Zelyhon Bluh. Today was not a good day. First of all, class is starting again tomorrow, but there's not much I could do about that. Then there's the assigned reading that needed to be done for tomorrow, which would also normally be not a problem. Then there's the fact that I got my grades from the midterm. They were...not at all what I'd hoped for. For the most part, they're not terrible. With one (higher) exception, they range from C- to C+, so they're easily make-upable come finals, but going from getting good grades from barely trying in undergrad to getting mediocre-to-bad grades (because the grading scale in law school is odd, C+, not C, is passing) after trying pretty hard is disheartening. So, I'm in the Principles of Advocacy class this coming semester, whatever the hell that is. All they've really said about it in the past is that it's for those who didn't do so well on Fall exams to help them do better on Finals. This sucks for a couple different reasons, one of which is that I was looking forward to Criminal Law. Another is that I *really* don't want to be in the class for people who didn't do well on exams, but I know I need to be. So I'll be following the school's advice and taking the class. All in all, not a good day. At least the drive up wasn't bad. Aww, dang Zely, sorry your grades weren't so hot. DON'T BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! BELIEVE IN THE AG, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU!

Zelyhon I'd imagine that a week from today it'd be pretty exciting. Silly Zelly, new comic book day is Wednesday.

I don't even read Hetalia, and I think that's a bogus thing to happen.

However, it is still being distributed by online and cell phone services, so at least it'll be getting out. I'm willing to bet that the vicissitudes of the economy these days are more to blame than people in another nation petitioning that they don't want it aired. After all, the title is incredibly niche, even within the otaku market, and I'm willing to bet that the outrage of total non-consumers has relatively little to do with things here.

Well, yes, but it's still really ******** exasperating. And it's more likely than not that the station is shying away from causing more drama and making themselves a target. It's not JUST the petition; there are reports being made about Hetalia's "anti-Korean" position on Korean newschannels, and was talked about in a speech by a Korean congresswoman.

It's not JUST the petition; there are reports being made about Hetalia's "anti-Korean" position on Korean newschannels, and was talked about in a speech by a Korean congresswoman. It also has only about 16 thousand signatures. On a national level, that's miniscule, especially considering the populations of most East Asian countries. I think it is far more likely that it was a tiny factor mostly overshadowed by a relatively small market for that show and overall economic concerns. But definitely annoying, though raws will indeed make it out and it will almost certainly be subbed by someone.

(My school was so.. sweatdrop we were at the Vietnam Memorial for, like.. ten minutes. We drove past the Iwo Jima statue and they were like, "if you want pictures of it, take 'em through the windows!..)

Btw, I thought this was great: The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History was selling bath crystals made in MY tiny little middle-of-nowhere, rarely-heard-of college town xd

Yeah, I can see how going in a group that's doing its own thing would take away from the enjoyment. D: That's why I love traveling alone. It's much better to pick what interests you and spend as much time there as you like.
That's funny about the bath salts, though. xd
