Zelyhon FanFicGuru Hello my lovely AGers. Alas, I have abandoned you yet again. I have come to alert any Fanime-goers that I am purging my anime collection at the swap meet on Thursday. See Listings HereIf you are interested in any of these DVDs/collections please let me know I would be happy to sell them to you. (Translation: FFG is far below his desired budget yet again this year and hopes to turn a quick buck the night before Fanime starts, lol) Anyways, hope you all are doing well. I'm getting ready for grad school and the like. Very stressful...and I have a mad case of senioritis. *sigh* Wow. Are you selling off your whole collection? That sounds like most of what you've got. I might be interested in GitS or both of them. I'm definitely interested in Mushishi. Yeah I'm selling off my whole collection except for the movies I have (Howl's Moving Castle, Castle of Cagliostro and a couple others) I realized over this past year that I really don't watch much anime anymore. I broke out Evangelion earlier this year and re-watched it for like the 70th time. Still entertaining, but honestly I don't watch it enough to make it worth taking up all the space in my room. That being said, the convention atmosphere is still a lot of fun and I could get things like wall scrolls and soundtracks and apparel. It's just that I'm moving more away from the whole amassing DVD sets collection and going more for the other stuff. btw how's law school coming along Zely?

Zelyhon Do you really think I'd wear a uniform that was only *one* color, no matter what that color was? What with that Fanime being over a year away, I can't guarantee anything, but I may have space for people to crash. Don't count on it at the moment, but let me know when you've got more details later and I can try to work something out with the parents. And Mushishi's the series pretty much everyone (who doesn't mind a slow, contemplative anime) really liked. It's a great show that you should check out.
And that'd be nice, though if you can't that's no big deal. Hotel rooms aren't so bad when you're sharing!

That's actually something I've never really understood. I mean, I have the same problem with having old series that I don't really watch/haven't watched in a long time, but I don't think I'd ever resell them. Sooner or later, the urge to rewatch will come to me, or I'll want to show it to someone and I'd regret having sold it, even if it did give some money in the short term. So, even though I've got a lot of space taken up by things I haven't seen in forever, I've never felt the urge to resell it. This actually goes almost double for video games, because I find it easier to sit down and play through an old RPG I've beaten several times, like Dark Cloud 2 (my current "want to replay but have too much stuff to get a chance to") than to sit down for a 26/52/399+ episode series. I mean, how many times have you rebought RPGs you've sold off? That's part of why I hold on to collecting things. That, and I'm just a packrat. XD Law school is...I don't know. We're right in the middle of finals at the moment. One down, four left. Contracts is on Friday, then Agency on Monday, Torts on Wednesday, and Property on the Friday of next week. Since I didn't do that well last semester, I've been trying to study and cram a lot more this time around to be able to make it through. It's pretty mentally draining, though. I think I've already done more studying for the finals than I did through all of undergrad. And it's still kicking my a**. The Civ. Pro exam on Monday I thought was fine, but I thought it was fine last semester too, so who really knows? I can't linger on it, at any rate, because there's no time for that. That's what summer will be for. Still no summer job, which is a little disappointing. I'll be trying to find *something* around San Jose, so I could stick that on my resume for next year, but I haven't had a lot of time or opportunity to look.

yYay for Rae Rae's job! I love shopping for professional clothes. Or at least business casual.
And this summer's gonna be fun. We just need to get through Anime Boston over Memorial Day weekend. That's going to be full of win.

Streamjumper Zelyhon Rae x Rae Zelyhon You're welcome? XD I'm glad about the job thing. Congrats!
Now we just need to get you a special forces uniform. It will be pink.
Since there's talk of Fanime too, I feel the need to mention that next summer, if I go to SFU, Rosa and I were talking about making the trip down together for it and sharing a room, since we'd both be coming from the same place and she thinks her parents would be more willing to let her go under the circumstances of having a friend and an excuse.
I ran this by Spider and he said it could be fun, so if it all happens, I might drag him down with me.
So... maybe we'll see you guys next year!
I'm kinda thinking of trying to tackle the cosplay I've always wanted to do, because I'm hoping by then to have lost a good 70-90 pounds and will finally feel comfortable doing it.
Hope you all have fun though. The only con I'll be going to is the one with Stream and Luna due to the need to save money away and spend the summer working.
@FFG: I wish I could buy some, but I'm not in the shiniest financial position ): I hope you make the money you need!

When she's out this way for Connecticon, Luna and I can show her some of it. On that note, I just found that ANN seems to have the dub up for viewing on their site. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/video/2178/So anyone who wants to check it out, go for it. I'd still possibly say Rae should wait to watch with Stream and Luna, as that sounds like fun, but that'll be a way to see the rest of the series afterwords.
