do but seek more information, the group disbands, deciding on their own course of actions. Vahn and Sunstrike begin travelling back North, after tying up loose ends in Strata.
18. Vahn is convinced by Silver to participate in HoH, especially after discovering that Sierra, currently possesed by her sister persona Ra'kar, is also a particpant. Vahn is unable to obtain any direct information and is nearly killed in his fight with Ra'kar, due to him holding back and not willing to injure her.
19. HoH draws to a close, and even with winning the grand prize, Vahn is disatisfied. Soon after, Latent comes under attack and with no choice but to do what he feels is right... Vahn heads off to the lonely battle. Only to be accompanied by Sunstrike at the last moment. Engaging in a massive fight with an undead bone behemoth, Vahn is severely injured to the point that a faux version of his 'devil' persona manifests itself as a defensive mechanism. He showcases nearly omni-potent flame control of the avatar-class.
20. With the attack long since halted, Vahn's body was on the verge of genetically breaking down. Given a 'once in a lifetime' cure by benefactors in Yaits City, Vahn eventually makes his way back east, to Latent.
21. Meeting up with old contacts, Vahn relunctantly agrees to becoming a 'mercenary' in order to find out the whereabouts of both Sunstrike and Victor. On one such assignment he is sent to Ariel.... the place in ruins and nothing but death left, Vahn encounters Rage. Tagging along in the belief that he could obtain more information, he winds up at the Firebrand Tavern. It is here he meets up with Owle, and forms an unspoken connection with the woman.
22. Dragged into the events of PoC, after some setbacks, Vahn eventually finds himself fighting for the fate of the world, alongside two other men. For once finding his true calling in the heat of the moment, in a combined trio assault, Vahn manages to defeat his ultimate foe yet.
23. Back in the Firebrand, Vahn recuperates from the last fight... ready to fulfill his silent vow made to a friend, and in turn find his own place in life once again-- as the loveable badass of the Gaia Universe.
Description: The term "brawler" comes to mind when you first see this man. His form is noteably slender. He has ear-length, pointy, jet black hair. His slanted eyes are yellow, and his brows are usally always furrowed. He has thin eyebrows and a large mouth.
His face is slightly long/ he has small ears. Lots of silver hoop earrings--were talkin like a dozen (give or take) on his left ear--ear cuffs are cool too. Has a slash between his eyes, going right across his nose (hero's scar).
His left arm has a tribal-style flame marking, that goes about most of his upper bicep.
Personality: True to his name, this man has an explosive personality. He is tenacious and fierce, always on an emotional guard and ever alert. A loner by nature, he is slow to open up and even slower to trust. Despite his outer gruffness, he is highly loyal, ferociously defending those lucky enough to be befriended by him. He is a dangerous foe and a powerful ally.
But with a sense that he isn't yet strong enough, Vahn often does what he does best: pick an option, charge headlong, and don't let anything stand in the way (contrary to what some may think, Vahn does think before he acts most of the time; he just thinks very quickly).
Who?: Vahn's fierce nature fits the mould for anti-heroes. His willingness to use deadly force, his efforts to come to terms with his questionable past and his angst-filled inner conflicts are all standards for anti-heroes. The character is an unparalleled master of combat who will not hesitate to meet lethal force in kind.
Other than being able to control black flames, Vahn is an above-average Stadium combatant, known as the Flame-Hand fighter, who has reached legendary status.
To people that don't know he's a fighter, he's considered a slacker who hangs around the wrong people and will disappear for days. To those who know he's a fighter, he's considered a dangerous man. He is not a guy who you want to mess with, and easily gets offended when looking for fights--but he follows his heart.
However, Vahn is the man most likely to permanently deal with adversaries who dispense lethal force. Despite his quick temperament, he has been described as a warrior poet with an iron will.
