Angilwingz I was actually thinking of sking the Beaters who they sent the bludgers at )if they get the questions right) and then deciding who on their own team they sent it at if they got it wrong.
I honestly don't think that's a bad idea. It's just role-playing. However, I'd say you choose who the Bludgers go at, and not the players. That way no one can say they were being picked at or something. Either way it won't matter because the points come from the team!
I also like Lyra's suggestion because it keeps it general and stuff. Either way, let's have fun with it, and post your totals so Adonis can get the stuff announced.
Prizes...we came up with a few...any other suggestions?

Lol. I'm only on series two..a little behind but it took the beaters a while to pm me and i didn't want to put up that no one answered. I guess I'll have to release series 3 and 4 together to catch up.

i have a question about classes; the beginning of term is in september right? but it doesn't seem like i can sign up for the elf course ... the thread is locked so i can't submit my request to join. How do i sign up for the elf class and is it even possible at this time?
Also, in the marauder's guide to RPing, it talks about the different styles. What if we prefer doing literate? Do we have to mark the actions instead of typing them as full sentences and marking dialogue?

Classes begin September 13th, yes. You can't sign up for the Elf Class because, it's an old thread and there is no teacher at the moment. As soon as a Teacher applies and is accepted (which is going on now) the Teacher will make a thread where you can post in. If no one applies to teach it this term then you will not have a class this term.
You can do literate. By actions do you mean the generator? Or the emotions? It doesn't matter really. You can still do both. However, if you would like to have a specific thread with your own ideas to r-p with and you want to set up a few guild-lines, then you can post here (or PM me or one of the other Mods but, try here first) about your ideas. The mods will either tell you it's okay or want to talk too the other Mods, so, it may take a few days before a response is given. I can tell you that if you follow the Rules of the HPGoG then you will almost always find that the thread will be accepted. However, there are several threads that are literate in the guild already and you should probably try them first.

oh okay that makes sense (that you can't sign up because there's no teacher) thank you :3 guess i'll wait to see if one appears!
and by actions i meant, as described in the marauder's guide, marking them like saying *lights the candle* or [[lights the candle]] rather than just saying she lit the candle and then have dialogue marked with quotations. I did see that there were literate RP threads; just wondering if, when he said we should mark are actions, we had to do that even in the literate RP threads, which i am assuming is no based on what you said. So i think that answers all of my questions :3 thank you!

No problem.
There are many ways to say *lights the candle*, in this guild. If you prefer to write it out, then hey it's up to you. However, others (including me) use the way it just typed, as well as other ways. You can always read through some of the older literate r-p's and see what everyone else did.

Specifically, the elf class is taught by me whenever I have time. However, twice I've had a mod teach it for me because I wasn't even on Gaia. I expect to teach it this upcoming term, but I'm not making the new thread just yet.

ok i was asked by avatar34 to post this here for some kind of contest idea or somethig so here it goes
i was talking to her about the hm and she asked if i would write an article and i said yes i also had an idea for an article i was going to write
i was going to get several people from each house and all the teachers and the staff and the mods and the house elves to give their favorite bands from several types of music then see if i could make a battle of the bands type of thing and write a article on the out come and the happenings of the contest of musical splendor
discuss among your selves im still willing to write the article if you do make a contest out of it but if not i can still ask the memebers and do the music article i wanted to do

I was told to post this Idea here...
the idea is this: Family Tree Search Services.
It is an Idea for a shop, to be like the Hogwarts ID Cards shop. The shop would help HPGOG members find out their family tree and create one for use here in the guild, I could even make it small enough to be posted in your signature.
If you like this idea please let me know.

Hm... I'm not sure how I feel about that idea. I mean, I don't think it's a BAD idea, but I don't know how many people would be interested in it. For me, Amber is a RP character I use CONSISTENTLY, and because I use her some many places, she is different depending on the] RP. For example: sometimes, she's got a brother and a sister, other times she's an only child. And I don't know if this quite makes sense, but because of that, I don't know if I be interested. And others may not because they already have made their only family tree for their characters and don't want another. You see what I mean?
But then again, it could also been fun to see who YOU come up with. And also, some people may want family trees but were never that creative. Or, they could ask you to make one, but with what they've already come up with for your their family tree.
Right now, because I don't know all the details you've planned out, and I don't know anyone else thinks about it, I'll just say this:
It's defiantly not an idea we should immediately dismiss. It's something we can think about and work on. C:
