Bathurst

Aurora did not let up with her attacks and kept the pressure on Ritt, even as he backed himself out of the hanger bay and into the corridor. Keeping care not to damage the ship or it’s crew she decided to end this fight sooner than latter. She felt him tug on her through the Force and decided to make her move. She brought her saber blade around to connect with his in a one handed attack as he drew her close. Her other was balled up into a fist, rocketed up aimed at Ritts gut.

"I'm right behind you you dumb mutt," Sonya muttered. "And as far as I know, Nakara never likes dirtying his hands. So I hope you are prepared for a fight. He loves using his pawns to fight for him. We're a janitor for his messes, like some maid to a spoiled brat."

She fingered her sabers, remembering full well what happened last time she got summoned, and the time before that, and before that.

Nakara descended down to the main arena, still disguised, but no less receptive to any changes in the area that might be concieved. Armed soldiers escorted him, although he was by far lacking any need for them. His glare was stern, as the 'president' of Nakara industries. He made his way to the echani, a smile creeping across his lips. Something seemed familiar about this scenario, but he couldn't quite place it. Was it the face? nah, he couldn't place it. Was it the atmosphere? no, it wasn't that either...

"People, your champion!" He announced. "You've proven yourself amongst a fierce set of competitors, in vehicles, witih partners, and in single combat. You do the Echani proud. Ready to claim the prize?"

~~~~~~~
Ritt watched the punch come, as his stomach relaxed. The close quarters fighting lent itself to getting hit, as he went for a strong slap across his padawan's face. He felt the impact; it's not like it wasn't there. The point was to show an example. The abdominals are perhaps some of the strongest in a pilot, having to put up with all the strains, even moreso than legs or arms. He was going to feel this later, but right now, he let the force flow through him and shoulder some of the blow.
"No room to move in the corridoor works both ways. it's also my weakpoint," he stated, barely able to do so without gasping out.
"Gladly."
With an explosive burst of Force granted speed, Pash dispatched the two nearest guards, his knife apearing in hand like magic, and he stabbed at Nakara's heart.
Five Punisher-class Corvettes sped across the planet at tree top level, above them thirty-six Buzzard starfighters prowled, scanning for ground defenses and airborne threats. Behind them republic ships and troop carriers were screaming down through the shield hole.
Ahead the land was swiftly giving way to an urban environment, the planet's capital city Dodecapolis. The ships weaved their way between the buildings. Ahead the headquarters building of the Body Calculus rose up from among the buildings.
In Bahl's headset a dozen different voices called out commands and their situation.
"Thirty seconds." "Set Countermeasures to automatic." "Heading for the north entrance." "Roof pad is clear." "We're getting some small arms fire from the deck." "Ten seconds. Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one."
With snap the offloading ramps dropped and Bahl rushed out onto the ground. He looked around and saw over a dozen other commandos rushing out alongside him, guns up. Ahead was a hatch, and a pair of Lyran guards. Blaster rounds hissed past, splintering ferocrete and scorching the gold paint of the corvette. With a rumble of repulsorlifts the boat lifted off and began an orbit.
Bahl lifted the ACP rifle to his shoulder and centered it on one of the Lyran soldiers. The amn stood clad in his silver armor, a blaster in hand, and a dim glowing shield emitting from his wrist, protecting his chest, pelvis, and arms. An energy shield? Frowning Bahl pulled the trigger.
The rifle barked, and three plasma sheathed slugs spat out its barrel at nine hundred meters a second. The plasma sheath sparked into non-existence as it impacted the shield, but the slugs themselves remained and continued on before impacting the armored sith trooper with over a thousand joules. It was enough to shatter the armored breastplate that had been meant to protect him, for thousands of years later stormtrooper armor was still unable to stop the two hundred joule impact of an arrow.
The other sith went down in a fury of ACP rounds from the other commandos. On his hud Bahl received a feed from one of the other commando teams. "Sniper team two in position. I've got some Givins heading toward Bahl's position. Looks like government guards." A crack echoed across the comm line, "Their suppressed."
"Try not to kill em, I don't want the republic pulling a dead civi clause on a couple of Givin guards."
"Roger."
"Seleene to Bahl, roof secure. We're heading down."
Bahl tapped his helmet, "Good job Seleene. All units move into the building, sweep by rooms. Remember we want the government officials alive. Avoid Givin casualties whenever possible. If they resist, do what you have too."
Nakara wasn't surprised. The knife hit square in teh chest, as Nakara grabbed the arm of the shadow, twisting it into an armlock. It might have been fatal, if it wasn't for the fact that shi'ido phsyiology was as amorphous as the rest of ther biology.
"You're fast, but you're too used to a person with normal anatomy," he stated, electrifying his hands.
While Nakara wasnt surprised, Pash certainly was.
His arm was twisted and Nakara started electrifying him.
While the pain was excruciating, his Shadow training kept him focused on the matter at hand.
