He pat Shyrae on the back in almost congradulatory fashion. "She's a dragon, language should come natural to her since her own base language is so complex that not even most elves understand it. And we get really really old." Tending to wrapping again, his tattooing was only done just before his elbow, he was getting the rest done when he went back to Andal later in their years when summer was around again. But another chuckle, "You just attract people so easily really. It's that great personality of yours." Elbowing her lightly with a wink. "He likes you."

And apparently this was just making people more happy with what she was doing. That was good. Thus commenced the choppy odd chattering, almost baby babble like really. Though pretty soon those were turning into other noises and then she went quiet and seemed to wait expectantly for something. Just sitting there quiet and still, watching.

"Well yes but we didn't know precisely what had happened to her to keep her from being able to speak in the first place. Sometimes these things can't be undone, Dhairiss. You should know that well enough what with all the animals you try to help." Caden got a grin and a kiss pressed to his cheek. "I know he does." Shyrae watched the dragon for a moment with a raised eyebrow. She wasn't quite sure what she sensed but it was something and she glanced around at the pirates and such. "What's your sister doing out there, Dhairiss?"

"I still say it's good progress." He said about the dragon before looking over to the elf and catching the sight of the markings on his arm for a moment. "You got a tattoo there as well? What's it mean?" Though a small tiny blush appeared on his face when the elf said to Shyrae that he liked her, but it grew at the sight of her grin and her lips pressing against his cheek. He believed that that was the closest he probably get with her, after all it's hard for an elf to be with a human. "Well it's hard not to." A blink though as the topic changed to Savvy, he looked around for a moment then back at the two elves. "Last I saw of her was on the other ship checking up on Jae." He was still thankful for the elf helping her, Jae would probably be dead now if it wasn't for Savvy.

"I'm just saying, it's a dragon's nature." Again, rolling those triple colored eyes as was his trademark of sorts. A breif look over to Caden as he was wrapping his arm back up. "Doesn't mean anything...just intricate lines really. It's not done yet, only halfway." And thusly at the mention of his sister, he looked out across the sands towards the back of the ships and past them. Yup, looked like she was crouched down in the sand doing something, before she got up with a hand out, finger pointing at the ground. "She found something buried out there...if it's deadish she's probably trying to raise it." A blink...wait...

Indeed she was tracing what she was feeling in the ground...not quite sure yet what it was, but it was something big and hey she wanted it. If anything, just to preoccupy herself with or play mismatch with its bones. After all, she had to have her own fun now didn't she? Thusly imploring her own necromantic powers to play with the dead. She knew something was dead under there.

Shyrae quited nearly immediately at the mention of Jae and Savvy. She still felt bad that she'd spazzed out the way she had and been unable to help at all. Without Savvy who knew what could have and probably would have happened. Then tney'd be burying a dragon and Kaz would have hated the very sight of her, none of which was pleasant. "She's raising things? Why?" Thus, moving closer to the rail, she peered out and then made her way down to the sands, standing next to Savvy with her hands shielding the sun. "What is it?"

Glad that Jae was finally giving in, he'd helped her up to the deck of the ship and to the side of the railing. Trading with the nomads apparently involved many and he watched Thobias, somewhat interested, argue with the men and exchanging words rapidly as if a second's hesitation would cost them a fortune. But turning eyes back to Jae for a moment, he rested a hand on her shoulder to get her attention. "Do you want some breakfast?"

Malik had concluded 'negotiations' and felt the power his daughter was calling forth. oh good lord what was she trying to do...before marching himself over there, and watching. he had a feeling something very, very big and winged was going to be coming out of the salt beds...but decided not to interrupt her just yet. besides, things being settled, he was probably going back home with his middle son soon.

Hunter was beside himself looking over the trade lists. how dare that dragoness do that! uppity, vain, pain in the a**!

"I'm going to kill her myself, I swear to the sands. leave her buried under the salt. for the love of the sea, six outfits at that price each! she didn't even try to get the price down!"

Mister Richards gave a slight chuckle.

"Teach you to scorn a dragoness. they hold grudges."

Hunter slammed down the list on his desk.

"Just get us repaired fully, and get us out of here before that woman decides she wants jewelry as well."

Desdemona was in her quarters on teh Claw, trying on outfits in front of a mirror, rather enjoying herself at the moment, and actually considering going to try for jewelry.

Fang nodded lightly.

"Alright then. come to my cabin here, and lets discuss what else they have up their sleeves that makes you think I can't handle two dragons and a woman's crew and the Hawk."

"Because she can? She's bored? She's weird?" Hey his sister was the brashest and yet could be the sweetest of all the D'vinn children, her blindess aside. But he shook his head as Shyrae went off to investigate...hell he wasn't going anywhere near there. He found it was just better to stay away when she was doing somthing like that.

"Don't know yet. Something big and dead though." Continuing in her little motions and walking before walking back to where she started and putting both hands out with palms down. Thusly to work with her, necromantic energy arcing between her hands before slithering into the ground. Cue earthquake like feeling in the immediate area and shifting of sands, the grains moving aside as whatever was under them was bringing itself up. And yes indeed in a matter of a few mintues, the large skeletal strucure thrust up through the sand, claws and wings splayed, fangs still sharp in a hollowed skull. Spines, horns, and blades riddled it's body speaking of it's age. It was a matter of brief motions to get the creature to still and even lower itself so she could reach out and touch it's skull, which was huge in itself compared to them all, even the ships. "Excellent...I don't have a dragon yet."

Humans were easy to get to agree if you knew how to get at them. A slight beat of wings to hop off the figure head and onto the deck, not caring what damage claws may be leaving as he followed the captain into his quarters. Worried about a fast one being pulled? Of course not, he was quite the old dragon. "Its simple really...they have a creature of which the likes you humans have never seen."

