This sucked.
Nara Shikamori was never one to be interested much in medical ninjutsu, but this is one of the days in which he REALLY wished Yokou was with him when she's not. How did she do it again? Concentrate chakra to the palm... Hold it close to the wound to draw out the poison. His palm lit a pale glowing blue, and a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead, as he made his attempt.
Something told him that he was not doing it quite right...the chakra flow should be more controlled, more smooth...less raw chakra but more serene...pale green in colour. But still, bits of poison drew out though it wasn't quite it - this attempt may not be perfect but it was working! Until Shikamori managed to get as much poison out, until no more dark black liquid floated upwards to the bubble of chakra beneath his palm.
He said nothing else, and merely roughly grabbed Elruda's arm for sidealong Shunshin. In a puff of smoke, all three disappeared: to the village hospital. Though it was perhaps unwise to Shunshin with his chakra system so dangerously low, Shikamori could care less right now. Sakeme's life was at stake, and he was no damned medic.
Chakra Control (extracting the poison): 1d20 + 320 > 70 (success)
((Mission Concluded, exit to Hospital))

Marcus made the walk out to the badlands with no problem. They were right outside of town so it wouldn't be that hard of a walk for the kid but still it would be a decent pace. Marcus was walking quickly out to the field and soon just made a stop in the middle of no where.
"Hmmmm ok then, what do you know about chakra and the different attacks ninja can use? I'm sure you know at least a little about that right?"

Radnor trotted a little to catch up with the man and stopped as abruptly as he had, already on the defensive since his kunai attempt.
"I would guess I know the basics.... chakra is what we use to do jutsu's, I know there's ..... three major types of jutsu's I believe. This is why I was going to the academy, ya know?"

Marcus scratched his head, “Oh yea… well fine. Let me explain. Chakra is the basis of all life. It’s called different things by different cultures: Chi, Ki, Inner Strength, Energy, ect, but it’s all pretty much the same. Without it, you die. Its comprised of 3 things. Your body’s physical energy, your minds mental energy and your spiritual energy although that ones a bit harder to explain. These three energy’s get mixed and mashed in your core, normally around your stomach, and becomes chakra. It’s cool cause this energy is then distributed to the rest of your body through a system a lot like your circulatory system. It wraps around all the major organs to provide energy and such to them.”
He looked over and soon took a squat on the ground. “Now, for jutsu. Jutsu is basically another word for technique or ability. You, as a ninja, will learn to force your body to create extra chakra to power these abilities. And you’re right, there are 3 basic ones but there are a lot more. The first you have is Taijutsu which is basically any physical attack like punches and kicks and sword slashes and crap. Next is the type that got its name from Ninja and that’s Ninjutsu.”
The man began to shift a bit on the ground but, like earlier, he wasn’t actually moving a muscle except his hand. The ground was shifting below him. “And finally, Genjutsu. This is the type of jutsu that attacks the mind instead of the body. Within these three exist sub sets and other minor things and then there are a few separate sets but that’s for a different time. In the academy they’ll prooooobly teach you some ninjutsu and taijutsu as those are the basis of all ninja training..”
Marcus soon looked to the boy and soon moved his hands together quickly in hand signs and slamed them to the ground. The area around the boy’s feet would rise a bit and become hard as steel instead of the stone and sandy bits before. He motioned for the boy to sit down for a bit, ‘You’ll learn about handseals and their uses in the future. For now, just mimic what I show you. Lets get to the fun stuff shall we?”
Marcus raised his hands and performed 4 handsigns. He did them slowly so the boy could see them each in detail. And soon, 5 plumes of smoke appeared around him and there were 5 clones of him sitting next to him. He simply smiled to the boy as each of them started to move about a bit.
“This is the Bunshin no jutsu. It is the basic of the basic. It’s purpose is to confuse your opponent and give you a chance at an easier hit on them but be careful as they have no substance and can’t do much and if you touch one..” he poked the one closest to him and it vanished, ‘the thing goes up in smoke. But as you can see, its nearly impossible to tell me from them by the naked eye. Now you try.”
[[ For this training, what you want to do is get 5 successes with a DC of 15. You only get one roll per post so get to work. Also, I should be taking CP for all the jutsu I just used but since this is training, no one cares. And you don’t have to take CP while you train. It’s only when you do the jutsu for real that you pay.
Bunshin no Jutsu: This is a basic technique taught to ninja at an academy. In certain years, Ninja are required to know this jutsu in order to advance to the Genin level. Bunshin no Jutsu creates one or more clones of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these illusory clones will simply disappear if come into contact, thus, they are without substance, and cannot do anything to damage the opponent. Cp cost: 1 pt. per bunshin. Damage: N/A Requirements: Academy students learn it on the academy as a basic jutsu. Training days: Academy. Chakra control check DC: 5 per bunshin. Special: Can create 1 per 5 points in Chakra control. Up to 5 bunshin can be created. *The user assigns a number 1 through 6 to themselves and each of their clones indivudually. The attacker rolls a 6 sided die to see what they hit. The Intelligence check DC to see through an attacker's bunshin is the 1/2 the attacker's int mod + half the attacker's chk mod.]]