Knowledge: Though seemingly brutish, Vahn is actually highly intelligent. Due to his increased lifespan, he has been able to travel around Gaia and amass an intimate knowledge of many languages, customs and cultures. During his years with the Kyonuske Clan, he became proficient in martial arts both armed and unarmed: he is especially skilled in the use of the broadsword. He can use most weapons, traditional or modern, long or close range. He is also an accomplished rider and is extremely well trained in espionage and covert/black operations. Vahn speaks fluent Common and has some working knowledge of Draconic, Elvish, and Latin.
During his stay at LevKit, when Doctor's monitored Vahn's vitals during a training session, they reported Vahn's physical and mental state as "equivalent to an Olympic-level athlete performing a Gold-medal-winning routine whilst simultaneously beating four chess computers in his head", which gives something of an idea of the level of sophistication and tactical processing Vahn is capable of utilizing whilst in combat.
Strength Level: While Vahn was a normal man, he possessed the normal human strength of a man in his prime with his height and build who engaged in intensive regular exercise.
Now, being of an advanced age, he possesses the maximum human strength of a man in his prime with his height and build who engages in a daily regimen of rigorous exercise (including aerobics, weight lifting, gymnastics, and simulated combat) to keep himself in peek condition. Vahn is one of the finest human combatants Gaia has ever known.
His base strength was increased to the human maximum, making him capable of lifting (pressing) 800 lbs. On at least two occasions, Vahn has been able to draw upon an inner strength equal to super-strength, enabling him to get out from beneath rubble, though on both occasions a friend was threatened. Vahn's leg muscles have developed to the point where he can jump over a high wall in a single bound.
Because of his 'extended' life span, Vahn has developed an enhanced resistance to disease since his body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, in turn granting him phenomenal endurance, an advanced metabolism which gives recovery time from injury that is somewhat faster than that of an ordinary human, although not nearly as fast as those with true healing factors. Despite Vahn's chronological age, he is still as healthy and physically fit as a man in his prime.
Vahn's bodily tissues are substantially more durable and resistant to impact or trauma than an ordinary human, although he is certainly not invulnerable. Because of this, normal punches or blows do not effect him, however particularly powerful attacks from formidable opponents may injure him and cause bleeding.
Despite this, Vahn takes the majority of heavy damage on a daily basis, almost making it a point to have himself drenched in blood after every major battle, with plenty of scars to brag about. And even better, severe damage to his vitals organs do not seem to slow him down much. Vahn is probably the most resilient member of the stadium and all he needs is some good sleep to replenish lost blood.
Weakness: Vahn possesses an innate connection to the element of fire; the only real 'wow' trait that emerged when he became entwined with Efreet. He is capable of summoning it and controlling it thereafter via his Black Flame, but that doesn't mean he makes common practice of frightening enemies with pillars of flame. Fire is a volatile element that can easily careen out of control, and Vahn's mastery of this skill is only matched by his respect for it. God-play has no place in his life, and so the situations in which he uses this talent are often nothing short of life-threatening.
Furthermore, the consequences of using it extensively can endanger both Vahn and the people around him. Though immune to actually burning from any flame weaker than his own, Vahn's body undergoes exceptional strain in commanding it. Because his body heats up to temperatures that would be considered lethal in humans, severe dehydration is the most common complication. When you're hot you sweat, and Vahn is no exception.
Due to the nature in which he summons his Black Flame, becoming anemic is also a very real threat to Vahn, so it is used sparingly if at all.
Known Power(s): Vahn's powers have evolved considerably over the years. Originally he was a normal human and simply relied on his "cursed" left arm. In normal human form, he had the strength, agility and durability of a typical athletic male of his size. With his left arm, his strength and durability was enhanced, with the power to absorb various forms of energy blasts, and re-emit them as his own. He was also shown to be able to launch his left hand as a chained projectile attack, which he mentally guided, as well known to have a slight immunity to heat and flames.
Once the power of Efreet in Vahn's arm was activated, his body had been invaded (to be more accurate, nearly blown apart) by it. His body was unable to withstand the pressure of its power and would have eventually internally collapsed. Using it just once was the equivalent of setting off a time bomb.
