Linda Lee Danvers Remember not to post illegal content in the guild, folks. wink And with the FBI helping the MPAA right now, yeah that would be very bad.

So I hit the 72 minute mark. My thoughts? It's bad at all so far. Then again I seem to be more tolerant of Wolverine that a lot of people I've talk to. At least the Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. xp

I feel ashamed of myself, I just now watched the first Alina film, and that was pretty good for an old sci-fy film.

Irwin Schwab I feel ashamed of myself, I just now watched the first Alina film, and that was pretty good for an old sci-fy film. The second one is so much better. Not many notable cases of the sequel besting the original, but this is certainly one.

Not many notable cases of the sequel besting the original, but this is certainly one. I love both very much, but I've always seen the first to be the better film for several reasons, albiet it is 'less intersting'. And I don't consider Alien or Aliens as "old" in the sci-fi department. xd

A lot more action and excitement, but they didn't use character or plot as a vehicle for those things, which I'd call something of a rarity. Sigourney Weaver was fantastic in it as well.

I've always shied away from directly comparing Alien and Aliens because of how Scott and Cameron were trying to achieve very different things. Alien is this ambient horror film, where the xenomorph is this big scary boogeyman thing that is practically unkillable, and Cameron is all LETS KILL s**t WOO, and turns it into something a lot closer to a zombie flick. Cameron's even more of a whore than Scott is, so it's way less I guess artistically realized and far more camp, but that's what you'd expect from the guy who directed T2. Granted I still love the "they're in the room" scene, where they have the xenomorphs on radar or whatever and they're supposed to be in the same room as the humans when they're actually under the ******** Wolverine. It's Hollywood, they do not cater to comic book geeks and the idea that they should is getting rather moldy from where I'm sitting. At this point, I'd rather go off and see something new than just sit through all the same old stories I already know. If they make a version that looks tasty to me, I might have a bite, but it's no skin off my back if they don't.