Radnor watched the man eagerly, taking careful note of the hand signs that he was using. Those four signs he attempted to burn into his memory.
He would take it slow on his first attempt, staring at his fingers to make sure he formed the signs as perfectly as he could remember. He was very aware that the man was watching him as he did this, but that never bothered him, he was used to people staring at him.
Radnor attempted his first jutsu "Bunshin no jutsu" Radnor muttered to himself, attempting to memorize the signs and the name of it.

((First attempt failed, total of 9, DC 15)) Radnor opened his eyes and saw that nothing happened. "Yay to fail the first attempt Radnor" He scolded himself for failing. However he was a tenacious kid and would not stop until he was successful.
He formed those four signs yet again. "Bunshin no Jutsu" He stated again, hoping that saying it would help him concentrate

((second attempt failed, total 14, DC 15)) Again?! Radnor sighed heavily, he felt that he had it, he was so sure he had it. Yet nothing showed up. Radnor bit his lip and in frustration slammed the signs together and hastily blurted "Bunshin no jutsu!"

((Third attempt failed, 11 vs 15 DC, though come to find out its just a straight d20 roll, no modifier, my bad))
With a grunt he attempted to calm himself and smooth the hand signs into one another, perhaps he was trying to hard. Perhaps he wasn't trying hard enough, he would get this figured out no matter what though. Once again his hands slipped into each sign as he remembered them.

((Success #1, 15 vs 15DC))
Radnor heard an echo of himself as he finished speaking the word Jutsu. He looked over and was staring at himself in astonishment. There was only one but he did not want to push the boundaries when he was learning his first jutsu. With a grin that would shame a demon, Radnor reached over and snickered as he poked his clone.
He snickered a little harder when the clone poofed away.
"Wow.... I got it. How many times do I need to do this again?"

Marcus had laid back along the ground and was looking up to the sky. His earphones were on and so loud to the point were you could hear them even over the loud winds of the Badlands. But for some mystery, Marcus was able to hear the boy and raised his hand, all fingers spread to show the number 5.
“You gotta feel the chakra with this jutsu. Move all your chakra at once through your entire body. That’s what you want to do to get this jutsu goin.”

Radnor grunted in acknowledgment, taking note that the man could still hear him with such loud music going on. Radnor still had that wicked little grin on his face as he attempted to create another clone.

Radnor blinked in surprise, he had popped out 4 clones this time. Apparently he had that one as close to perfect as one could get.
"Awesome! I got four of them!!"
Trying to keep up the fervor and build in self-esteem he went flying through the hand signs again.

Once again Radnor grinned wickedly. He had only been able to bring up one clone. But this was an improvement nonetheless. Only two more times to go. Something told him that his luck was most likely running short, but practice makes perfect, so he went through the hand signs again. This time he would stay silent, seeing no need to say the chant each time.

((Failed attempt, 2 vs 15DC)) Having started to lose his balance with his overeagerness, Radnor understood why the jutsu didn't work. He grunted his displeasure, took a deep breath to calm himself, then launched into the hand signs again.