Of course, even when he didn't use it, it would still eat away at his body (for ten years), even with the restrictive sealing cloth. Although over time, Vahn immense will of ego had literally "tamed the beast".
The actual form of the "invasion" is conversion of the body into flame.
Over the years, his physiology has gone through radical changes, after being cloned from the remains of his old body by Levkit. Vahn was capable of generating black flames from his blood as an 'armor' of densely packed flames around his left arm; later, this branched off to a subdued form of pyrokinesis. Eventually, he was actually able to extend his radius of control in which his flames were augmented to enhanced levels, but when he overexerted himself his body retaliated by consuming itself.
For a time, Vahn could no longer control his power as part of a side-effect from the cloning process. He was constantly in a dangerous flux of heat, even going so far as to lose control of himself and give in to a berserker mode. After going berserk and nearly killing his friends, Vahn forced himself into a self-sustainted form of 'deep sleep', encasing his body within a super-cooled sphere of heat. The sphere was mistaken for a "black pearl" by Maximos, and thus taken into his domain, the aptly named Shadow Realm. During his stay here, Vahn was given ownership over two Efreet forged items; a pair of greaves and a seemingly elegant rapier. In addition, he was given a direct vial of Efreet's blood; which upon consumption changed his body even more drasticaly into a second stage of enhancement: creating so called 'flame glands' within his body, as well as making his blood much more thicker (akin to mollases).
When humans eat, they digest the food in their stomach. In Vahn's case. the digestion then continues, breaking down the food even further. After Vahn's body has used all it can from the digestion, the body then turns the leftover food and acid into a byproduct of hydrogen. Vahn can hold the hydrogen in various 'flame glands' in his body which in turn mixes with his bloodstream. When Vahn needs to use his flame, the glands release the hydrogen into the bloodstream where it mixes with other various chemicals the body creates. Once this mixture finds oxygen, it burns extremely hot, and very quick.
Since then, he has been able to increase the temperature in his proximity, and endure extreme heat and flame without being harmed by mentally overriding his hypothalamus (nerve centers for regulating body temperature). This in turn has rendered his body tissues unaffected by high degree temperatures lesser than his own. The changes have also granted Vahn thermal vision: the ability to detect objects visually by how much heat the objects generate.
It has been implied that Vahn's lack of personal initiative has prevented him from discovering the deeper facets of his power and has led him instead to focus only on what might be the easiest manifestation of his abilities, the creation of flame (several cases have arisen where Vahn has shown simply more than this).
After the events of the Stadium's destruction at the hands of Providence, it appeared that Vahn had actually burned out his powers, having returned to his normal human form and noticeably sweating in a desert climate. However, while repelling an attack of modified devils, Vahn's powers reactivated. In a private conversation with Sunstrike, it was revealed Vahn didn't lose his powers, but had subconsicously shut them down out of fear due to the transformation he underwent into his darker persona-- the aptly named 'Devil'-- while combatting Providence (it had been argued that Vahn's earlier berserk modes were simply forshadowing to the true state of his 'devil' side).
Vahn's flame has grown in degrees since then, through encounters with several prominent adversaries; the first being the manifestation of Chaos itself.
After teaming up with a group of other would-be adventurers, Vahn's body had been tainted by Chaos, and his Devil persona benefitted greatly, slowly tipping the scales of control within Vahn's psyche.
After this, Vahn's black flames seemed to pack more physical force and produce a concussive effect not seen with normal fire. He has been seen to even destroy stone projectiles thrown at him using his enhanced flames. Vahn has been shown to intensify this effect by charging up his flame before releasing it.
The second instance was of Vahn's chance rescue and rejuvenation by Yaits, the embodiment of Ymir. Restoring Vahn's mangled right arm, he also left a portion of his own being in Vahn's repaired limb, increasing even greater the amount of destructive potential his black flame had, but also putting greater strain on Vahn's body itself.
It was this final tip that Vahn's 'devil' persona utilized to finally attempt a takeover of the physical body, which was halted by Lucind's and Owle's intervention.
