Hello I'm new to the guild. I have been plying the flute for five years. I sometimes hate the class I'm in because this guy who plays the flute only wants to talk and not work and he doesn't correct himself after he figures out the right fingering. I love playing the flute though and we already had our last concert for the year *sob*. Can't wait to explore the guild more.

finally other flutes i love band i made symphonic 1 in our band and i am so cheerful about it.there is symphonic1,2 then concert. i love band i wish all of school was band. wow that would get tiring holding up a flute for 8 hours oh well no math whee

We have ten flutes right now for concert band, but we only had four for the past marching season. Half of our section always seems to leave for colorguard or pit.

Well, I play the flute and I also play the clarinet but the flute is my main instrument. I have been playing the flute for 6 years. My section for concert band consists of two flutes(Me and my friend Shelley) And three clarinets(four if you count me).
I love playing my flute, I also play it for pep band and marching band, but I mainly conduct for pep band.
I love knowing there are so many people, even guys that play flute. I have only met one guy that plays flute, so that is cool to see a guy say he plays flute. biggrin

Woot woot flute! I'm section leader for concert band right now. Next year I'm going to Wind Ensemble though, wee!
Our flute section is pretty big too. It probably shouldn't be, but it's just so darn popular! whee

At my school we have 6 flutes in consert... our band teacher was lazy (and its his first year) so he did chairs alphabeticaly but let us challenge...
so I'm first chair/section leader...
and the girl next to me who is quiting annoys the crap out of me... she hates band... and she never practices... she even said it was embarrasing being called a band geek....
gosh I love being called a band geek... lol me and my friend who plays clarinet love to frolic around like idiots durring pep season... while singing the tunes in terrible out of tune marryment...... xd
