Rae x Rae Kimishibai As corny, and stupid as this sounds, just do what you feel would be best for you. It's scary moving to a new place, but the initial fear subsides when the excitement takes over. You'll do great and you'll be happy. And that's what's important. sweatdrop
You're long overdue for the happiness you've always deserved. It's weird. All of you guys (my highschool friends) are really supportive and saying I should do what I want and many are saying it might be really good for me.
All my college friends are trying to say I shouldn't and a couple are even pulling "So you're just going to ditch your friends?" guilt-trips confused
I filled out the application today, and am dropping by the registrar here tomorrow and Unatego on Thursday to request transcripts.
I think this would be really good for me. I've always wanted to break out a bit, get some city-life, have new experiences... but I've also always defaulted to playing it safe. It's time to try something.
The people who are guilt tripping you are just selfish and jealous that you know what you want to do with your life. We (your highschool friends) want to see you happy. We'll come visit you and we're always around to chat with biggrin

We'll come visit you and we're always around to chat with biggrin I know they're just concerned that I won't be happy, and that they'll miss me, but it's just making it harder. I'm already scared of leaving home. I'm going to have to anyway soonish, but this is making me re-realize that I am not staying here forever and don't want to. It pushed me a bit closer to what is inevitable if I want to have the things I've always wanted, like independence, city life, a place far away... I feel like trying to guilt me and scare me isn't fair because it's just going to make me miserable if I do go, and if I don't then I'm stuck here but not even because I actually want to be.
Of course, I still might not be accepted. Here's to hoping. I'm terrified of being rejected but Spider had a point when he told me I should think of it as something extra because it's not like I'm unhappy now and things are fine, so if I don't get in, nothing's wrong because nothing changes.

We were talking about that yesterday on LJ and hoping that if enough people tried to order it, they might actually take it seriously. HURRAH FOR DEMOCRACY. Or...whatever.
I wanna crawl in it.

Streamjumper LunaInverse Rae x Rae LunaInverse If you can't go, that's ok. Stream and I will try to have fun without you... crying Welcome back to the states. I want to go so badly! gonk If I can't afford it though, I'm going to make sure to make a trip down when Spider comes to visit, which hopefully will be either this summer if I get a full-time job at the company where my mom works, or ideally in September for my 21st birthday.
As fun as a con sounds, I think it would also sound really nice to be able to bring him with me to see you guys! Not to mention I'll have my license by then since I don't want to retake the permit test and they expire on your 21st birthday, meaning we could just drive down instead of me having to work out public transit, which can be almost impossible here sometimes since where I live is pretty small and out of the way.Even if you don't have your license, Stream and I wouldn't mind coming to pick you guys up. It's a little over a 3-hour trip one way. Not a huge deal. AG ROAD TRIP!!! I call shotgun! Fo' realz. I would have figured you'd call something a little more powerful than a shotgun, like a shoulder mounted missile launcher.

So, yesterday in property, we were discussing Zoning Regulations in regards to the aesthetics of a neighborhood. Before really getting into the cases, the class gets somewhat sidetracked by arguing with the professor whether or not there were objective standards of beauty and how then those might be considered in the case we had read for that day. Property's probably my favorite class, because it's an interesting subject, and the professor's very energetic and...it's a little hard to describe, honestly. There's just so much random funny things that get said in that class. There were a few from last time, but I don't have those notes with me right now.
Suffice to say, the professor spent a lot of time arguing that there was an objective notion of beauty that people lived by. Thus, I present my counterargument, in the form of my avatar.
