Though Celeste was still running the rufflet had gotten left far behind her. She was safe but for how long was a good question.

Deino watched as the growlithe had ran towards it, trying to attack it. Without hesitation, Tyson shouted, "JUMP........NOW!" As the growlithe got closer and closer. Deino did exactly what his trainer had said, and tried to jump out of the way of the attack.

[3/30] It was only once the Rufflet was far behind, and he had stopped following them anymore, that Celeste finally slowed down. She was completely out of breath, and slightly confused. The Rufflet had, in fact, killed Mazu... She saw it happen with her own eyes, but yet she was sure that Mazu was in this little egg. How did that happen? She figured she should probably not ask questions, or doubt what had just happened, and simply thank her lucky stars that Mazu was not dead. ((Not sure if I should include the running away attempts in the egg count, so I'll post that after 3nodding ))

She missed as the Deino jumped. Though an odd thing for such a awkward looking pokemon to do ....as she skids underneath him. Both of her front paws stretch before her as she tries to slow her skid. As she tries to make a stop ....but, still she couldn't her tail flying over her shoulder from such a change in motion ....as it finally came to a complete stop.
Her paws raw from the slide as she turns back around to face her opponent. Ears down, teeth bared. This Growlithe had failed ...her attack, and she wasn't happy as she turns to see whom would be coming at her again. Tail whipping out behind her as she moves slowly head down as she ready herself to dart away this time.

(Actually, the confusion is the 3/30 ......I take it that is suppose to be 3/10, which means you are going forward))
THough the girl had run pretty far, she had actually had to leave the floating land mass the bird had shared with her to escape. Though whether Celeste was going to go forward or backwards was up to her now. Considering she had other pokemon that could still battle ....as the sound of wings would flap behind her. The sound of something coming at her again ....as the same little Rufflet would rush after her.
It would seem she had only fled it for the moment. The small bird was doing his best to keep up, his beak still bloody as he rushes after her.

In the midst of catching her breath and trying to understand what had just happened, Celeste could hear the faint sound of wings flapping. Could it be that the Rufflet was still following her? Well, she wouldn't stand around to find out. Whatever pokemon it was, she had to run. She wasn't ready to battle again, and she was certainly not ready to face the Rufflet again. ((Oops, didn't even notice the "30"... Yeah, I meant to put "10"))

Though he had traveled far to catch her and he wasn't about to let her go ....as he swung out infront of her. He would slide to a stop before her ...wings thrust out ....for just one moment before he would lunge at her.
Beak aimed for her leg once more.
No, she wasn't going to get away. Not while he had the taste of blood on his beak, and she could still give him more.

After all the running she did just to get away, and the damn Rufflet was still able to catch up. Well, if he wanted to keep attacking her, she'd fight back... She waited until he got close enough, and swung her leg up. She wanted to kick him in the face, and maybe that could slow him down enough so that she could actually get away this time.

The pokemon was caught in the beak and surprised at the action. As he skidded back a bit and spit out blood from his maw. He had expected a pokemon and not a kick to the face as he smiles darkly. That was quite fine with him as he spread his feathers further apart which made him look like they were standing on end.
So, he was to fight the human.
That suited him just fine as he came forward again.

Today was certainly a day of firsts for Celeste... It was the first time she had killed a pokemon, the first time one of her own pokemon died, and also the first time she faced a pokemon head-on.
She had hoped the kick would be enough to slow him down so that she could get away again, but he was still coming at her. Fine then, she would just have to try harder. When he got closer, she attempted to kick him again, but this time in the stomach.

She would miss as that beak would cut her from leg to thigh .....as the pokemon came to a stop with a flush of wings. He would turn back around, and instead of attacking would actually put his feathers up in a defensive stances. He was watching to see what she did. IF she ran, he would chase her, if she attacked ..he now stood in a better position to defend himself as he looks at her with sharp eyes full of blood lust.
This was going to shape to be a very interesting battle.

Celeste could feel that beak of his cutting deep into her leg. It was extremely painful, and as much as she wanted to cry, she wouldn't. She refused to give him the satisfaction of knowing his attack hurt her a lot.
This would normally be when a trainer would call out a pokemon to help her, but Celeste was determined to get through this on her own. The Rufflet was her opponent, and she was going to continue down her path either by running away or knocking him out... But unfortunately for her, Celeste's only 'attack' consisted of kicking, and with one leg down, it would prove to be difficult to even do that. There was no element of surprise in this battle for the Rufflet... It was quite obvious what she was about to do when she started running/limping towards him, and she knew she was pathetic for even trying, but she took aim, and tried to kick him again in the stomach. [1/5 I'm guessing?]

It would hit this time ...as the pokemon flapped it's feathers as he was dropped his guard trying to catch his breathe at the same time. This was so new, a fight against a trainer ....as he shook himself all over and then came at her again. Head down, beak pose to hit as he would aim for the same leg he had cut. He would make it deeper, make it more painful so that she could no longer run away from him.

It was safe to say that Celeste was quite impressed with herself when she actually landed the kick... But she didnt have the time to give herself a pat on the back now that all she could do to avoid being attacked by the Rufflet was limp out of the way... But she wasnt about to give up just yet... She saw the Rufflet aiming for the same leg, and made a pathetic attempt to dodge it.
