Eulalia_Danae Sahaqiel (Has there been another Umbra in here while I was gone or something? rolleyes ) Umbra made one of his weak eye-smiles and nodded, bringing his hands up to cross them on his chest. He slowly started to back away from Erica, waving goodbye to her. ((I have no idea what he meant by that...unless he's confusing you with sightless)) Erica smiled and watched him go, wondering if he was scared or something. "acting like I'm a vampire or somehting....." She mumbled as she checked herself in the reflection of the refrigerator, just in case she was growing fangs, or had turned green.((Yeah, I thought that Umbra and Sightless were the same person...bah...oh well.. xd )) Lucidity walked back inside and wandered the HQ. He ran into Xeen and Erica and sighed. "Geeze...not in front of the baby...damn" He muttered with a grin, as he walked past them.

The Villian HQ remains, for the most part, undamaged by the storm, thanks to the helpful demons.
A tattered and beaten crow comes crashing through a stray window, crumpling on the ground. The body blurred, and slowly reformed into that of Baranar, albeit a little twisted about. He stood up, his robes heavy with water as he began trudging through the HQ, looking for Erica and Xeen.

Erica was still in the kitchen as she saw Baranar trudge in. She looked at his robes and handed him a paper towel. "There are such things as umbrellas, you know."

"To a crow, there is no such thing." He said quietly as he took the paper towel, attempting to dry his hair off, to no avail.
"I have grave matters of which I need speak. I have recently been to the mainland." He glared up at her. "Everyone is dead. I traveled long and far, and not a single human stirred."

"But other things did? Was there any sign of what killed them?"

Erica raised a brow, Lucid's prediction wasn't far off, even if it was meant for the weather. "Are you sure you weren't mistaken, Baranar?" She asked with a slight shard of hope.

"As I said, humans were no moving, but there was something else that did." Baranar walked over to a cabinet, pulling a hand towel out and starting on his hair.
"There was something else, something I've never seen before. They took the bodies of the humans, but not as a normal parasite, or undead. I did not know what to make of them, and I returned to the HQ, rather than risk my position be given." He tossed the towel to the side, squeegieng his hair out in the sink.
"After a while, they stopped going after animals, so that was a plus."

Erica sat up on the kitchen counter. "Sounds nice actually, something to fight, someone to kill."
She smiled, "I've been restless."
She picked up a spoon from the counter and used its reflection to bounce light around the walls. "So telll me Baranar, did they have any unifying marks? Or do all bipeds look the same through the eyes of a crow?"
