Though it was quickly followed up by the Rufflet's own hit ...the move tearing into her skin even deeper as blood would flow if it hadn't before. He was going to make it impossible for her to move ....impossible to kick him again as he flapped his wings to gain more distances. Hunkering down in defense of the next incoming attack as his eyes narrowed.

As the Rufflet's beak was tearing into her skin once again, Celeste couldn't fight back the tears anymore and she hated herself for it. She couldn't show fear, or pain... She needed to seem tough, but the pain was beyond anything she had ever experienced before. But she still refused to call out a pokemon. Yes, she was aware how foolish and stupid she was being, but her stubbornness was getting the best of her. She started this battle by herself and wanted to finish it that way. So she wiped her tears away, and went to kick the Rufflet again with her undamaged leg and put all the strength she could muster up into it, which was probably not a whole lot. [2/5]

It was true as the Rufflet easily redirected the attack, and then struck out all at the same time. This time, he would injury her good leg this time, make it harder still for her to get away. Make it harder for her to move ...as that beak would aim for her leg. It would snake out as quickly as any snake, and it would aim to cut deep.
This was quickly becoming a battle where Celeste might not have much of a choice in calling out another pokemon if she plan to protect the egg in her arms.

“Oh, no you don’t!” Celeste knew he was going for her good leg, which would make it impossible for her to run away. She wouldn’t let that happen, of course. Before he even had the chance to get too close to her leg, she tried to kick him again. If she missed again, she would have to consider calling out Artemis… Besides, she wouldn’t feel too guilty if anything bad happened to this Rufflet. [3/5]

The attack would catch him unprepared. A counter-attack ...he was sent upwards and then down again as he crashes into the ground in pain. Rolling back over to his feet, his eyes glaring as he went on the defensive once more. This was shaping up to be quite an interesting battle as the Rufflet eyes never once left hers ...he kept his eyes on her leg. Her weapon of choice. he only needed one more opening to make running form him impossible, but, that had taken the steam from him as he fought for breathe.

She couldn't fight the Rufflet anymore. She had lost a lot of blood and if anything should happen to her other leg, she would pretty much be stuck here, and knew she was close to fainting. It was time to let Artemis take charge of this battle. Celeste reached for her pokeball, and called out the Skarmory. ((I think since I called out a pokemon, that used up my attack turn?)) Finally, this was what he had been waiting for as he saw the steel type appear. A bird worth to fight as he spread his wings, but he didn't rush to attack instead he would seem to puff himself out more. His blood flowing quick and steadily as he seemed to be working himself up. He was growing in strength as he prepares himself for the charge that would be coming soon.
Eyes glowing with his own happiness at the thought. No, he would have lots of fun with this one as he used Work up.

Both birds had similar intentions: have fun. Of course, their definition of having fun meant tearing each other apart but to each his own, right? Not wanting to waste anytime, Artemis dashed towards the Rufflet, ready to dig her beak into her opponent... This could easily turn into a competition to see who's beak is more powerful. Tyson smirked a little as he watched his Deino avoid that body slam from the Growlithe. "Thats the way to do it!" He shouted as he started to think of what he wanted Deino to do now. He then watched the Growlithe get ready for a attack from Deino. "Earth Power!" He shouted.
Deino turned around to face the Growlithe. He then heard Tyson say a move. He nodded and got into a stance and started to shake the ground and tried for a Earth Power attack on the Growlithe.

THe Rufflet jumps backwards as he saw his new foe coming at him. A female, a maiden of steel, and his heart jumps with her movements. She was one that he wouldn't just defeat, but he would court and make her his. His forever and ever as he saw that beak that seemed to glitter like silver come at him ...seeking his blood, but oh he would denial her if at all possible. So that the game could last much longer.

The attack would catch her by surprise as the power of the earth rose up underneath her. Sending her up into the air ....twirling in the air as she would land a few feet from where she had once stood ...her body collapsing heavily. It took a moment for her to climb back to her feet as she looked enraged by what had happen. Her tail flicking from one side to another in rage.
She would charge forward once more with her attack, body slam.

(17-6) + (9-10) = 10dmg? The Skarmory had already found her one true love and no other pokemon could replace it. All she desired was blood, and she planned of getting it from this pokemon. She would make him bleed, all for her own amusement... And she would with this one attack. Just like Celeste's leg, Artemis' beak had cut deep across his side.
The blood on her beak was enough to keep her satisfied for now, so she waited patiently for her next turn, while waiting to dodge an attack that was sure to follow hers. Skarmory - Artemis

Tyson smirked a bit as Deino's attack had connected. He smiled a bit and then watched as the Growlithe got back up and ready to attack his Deino again. "Get ready for anything!" He shouted for his Deino.
Deino heard Tyson and got into a defense stance and waited for the Growlithe to attack. When the Growlithe attacked, he would try to dodge it, by jumping to the left.