Due to the taint of Ymir within Vahn's arm, he gained the ability to utilize what is known as "the cold-blooded fire", electricty. Due to the nature of Ymir and the seal placed onto Vahn's right arm (newly cursed), with the proper amount of negative energy absorbed, he could unleashed lightning-esque attacks, guiding them with the tips of his finger, rather than fully controlling the raw power. Because of this complexity, a 'black' lightning attack takes much longer to initiate than standard fire attacks.
Vahn's flame, while seen as ''otherworldly'' at best, is still supported by the presence of oxygen, and thus is extinguished in low air pressure or a vacuum. Vahn's flame can be extinguished by smothering materials, such as water, sand, fire-fighting foam, and heat-resistant blankets, unless his flame is at such an intensity that it immediately vaporizes such materials on contact. If hit with small amounts of water, up to about five gallons, Vahn can turn it to steam with relatively little effort. More water than that could extinguish his flame at its normal level, and he would have to wait until he could evaporate the residual moisture before re-ignition.
His light output is mostly in the infrared and infrared region of the spectrum, and is invisible to the unaided eye. Less that 10% of his total power output is in the visible portion of the spectrum. Thus, when using his power, he is dimmer than one would expect of so powerful an energy source.
Known Abilities: The ability to project destructive, incinerating blasts of fire in the forms of long streams, beams, & spheres (fireballs). The ability to project fire from his gauntlet and greaves when punching or kicking. The ability to project miniature blinding flares that can be used as a distraction tactic, blind opponents, or signal allies and teammates. The ability to summon a firestorm at will over great amounts of area that have his blood spilt along it. The ability to project, breathe, and exhale fire from his mouth, like a dragon, if he's bled inside it. The ability to telekinetically manipulate and control any fire or flame created from his blood. He usually possesses complete control over the size, intensity, temperature, and shape of the flame at will. He can extinguish large amounts of unwanted fire within one's vicinity that was created by him, or amplify said fire to the degree of an immeasurable inferno. The ability to engulf his gauntlet and greaves in flame in order to burn opponents with his punches or kicks. The ability to generate shields of flame, capable of incinerating nearly any material or substance, including water, on contact. The ability to absorb flame into his body in order to increase's his physical capabilities or heal oneself. The ability to mentally control the ambient heat energy within his immediate environment, increasing the temperature of the surrounding atmosphere to thousands of degrees if he wishes. The ability to project searing, incinerating waves of intense heat, overwhelming opponents. The ability to automatically incinerate any projectiles projected at him before they make contact with his skin. (Under extreme duress only). The ability to melt any material or substance, depending on the temperature and intensity of his heat. The ability to heat the ground beneath and surrounding himself, making it impossible for opponents to touch the ground without burning their feet. The ability to cauterize his or an ally's injury. Immunity to the effects of fire and heat.
Skills:
Instinct The ability to "feel and act" upon what is the most appropriate movement during a battle. Close to prediction of the future. Reduces effects of visual and auditory obstructions by half. (Vahn) Lowered due to restraining of rage caused from contamination by Chaos. (Other Vahn)
Battle Continuance The ability to survive. Allows for battle even with grave wounds. Will survive as long as a decisively fatal injury isn't taken.
Burst The raising of stats by soaking one's weapon or body with flames and immediately expelling it. A jet burst using heat energy. Used in defense and movement. A normal weapon without powerful protection will be unable to withstand an attack by him and will probably be destroyed in one blow. When used by the 'Other' heat energy covers body without needing to will it to. Raises defense several times.
Eye of the Mind (True) Perception gained from training. Calm analysis of battle situation and conclusion of action during a tight spot through "theory of battle". As long as there is a 1% chance of turning the tables on the opponent, can execute a strategy to reel in that chance.