A Guard's gun lept into Pash's free hand and he proceeded to empty the blaster into Nakara's smirking face.
Nakara's head tilted as the blasterbolt's heat singed his hair bolt after bolt.
"A Jedi. Assassin no less," he stated, grabbing the second hand as his knee wedged itself in the small of the back. "I haven't had the pleasure of killing your kind in a fair fight for quite some time. I don't intend to start now."
Nakara gave pash a strong push, drawing the knife from his chest with a left hand, and his lightwhip from his chest with his right.
"Perhaps you didn't know, but I had my heart replaced long ago. The war was terrible, but i did manage to have it moved to the other side," he said casually. The remaning guard levelled his carbine on the echani, firing away, as the ground's traps opened up.
The Push knocked Pash across the arena floor and he narrowly dodged a trap.
Leaping to his feet as Carbine fire passed by him, he dispatched the guard with a well thrown blaster pistol to the head.
Pash's knife tore itself from Nakara's hand and lept to his own. Clutching the weapon, Pash quickly weighed his options.
Nakara raised his arm in attack, as his wrist-chrono beeped. The whip cracked down, as one eye shifted over to stare at the message.
"Another time, Jedi," he said with a grin, as the shi'ido took a step right over to a pitfall, closing up behind him. He lifted a com to his mouth. "Volgen, if you want some prey, there's a jedi in this colosseum waiting for your bite. Security detail, make sure the only exit out is the hangar bay. Gas this place."
Above the building, it's roof began to shut, as the rays of the sun slowly diminished.
As soon as Republic ships descended into the hole in the planetary shields, a storm of turbolaser fire erupted from the ground, tearing apart the ships foolhardy enough to try and break through. As the hole widened, more and more ships managed to slip in, but only a few got past the continous barrage of energy. Then, as that region's shields failed altogether, larger ion cannons took aim at the larger ships in orbit, and opened fire...
After making sure that Siren and her entourage had in fact boarded the Avatar, Marr in the pilot seat in the cockpit, running his hands along the familiar controls. It had been weeks since he had been able to fly her himself, but it could have been a lifetime and he still would have remembered the control scheme.
As the ship left Lyra's atmosphere, Marr broadcasted a "white flag" code towards Demaia's fleet, and as soon as he was close enough, transmitted this message:
"Dark Lady Demaia Menaraev, Lady of the Sith, ruler of countless worlds, this is Marr Silvertongue on board the transport ship Avatar with your humble servant Lady Siren and her entourage. Lady Siren has spoken to me of your plans for the future of this galaxy, and I have come to an agreement with her concerning Lyra's alliance with your cause. However, your arrival here has been less than friendly, and I am requesting permission to come aboard so that we may discern what actions of mine have incurred your wrath. I am sure that with a lady of your great wisdom present, we can reach terms that will benefit the both of us."
Lucky leaned against the wall for a few moments, catching his breath and listening to the Republic transmissions broadcasted over the soldier-to-soldier comm system in his helmet. Zoe's wasn't working due to battle damage sustained to the helmet that the previous owner had experienced first hand, so he relayed the info to her.
"They've broken through the shields on Yag'Dhul. The forces there will give em' one hell of a fight, but as long as they hold spacial superiority, it'll only be a matter of time before the planet is taken..."
Jakar leaned against the rockface of the waterfall hangar until he noticed Marie leave the turbolift. He straightened and walked to her. "He's sending us to another planet during an invasion of this one?" Jakar asked, ignoring the slightly red color on Marie's face.
The defensive Ion Cannons shooting at the Republic Fleet were poorly fired and aimed.
Had the Fleet been positioned in a siege Orbit, they might have been in range of the planet defenses. As it stood, however, the 9th were holding a blockade orbit, which was further out from the planet and thus out of reach.
The Republic did take note of the fire, however, and proceeded to monitor the situation.
"Yag'Dhul is a part of Lyra now, and we're going to defend it as such," Marie said, hurrying over to her fighter. "Marr is doing what he can to stop hostilities from erupting with Demaia, I can only pray that he's successful."
She climbed up the ladder to the cockpit quickly, strapping herself in and putting on her helmet.
"Now get in and let's get to the Spectre. I have a present to give you before we get to Yag'Dhul."
Coruscant Nightlife
Melissa spun around with Randall to face the fiendishly cloaked figure as he removed his hood to reveal his face. She acted the part of on innocent by standard and stared wide-eyed as the blaster rifle leveled at her date while projecting calming emotions into Randall. The Zabrak babbling about the last time he and Randall had met and when the business end of his rifle pointed behind them Melissa pivoted on her heal.
She spun around, placing her back up against Randalls, the hilt of her un-lit lightsaber in a two-handed grip as she assumed a defensive fighting stance.
“Easy Randall,” She said soothing voice. “You’ve bested him once, you can do it again, just be at peace. Don’t worry about these two; I have your back captain.”
