((Its true that you could tell that Drake was lying but, your person could not tell what he is lying about, even if you were both talking about Zane, and about his past you could tell he is lying, but he could be lying in his thoughts about a completely different topic in his mind. In a sense you could tell he is lying about not know what about.))

((Let me ask you something: If you were the oldest living human on the face of the planet with nothing much to do in your spare time, being the appointed diplomat for a group that is, not to put too fine a point on it, the most uncivilized beings in the world, what would you do? Zattenai fills up his time by travelling. He doesn't use the roads often, and his abilities ensure that he's never followed. He's never actually 'met' most people, but he's seen them at one time or another, particularly the really powerful shinobi.))

Luo1304
Luo sighed as he could feel emotions rise and fall within the room. Putting a hand up to motion the ANBU to recede to the shadows of the room, the backed away. He found it a bit annoying that Toshiro would comment on matters he'd yet to deal with before his quick absence and absolving of his past position, but he let it go seeing as how the comment didn't strike him. Glancing back at the vest on his desk, Luo looked at Tares casually from a side glance, his peripherals on the guest. "Matsuya will earn the vest when he has earned respect within the mist 7. His temper is what hinders that aspect of his training. Teach him to cool it, and maybe I'll give it to him personally. Until then, it will remain in my office and guarded." Luo then stared at the guest in his room, more annoyed than angry with the man. "Sir, to threaten my shinobi is a direct threat on me. They're simply doing their job, but as you can see I've asked them to stand down at the moment. Who are you, and what is it exactly that you seek from me?" He then glanced at Drake and back at the guest. "And please don't hold peddlers in such high esteem as the former demon of the mist. He was as a brother to me, and I take offense to such statements." The man had gone through facial and body reconstruction which was unrecognizable by any shinobi other than he. He was afterall the best med-nin that lived at the time. And it was only him that could tell the difference. Not some obvious taijutsu specialist with muscles which protruded from every exposed skin surface.

((sorry Dr. whiteface, it just seems more than impossible that a man who's never even met Zane would know his nickname and know it was him under all the reconstructive surgery he went through. If Luo didn't even recognize him and he's known him for years, you certainly couldn't.))

Zattenai nodded. "Sorry, kid. I guess I got him a bit mixed up. Still... That's a pretty close vocal match. Ah, well. I'd like to talk to you about an alliance, but before I do there's two things I want to do. First, this..." He bit his thumb and performed a quick series of seals. "Summoning: Antares!" There was a small puff of smoke and a large red sword appeared in his hands. He placed it in front of him, holding on to it with one hand, and pointed at one of the ANBU. "Cut my head off."

The ANBU pointed at himself. "Yeah, you. I know you aren't deaf, kid." The ANBU shrugged and stepped forward, bringing his sword around in a fast arc that passed through Zattenai's neck. There was no blood, nor was there a mark on either his neck or on the sword. "If I were to try the same, it would have a similar effect. So long as I hold this sword no violent act will harm a living being within a hundred feet of me. That ought to assuage most of your worries. the rest will have to wait, since I will remain here until all shinobi have left the room except for you." After the ANBU had attacked him his slightly tipsy demeanor had vanished, replaced by a serious, business-like tone and stance. The sword, when examined closely, had no edge or for that matter even a proper bevel. It was clearly designed for either ceremonial purposes or for exactly the function it was currently fulfilling, as a maker of peace, whether those present wanted it or not.

Luo sighed to himself as he watched what he would call a parlor trick that proved to be somewhat useful. "You could have spared me the theatrics and just asked to speak with me alone. Harm or no harm, I think I'm capable of handling myself without my guards in the room." Waving them away once more, the door opened as shadows seemed to slink out of the darkness into men in ANBU gear that walked out, closing the door and standing on the other side. "Now. You said you seek an alliance. I do not see anything in your attire that affiliates you to any village. So I'm going to assume you are speaking on the behalf of an organization. Which one however, I do not know." Luo stared blankly at the man, his gaze falling once or twice on the blade with no edge. By the man's stature, small scars on visible body parts, and toughened skin, Luo could tell the man was more apt to hand to rand rather than ninjutsu.

Zattenai couldn't exactly 'see' what was going on, but he could tell by both the movement of the chakra signatures and the minor fluctuations in the severely restrained one before him that they were displeased, and probably sizing him up. "Don't forget the mask and my height. Now that everyone's out, or at least everyone who might try to stop me from talking, I can tell you who I represent. I know that your village has been attacked in the past, so I won't insult your intelligence by asking if you've ever heard of Akatsuki."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 06, 2009 2:29 pm

Luo stifled a few words about the organization while sitting in silence for a moment, remembering the day a few of them showed up and decided to wreak havoc. "What about the Akatsuki?" he said in a more monotone voice than anything else. He didn't even know the man's name, and here he was in his office, demanding Luo to actually remove his ANBU from the room. He didn't know the man from any sort of reputation, but Luo did admit to himself that the man had quite enough confidence to go about things the way he does.

Zattenai kept his hand on Antares as he walked over to the so recently-repaired window and looked out into the mists. "I represent them, or rather I represent myself and a compatriot who, unlike the rather violent and unstable members who attacked your village with so little abandon, see the wisdom in forging ties with villages instead of simply slaughtering everyone. If you accept our offer we will aid you in any inter-village disputes you happen to enter, so long as we may keep any Jinchuuriki we happen to find during the battles. Your own Jinchuuriki, naturally, would not be targeted unless they wished to have the demons removed. We would also be willing to exchange jutsu with your village. I, as you probably have deduced, am a specialist in Taijutsu, probably the strongest physical combatant on the face of the planet. My compatriot is a specialist in a different discipline, and I have some... 'friends' not among the villages or among the Akatsuki who may cover any jutsu you wish. We, in return for these services, would merely gain the aforesaid Jinchuuriki and perhaps a jutsu or two. I for one would be satisfied with the chance to spar with one of your ANBU, but to each his own, I suppose."

Zattenai did not turn around as he waited for the Mizukage's response, but did say one last thing: "And let me remind you that there is a reason I have summoned Antares. I do not wish to fight you or any of your shinobi."

Luo couldn't help but let out a deep, low chuckle which seemed to echo from his diaphragm slowly as he stared from his desk at his door, the man behind him. "It is a good thing you do not wish to fight my shinobi. They are ruthless and often headstrong in nature. But let me get this straight. You who has not even given me your name has marched into my country unannounced, forced me to send my men out of my own office, and then expect me to believe that forming an alliance with the barbarians who call themselves an organization, would be my best option? Pardon me if I don't seem to jump at the opportunity to partner with a man I hardly know, much less an organization I know all too well." Luo then paused for a moment, thinking to himself about a few things. "And this proposal of yours, how many other villages have you given this same request to, and how many have even agreed?"

Zattenai did not turn around, but continued to stare out the window, his voice unchanged in any slight. "We have finalized our negotiations with Likkys Hatake, the Lord Hokage, who has accepted our proposal. And my name is Zattenai Sibadaki. Do not attempt to remember it. I doubt you have studied the scrolls that mention me by name. But the title Sage of the Six Paths ought to recall something. Roku-niichan always was the talented one..."

((Yes, I did in fact just state that the Sage of the Six Paths was Zattenai Sibadaki's younger brother.))
PostPosted: Tue Oct 06, 2009 3:37 pm

Luo sighed as he looked at the pile of scrolls in the corner. "Well then, it seems kind of pointless to come asking me for an alliance if you are already allied with Konoha. They are at this present time our sole ally. I may feel inclined to call on your.....team for certain missions or warfare, but otherwise I think it's safe to say that I'll leave actually dealing with your group of unruly men on a daily basis to the hokage. If that is the extent of our alliance, then so be it. I will pay for your team to teach as well as pay for the scrolls you have.

LT and his unit waited outside patiently, just because they were outside the room, doesn't mean that they were not ready to fly in at a moments notice, he sent 3 of his group to go outside the office and come through the windows if anything happened. He put his sword away and folded his arms waiting, staring intently at the door.

Zattenai nodded and turned to the Mizukage, walking forward with an extended hand. "I dunno about what kinda customs you got here, but where I'm from a handshake's the most bindin' contract there is. Wanna shake on it?"

As Blade stepped into the hallway he spotted LT waiting outside as he adjusted his sunglasses, fastening his sword afterward. An insect crawled from underneath the door and up Blade's legs as he reached LT. "Well...it seems that our 'friend' is Akatsuki...and wants to form a sort of alliance with us..." Blade sighed. "Lets see how the Mizukage will handle this...the first Mizukage was used by Akatsuki and ended up dying at the hands of Noctis Zetsu...hopefully it won't happen to this one."