Weapons:Efreet's Fang Efreet's Fang is Vahn's sole weapon, an artifact sword given to him by the caretaker of Maximos' Shadow Realm. Although the Fang is seemingly a magic blade, its true power has not yet fully awakened. A warning has been issued that the sword must never come in contact with another devil arm; Efreet's Hand. From the outside it appeared to be little more than an ordinary Epee style Rapier. Though it was sheated in an oridinary black and dusty sheath the blade seemed about 3.5ft long, very thin and only about 2inchs wide. The hilt of the blade though was most magnificent. It was decorated with a luxurious cup shaped hand guard. And decorated in a similar manner to the greaves. It was made of a sort of dark metal with blood red trimming and the same myriads of tiny engravings along it. But it would also seem a bit big for this class of blade. It was thicker, and a bit longer, but Vahn be able to feel the light weight of the blade as he pulled it from the sheath and beheld its beauty. The swords blade itself was shaped like a thin flame reaching upwards to a point, with several points of fire reaching outward. It was thin, but just thick enough for the blade not to bend, and each spike was sharped so that the point and both side of the sword were razor sharp. The blade itself held a very strange design. The metal of the blade was a burnt black as if it had never been polished, or would never be polished. And yet one could still make out the dull firey color textures it once held. All and all the blade felt as light as a feather. Omen: When you grasp the hilt of this weapon, regardless of the ambient temperature, the blade is always scalding with over 1,000 degrees to the touch, and it seems to reflect the image of a great conflagration on it's surface, even when no fire is present. Ignition: The moment the fire began to burn on the blades surface, the question of why its hilt was so big and bulky was answered. The blade black itself seemed to glow a fierce red as if it had just been pulled from the forge and then suddenly, it too was engulfed in flame, but this flame form lasted only a few moments before the sword began its transformation.
Vahn would almost instantly notice an increase in weight as the sword moved up from a simple one or two pounds to closer to 20 pounds. The flame that engulfed the blade forged itself. It thin and cut until it lost all semblance of flame itself. The once jagged rapier blade now only served as the core of a large, straight Flamberge. The sword grew now instead of 3.5ft long and 2inchs wide it was a full 4.5ft long and 5inches wide. The soot and ash had burned cleaned off the rapier blade leaving it as the shining and powerful core of this new Fang mode. With enough effort one could still wield the blade with on hand, only much slower. But, there was still room on the hilt for another hand if need be. The new flaming blade had the appearance of constantly, and yet sluggishly moving molten magma and yet it was still quite solid.
Fang Combo I: Two horizontal slashes followed by a huge vertical chop. This probaly has the slowest attack and the last vertical is fairly easy to sidestep.
Fang Combo II: One high slash, followed by two slashes at ankle level. The two low slashes will tend to sweep opponents off their feet or unbalance them even if evaded.
Dive: Leaping high into the air, Vahn comes down hard with a big a** vertical chop. He skys like Mike and is able to leap over low attacks.
Stinger: A rapier technique, Vahn lunges forward and spears the enemy. This move is a great way to approach enemies swiftly and knock them off balance, so that other attacks can follow.
Stinger V.2: Rapidly shifting from Rapier to Flamberge, Vahn lunges across greater distances and impales an enemy with greater force making it his longest-reaching attack. Don't abuse this move because it is wll-telegraphed and a savvy player can side step it.
Armor Break: A vertical slash followed by a lifting slash that bashes an enemy into the sky.
Crescent Drive: When in it's true state, the flames that surround the blade are deadly, and multiply the damage of its slash. It can create a vacuum condition when it releases the compressed heat. Releasing the compressed heat via a rising slash that shewns a great gash into the floor, extending it into the ground and causing dust to be kicked up by the cutting effect. This sends a maximum concussive force of 275 pounds per square inch (sufficient to topple a filled garbage truck at 100 feet).
Rock Drill: A rapier technique that utilizes advanced flame control to repeatedly anchor the tip of the Fang onto a target point. Repeated withdrawals of the blade away from the target, and the subsequent attraction of the blade's tip towards it creates a series of thrusting attacks that, with sufficient skill, can create a drill-like force that can punch through a target, or burrow through various obstructions.
