I think it's a mistake. AND she's "forbidden" him to talk to me, so.... when they're together 24/7? There goes the friendship.Gah, suicide if he breaks up with her? Sounds like a winner. I know it's a sort of touchy subject, but when it comes to suicide, to me it's always a choice and nobody is to blame if someone chooses to take their own life. It might sound cold, which is why so many people let themselves be controlled by such threats of suicide... Anyways, sorry to hear about your friend. Hopefully he comes to his senses.

I know it's a sort of touchy subject, but when it comes to suicide, to me it's always a choice and nobody is to blame if someone chooses to take their own life. It might sound cold, which is why so many people let themselves be controlled by such threats of suicide... Anyways, sorry to hear about your friend. Hopefully he comes to his senses.
If she weren't using it as a threat constantly, I could understand the worry, but if she would use that to force him to stay with her, then she's abusive. If she would REALLY do it just to hurt him, then she needs some serious help anyway.
She insists that she is the only person in his life - he even told me last night that she's made him get rid of everyone off of his buddy list, it's just her. He doesn't have close friends in real life. He has me, and one other person besides her. He even said he knows he'll be unhappy.
What happens ten years down the road when he can't take it anymore, because she's the only person in his life and she doesn't treat him well, but he can't leave because of her threats?
I told him I think it's a mistake, that he won't be happy, that I would be so happy for him if he were getting married to a girl who has been good to him, and who won't turn everything into his fault, or force away tough situations by crying suicide.
Our past relationship doesn't really play that much a part. I care more that he's happy, than happy through me. I'm happy in my current relationship - very much so - and I want him to be happy in his too, because he has always been a great friend to me and he deserves something better. I just see this ending so badly.
Ugh. Why am I ALWAYS the one who has to have crazy womenpeople in the lives of people close to me? THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.

Zero's parents sent me a box full of cute - A Hello Kitty bag and purse, with the most adorable Hello Kitty Christmas card I've ever seen.

I didn't know if I should touch it or not... It looks like it's a friend of Spider's. Funny, i could swear that I checked the join request a few weeks a go and there was no one there. Guess it was longer.

When it comes to abusive relationships, the victim has to make the choice to leave. He may realize that something is very wrong with the relationship, but until he is ready to leave that relationship, you can't do anything. Just...let him know that you'll be there for him if he ever needs a friend.

And I hate that he knows he'll be unhappy, and has admitted some things to me, and yet probably still feels like he has no choice regardless and won't change his mind about it.
If it was just that they fought frequently, I wouldn't even care about that. But what she does... is just really not okay. It's not okay to aim to hurt someone like that.
It's one of those things where, even if all you can really do is try to be there and that's it, it really kills to see it happening.
The type of thing where you can't really accept that all you can do is be around even if you do know it, you know?
I think that, years from now, I will still look back and think I should have found a way to change something.