She was merely leaning against the railing, breathing in fresh yet salt tinged air. It was better than being below deck at the moment. She was still felling so drained and icky. "That's a question? You know my stomach wants to disagree with the logic that food makes it better. Besides, if I'm running a fever then I do need food." Giving a cough as it still seemed she had a little trouble breaking and her lungs were trying to clear themselves of whatever. "You can go see the nomads if you want...I won't make you babysit me. I'll be good." Obligation was not fun, despite how she may want him to stay close...but that was her selfish reasons.

"Daughter. you do realize that summoning that, and controlling it might be a bit different in terms of difficulty?"

A slight smirk at her, before taking a closer look at the dragon skeleton.

"So. think your dragon company will like this? it appears to be the big one in the murals. but of course without flesh or scale for the proper coloring, we can't be sure."

Fang turned to his dragon guest, settling back on his pillows crosslegged.

"You're talking about the little people that at our last encounter manipulated the weather to try and toss me into an abyss."

hey, you couldn't wave things around like that on a ship and not have a sailor like Fang not notice.

"what exactly are these little people, and why should they concern me?"

He pressed a hand to her forehead momentarily, feeling the lingering heat of a fever. "You're just in the last phases of one, I think, but you felt that warm last night too. I don't understand why it hasn't cleared up by now." Heading back downstairs though, he got her a bowl of soup and some fresh bread. Soup was always good for when someone was feeling sick, even if it was poison hopefully. "If you insist." Because she really had been in a way. "Just finish the food and if the wind gets to be too much, go back downstairs. I'll be back to check on you." Thus giving a flare of his wings, he landed down in the sands by Thobias and silently observed the methods of trading and such.

"Yes I know that. Practice makes perfect. And I personally don't care what they think really. It's not like it's going to be around all the time in all it's fun undead glory." Was that a hint of giddy in her voice? Of course. "What murals? Though a dragon is a dragon to me when it's like this." Turning a look to Shyrae with a smile, "Like it?" Taking out a dagger and sinking it into the bone before her, going out carving out a large splice of it.

"Yes those ones, with the various star things about them. They are called Laerethe...a race that long left this plane before even your grandparents thought about your parents." He hunkered down into a crouch of some sorts that was apparently comfortable for him, glancing around a moment at the rather morbid decor. "They should concern you because of their abilities. Males are master sions and the like, females are shapeshifters. Needless to say I don't have to give too much more explaining that that. On top of it they bring things and powers that no one else have. Threat in general to those whom are shall we say...deterrants to their cause and the like. Which means you."

See, she wasn't stupid...she knew where he wanted to be and it wasn't sitting on a ship taking care of her. With a sigh she merely sat herself down on the deck and curled her tail around herself, taking to eating what one could deem her breakfast. This was a horrible thing to say the least. Though grabbing one of the pirates, she had him go fetch her satchel from below and bring it back to her. She could sit around and invent all day to keep herself occupied...at least long as her mind could think clearly.

"Well it looks good, always thought of getting a tattoo myself but I don't know what to get really." Though a blink and he looked out onto the sands, indeed he did see Savvy and he raised an eyebrow. "Great she found something dead. That's nice to know." Though of what really? And did they need to find out that answer? So it seemed that Shyrae decided to be best to go take a look, oh well he wasn't going to follow anytime soon. "I say it's all three, no offense to your sister though." And so he decided that yes he would stay put and watch to see what she'll bring forth. Moments later they were staring at the skeleton of a dragon, well a skeleton with some clinging scales and maybe some skin. "What the hell is a dragon skeleton doing out here?"

Well, who would have actually thunk it? She'd been unsettled slightly as the ground began taking on life of its own beneath her but catching her balance relatively quickly, she'd merely begun gazing in awe at the skeleton. "A dragon. I think I do. I'm a little creeped out but that's normal when you're raising dead things. What are you going to do with it?" Rather interested now, she tentatively reached out and brushed her finger along one of the large ribs, shivering. "He's beautiful, isn't he?" Was it creepy that she thought that way? Yes, very much so.

"there are murals in the temple, depicting a dragon being put to death. big, and powerful. many of the blades and spine on this skeleton match the ones in the mural."

though a slight smirk.

"save me one of those chips. maybe the dragon types can give us a better idea as well as to how old this guy was when he died. get a sense of how long he's been under the ground, considering even with the salt preservatives he's decayed to bones."

Hunter got himself down form his ship, motioning over to Gem.

"We're almost finished on full repairs, and got most of your supplies as well. I take it Mister Robins is negotiating for food and water supplies now? and if you would, lock that dragoness in her quarters for the duration of our stay. damn woman bought several outfits on my tab and didn't even negotiate prices."

yes, a bit annoyed there.

"So they are powerful beings from outside the world. Their legends are known to me. however to find not only their presence, but two of them. leads me to wonder what exactly it is these shards are part of, and what they can do when assembled. It may turn out to be in my best interest to leave those two alone until they do what they need to, and then once the Laerethe have left, take them down then. So what incentive do I have that following your plan to deal with them will benefit myself?"

taking up his pipe, and putting his drug into it idly before setting it back down on the pillows.

"those who strive to touch the stars, oft fall upon a single straw. this statement is a truism that cannot be ignored. for all your grand plans, they might fail. and if they fail, ruin comes to those I imagine aligned with you. now you talk about these star children as great agents of power. this of course bring to question confidence in the claim that following your plan will actually get me something worthwhile, seeing as you have no such allies to counter them, I imagine."