Whirlwind Sword: A rapier Technique where by using momentum from a spinning motion, a fast and wild attack is performed. The user swings his/her sword in wide strokes all around them, using the momentum of the rotating motion to increase the speed of the second attack until a rapid combo of strikes is performed all around them. With the wild, long strikes used in this attack, there is not a true aimed shot at a specific place, but because of the large area and rapid succession of each attack at the right distance, it is becomes difficult to avoid this attack.
Explosion: Efreet's Fang. A weapon not created by humans, but a weapon of legacy created for the terrastrial avatar: Efreet. It is a blade that stands on top of all others in the category of flame swords. An amplifier that transforms the owner's will into "flame", and increasing the kinetic momentum by convergence and acceleration, it is a flame sword that makes use of Avatar class flames possible.
From a third person, it looks like a gigantic ray of light, but the attacking point is just the tip of the light. It is the "Ultimate slash" which tears apart all objects that the "layer" passes through. Its massive will lets it carry heat other than its tip, and as a result, it can be taken as a wave of light that sweeps the earth. It can also be said as an energy weapon with a direction.
Final Flame: The Fang of Efreet can be broken in a retributive strike. The breaking of the sword must be purposeful and declared by the wielder. All energy currently in the sword are instantly released in a 30-foot- radius globe. All within 10 feet of the broken sword take severe damage, those between 11 feet and 20 feet away take moderate damage, and those 21 feet to 30 feet distant take minimal damage. The character breaking the sword has a 50% chance of traveling to another plane of existence; if he or she does not, the explosive release of energy destroys him or her. After all charges are used up from the sword, it remains as shards. Hand of Efreet(Right forearm) This gauntlet uses the elemental power of fire to strike down enemies with flaming retribution. Although extremely powerful, the Hand requires that Vahn fuel it's power with his own blood. An ashy black object, matching the look of the fang, as well as the greaves. It looked like a tube of sorts covered from one end to the other with small runic etchings in a dark crimson color, sort of like blood engraved into the metal of the object. Near the center of the object toward its top half was an orb of sorts, it was a dark red. The orb, known as "Eye of Efreet" responds to any source of flame, magical or not and feeds off of it. When wielded by an unworthy wielder, that person will lose their arm. Forms a symbiotic relationship with host, whom can hear the 'Flame'. The gauntlet can appear as an ornate looking bracelet, when wielded it expands across the forearm of the wielder, shredding clothes, covering the flesh like armour. The armour seems subjective as to the level of threat. Faced against mortals, it will usually generate less armour than when faced against a demon of hell. Omen: When you wear the Hand of Efreet, the runes sketched upon it would glow a brilliant red, as would the orb itself. A series of sharp pains would rip into the arm, as if a thousand burning needles were poking into the forearm at the exact same moment. The hand would then pulse, like a second heart beating deep within the forearm. With each pulse of this firey heart, the flames within the orb swirled seemingly forming a fire storm within itself. Slumber: The only method of putting the otherwise chatoic power of the Hand, to rest. The item undergoes a transformation into an item of lesser value, thus "resting" until it is needed. It takes the form of a bracelet, with a single red orb in it's center.
Manipulation: By tapping into the elemental core of the flame, one can use it to image any shape, construct, object, or weapon the wielder can think of out of fire from any part of his body at will. The only solid element of the flame is a thin wire, but it is quite powerful, as it is forged from the owner. You may not feel the loss on such small creations but as they grow larger and more complex they will begin to tax you.
So far, Vahn can form swords he has seen, and shields. He can also shoot flame blasts from the hand or projectile flame darts, and whip-like grapples to wound or for climbing.
Flame Ruler: Fire Elementals can't attack the wearer, or even approach within 5 feet of him. If the wearer desires, he may forego this protection and instead attempt to charm the elemental. If the charm attempt fails, however, absolute protection is lost and no further attempt at charming can be made.
