Great Tattooist Oni I hadn't noticed the hair, but good point. Everything else, though, is fairly accurate.

So I was reading this article on ANN about this 14-year old girl who took off with this 40-year old guy, and according to the report, are on their way from Oklahoma to California, and hitting a bunch of anime cons along the way, starting with Ikkicon in Texas.
And a bunch of the people commenting on the ANN forums seem more concerned about how this event will affect how people view anime fans.
What the hell? Where are these idiot's priorities? The guy used to be a family friend, so he obviously knew the girl somewhat. But still, they took off without telling this girl's parents, driving across the country. Sounds kind of sketchy to me.
Young girl's safety > public opinion of anime fans.

Apparently there's more to the story than just a young girl being kidnapped by a 40-year old guy. Seems these two have been robbing stores and breaking into houses, and stole a U-Haul that was being unloaded and driving it across the country. Whacked out stuff. She seems to be going along willingly with this guy, but still...she's only 14. Not that her age makes what she's doing any less illegal.

Valandra Harbinger of Pandamonium Zelyhon LunaInverse I suppose I shouldn't complain. It's been several years since I last had to go. But...dammit...I HATE Jury Duty!!! I kinda want to be on jury duty someday. It seems like, even if it's an inconvenience at times, like something that would be an interesting experience. Chances are I never will be. You can bet that in any case or action, one side or the other isn't going to want someone in the jury room who knows how to interpret law. XD Or watches CSI Perhaps I will be exempt from now on then. Though I watch Law and Order a bit more, um...religiously.... emo *Cough* Ahem, good luck Luna!
xd I just pulled a Jury Summons out of the mail box today. crying

Sadly, I can sympathize with you on this one. If they really are anything like your avy's, your eyes really are pretty; a blue shade?

The exact same thing happens in medical fields. Everyone thinks it's going to be like on TV. sweatdrop Hey Mala, have you read Franken-Fran? I think you'd enjoy that manga. >_> I haven't yet. D: I've seen pictures from it and I was reading a little about it recently... It definitely sounds like something I need to track down when I have the time. heart
