Not only that, but the developers should be tried and found guilty of scamming and false advertising. What is baffling is that the game actually found a small player base who is so blind to the concept that they can't see that the graphics, and gameplay suck.....not only that but the game's microtransaction system is taking them for complete and utter suckers. I would pity the idiots still playing that game but I think that they deserve whatever the game gives to them. People, just because a concept that sounds completely and utterly awesome, like an open world zombie survival game, doesn't mean that it is going to be executed well!

I want a game that actually REQUIRES you to do survival things, like hunt, get water, fight for your life, scavenge, keep warm, stay healthy, ALL THAT STUFF. So far the only game to nearly do that is DayZ... and thats a beta for the stand alone game and even then it isnt complete beccause the zombies arent the threat its the people. I know certain servers increase the zombie count but in a server I'd like it if you had to survive from the zombies, like increase the zombie count by like...3 times what it is and i think it'd be more stressful and enjoyable.

More than that, I actually want a game like that, but with Dinosaurs, ala Jurassic Park style. Seriously, no one has done that yet. Just make a non cannon Jurassic Park game where a corporation is trying to replicate Isla Sorna, your their cause your like a Park ranger or a tourist or some crap like that, have s**t go to hell, and make the goal to try and survive long enough to get off the island. One moment your trying to raid an abandoned science facility for supplies, the next you found yourself getting swamped by goddamn raptors! It would be awesome!!!

Thing is, I wouldn't want areas to have scripted sequences, I'd like whatever area there is to have randomized hazards! Like not even Raptors, at one point A T-Rex smashes through the wall and s**t comes tumbling down and the room is about to fall apart and you have to either loot as fast as you can or just get out right away. I understand that companies make the games good and all but sometimes they lack alot of what they SHOULD have. Instead to please the buyers they release it sooner thus making it not as great as it could have been. I think the next year companies should work on the SURVIVAL AND SCAVENGING genre... I know Tomb Raider was a "survival" game but it was more like Uncharted with the climbing and the shooting... I think maybe it should have had more priority of eating and finding water rather than. Killing the bad guys and making it around to reach your next point of destination.

I think we can both agree that the Survival Genre is an untapped goldmine ready to be perfected at any given moment. Many games have tried to pull it off and many games have failed, only ones that I can remember that succeeded in making a legitimate survival experience would be MGS3, and Minecraft. Especially Minecraft, that right there is the Survival Genre realized. You start out with nothing, you have to constantly find food, build shelter, fight off monsters, etc. Now just do that, but with either Zombies, Dinosaurs, and even Aliens (from the movie franchise).....then throw in some horror elements and if done perfectly executed, you pretty much have a game of the year on your hands. I don't know why companies find it so hard to achieve this.

Agreed

I'd say just do anything that keeps you entertained but doesn't require crew supervision, like a fight or training or something, but you already opened an easter egg so thats out the window. >.>

Life and death have one thing in common.

They are what you make of them. twisted

Belief in anything makes it real. Death of ones mortal coil's just the entrance exam into the depths of our imaginations.

Shame the majority of belief is painting such absolute notions of life after death.

Finished Bioshock Infinite. I am very, very pissed off at the ending. I'll be in my room, punching the wall. No calls. stare

I tried not to spoil it for you, but after you told me how much you liked the protagonist, I felt the intense urge to tell you! Well, now you know. It was great though, right?

Really? Don't spoil it for me but all I have been hearing is how awesome the ending is. They say it is one of the most conclusive and satisfying endings in years.

"They" is lying to you. I wouldn't say it was completely conclusive, or statisfying. It was more...surreal and thought-provoking than anything.

"They" being the various game critics found across the interwebz. Obviously the ending did something right if so many people like it.