Flame Tounge: The wearer of the Hand is able to converse with creatures of the fire plane, as well as elementals. These creatures recognize that he weilds the Hand. They show a healthy respect for the wearer if alignments are similar. If alignments are opposed, creatures fear the wearer if he is strong. If he is weak, they hate and desire to slay him. Efreet's Greaves These greaves, the third in the set of Efreet items, were given to Vahn by the same benefactor. The kicks he can deliver with these leave even the toughest enemies reeling. A pair of black boots with blood red trimming and soles with a metal that was a dull black but its outline was a blood red, and running all through the metal and the boot itself were silver engravings forming a myriad of tiny runes in some unspeakable ancient language, the runes themselves forming the outline of fire rising up the metal plating. Omen: When you wear the greaves, regardless of the ambient temperature, they are always scalding with over 1,000 degrees to the touch, and it seems to reflect the image of a great conflagration on it's surface, even when no fire is present. Ignition: The moment Vahn's flames touched them they reacted. The silver engravings would quickly fill with as if some sort of molten flame built below them causing the many tiny runes to glow fiercely. And then, without warning the boots literally were engulfed in flames. The flames kept close, to the actual greaves only forming a very thin superheated and vaguely transparent glow, an aura if you will. The aura served to literally thin the atmosphere around his feet. It made them feel lighter, faster, stronger. There would be no friction to his kicks, it would be as they soared through nothing at all. Or almost as if the Greaves themselves propelled them.
Air Hike: Vahn can jump into the air, pause by gatheringheat at the base of his feet, then spring-board off the gathered flames. This is tiring and takes a lot out of a person when used more than once in succession of the base jump. One must also be prepared to compensate for the fall that comes afterwards. During the pause, the user cannot perform other actions than the jump, or else the succession will be broken and they will fall back to the ground. Items Coin of Virtue: The reward recieved for participating in PoC, and defeating Amp. It gives him extra healing but at the cost of toning down some of his heated ablities for a while afterwards.
Calm Band: Perhaps in complete contrast to his personality, Vahn now had a strange band around his upper arm. For a very taxing amount of energy he would be able to stretch one second out into a ten second peroid to the point it seems like ten seconds.
Of course, you wouldn't be able to do anything that would take more than a second. It would be just like having a breather to make plans.
Gem of Friendship The dull red of it would spark as light hit it. It was a tiny carving in stone, refined with magic. At first glance it would be a tiny mask, ruby coloured. But look deeper and weaving around itself, was a dragon, trapped within the maze of the overall shape.

:sigh: I don't want to make a big scene about it, seriously... but you asked for a mod to make a call on it.
I spent weeks trying to get enough information out of the two of you and what was posted in the fight, as well as making suggestions for hard numbers to run off of that I tried to get both of you to agree to so I could make some sort of calculation.
Weeks trying to drag some sense and reason out of this vat of fantasy we're all in.
Questions left unanswered because you always changed the subject. Or went back to "the sword will make Vahn fall faster" regardless of what was said in responce.
Honestly, if back then you'd asked me to make a spot-call on who hit the ground first, the only real thing I would have needed to ask is "how far down is it". If it were anything more than what seemed reasonable, I'd have called it for Vahn because at that point it was strategy vs. dead weight... and I'm certain any of the other mods who looked at it the same way would have made the same call.
I'll happily delete my post in there, but you're going to have to work to change my mind on the outcome. I spent two weeks trying to decide how that end would come about without playing favorites, without magic anime elements, or a number of other things, and the whole time you never seemed to answer any of the questions I had about the situation, and never seemed to really care half as much as you do now that it's been decided that you lost.
What's up with that?

It boils down to two aspects:
Viper's psiology vs vahn's psiology
&
viper's e-c**k vs my e-c**k
whoever wins--- one will still b***h.
Although I will admit, I am TIRED OF THIS ******** BORING FIGHT.
Clash, this is the last time I do a favour for you.
Edit: I believe we should let a live studio audience decide, or dig up Moo and having actually say something if he isn't dead.
And I am not rolling dice to decide my fate.
