S'up with the name change Clash? The Fierce Deity .....well, at least this place is never boring. > >; If you pit two egotistical maniacs in a fight the factor of boredom will never come into play until it comes to a point where either fighter refuses to admit that they're a b***h and drop dead. When we have 500 something participants, or more accurately 300 something or whatever the ******** it is now, the amusement spawned from bitching will never end. I see this as a lasting source of entertainment until Christmas if not even longer.

Jans Viper =/ Situations change Jello As do topics. I changed the topic to Godzilla, so we should all worship his green, scaley hide and stop arguing about all this stuff. The moment has passed, eh? Viper And its not a discussion when both of you are freaking out on me because you don't like what I'm doing. Technically I was 'freaking out' because you claimed some arbitrary immunity to things blowing up inside of you without citing a reason for it or providing one when questioned about it. Other than that I don't have a problem with your shoving... though I do dislike seeing the batteries already charged a post or two after "there's absolutely nothing left"... Viper As for the judge call thing... I've said it before that you shouldn't be arbitrating this one officially namely because we get in these spats often. But... ^^ Thank you, for a fair approximation of what the hell is going on. I may not like your character, I may think he's going off the deep end in terms of... well... everything... But I'm nothing if not professional. You were in the right there. Viper, not directed at me, Can you absorb fire and heat or do you just use it? He just uses it, like he said way back at the beginning when you started talking about fishhooks and whatnot. [edit] ...I think. I mean that's what he says, and I've never seen an instance of him absorbing anything... or so I thought. He obviously does 'drawing in', but I don't think he absorbs it. Though I do recall this one time where he sucked in a bunch of poison mist by making a vortex. Though that's sorta 'out there'... All in all I think not, but I can't know for sure. [/edit] Trei_Shouri Jello, when you get the chance, can I get a quick judgment call on my Shaggy fight? Just a quick what-you-see over PM's, for multiple reasons. Yeah, I'll take a glance at it. ::nod:: Kurashu Kidiku But as Jello just said, I didn't know what I was getting into. Had an idea...but, ya know. I've been roleplaying for two years this month, created this thing six(?) months ago, and my outlook on roleplaying evolves just about every day. If I could do this over, it'd be with less people and more limits. Things are narrowing down, though, and Jello's been doing s**t like this for a long time, so with a final word, respect his input and decisions. And the other mods', too. It was a noble effort... just that you didn't factor in the 'human' element. People have different styles based upon their groups. Some groups have characters that don't have many powers, some have characters that are likened to gods... skill is irrelevant in that part. Beyond that, within each group there are those that are more skilled and those that are less, though you really can't just shove them together and try to find out who is 'more skilled'. You take a master samurai and Agent Smith and stick them together: Smith will win, even if the samurai has more 'skill', because Smith had a gun and he can move like a blur. I've been RPing since roughly a week after I joined Gaia. I've only RPed on Gaia. I like RPing on Gaia for many reasons, one of them being the different cliques you find of RPers and how they do things in their groups. I like the variety, and how it mixes things up. However, because of that variety things tend to collide like a city bus going down a subway tunnel. Not pretty. Which is why, as anyone who's known me for a good deal of time can tell you, I've spent the last 2 years of my online life working towards encouraging people to accept other people's styles in smooth transition and compromise, rather than trying to force ideals on another person. I mean, some people in this tourney consider interrupt-posting as modding. That's one thing I've been trying to teach about since '04. ...rambling...

themightyjello Trei_Shouri Jello, when you get the chance, can I get a quick judgment call on my Shaggy fight? Just a quick what-you-see over PM's, for multiple reasons. Yeah, I'll take a glance at it. ::nod:: I'll give you what you want over PMs. However, for the sake of making a public spectacle: "My judgement is that your opponent really likes to hear himself talk. Really. And that he insists on needlessly long dramatics of just how badass he is despite it not really fitting the context, so looking over the fight is like flipping channels between some black-and-white monster movie with closeups of women screaming in terror just to accentuate the fact that it's supposed to be frightening, and the Ninja Turtles as they do colorful backflips and shout things like 'dude'." Also: Shagrath the Unholy Some might even call him an Omega class being. The numbers and letters meant nothing to him though. If it means nothing, why does he feel the need to mention it? Standard fare of "s**t man, I'm SO awesome, I don't even care how awesome I am, but you totally should. Worship. WORSHIP and fear me for I am that which makes the peoples fall down." By the by, who's alt is that? *Looks at Tac because Mindblaze was mentioned.* [edit] Nooooo... it's got to be VIPER. Shagrath the Unholy Shagrath had just created a small volcano in the middle of the arena. The magma is at an average depth of sixty feet below sea level and at seventy feet down and already being underground Shagrath had tapped a magma vein and "popped" it much like Trei and his bullet. Maybe there he was thinking 60 feet below the ocean floor in those really deep parts that have open thermal vents and such... but if magma was at a constant 60 feet below sea level then places like... Kansas... would be a lake of fire. Hell, New Orleans was underwater for a good while. See, there's your topsoil, your sediment, your base stuff, then you've got the clumped sticky stuff like clay, then various layers of differing types of stone, and so on until you get through the tectonic plates which float around on the gooey center of the earth. The world is actually a series of huge islands... sheets of stone with everything on top of them, floating on gooey gooey magma. Though you've got a long way to go before you tap that. 60 feet? No building would be able to go below a second-level basement. Jans Viper >_> Really? A mile? <_< You know what, shush! You're not allowed to talk any more Jello. >_> You can bite me what with your geological knowledge and crap.

Ninja Turtles... That's got to be one of the best classic cartoon opening sequences ever. In my opinion.
See how my opinion has nothing to do with anything that's actually being discussed?

Again, Viper, you seem to be forgoing the fact that you survive being exploded from the INSIDE, and can still do a gymanstic-esque kick flip off my own body.
At what point do you draw the line, and at what point can we stop shaking our heads in disbelief.
There's a fine line for what's acceptable but you seem wanton to dance 50 feet behind it regardless of whatever, merely using the "bring your strongest character" excuse.
I have managed to counter everything you threw at me and keep pace with you, while realistically taking damage and paying the price for fighting you as an "equal".
And not once have I aimed for 'soft spots', unless you count attacking your "engine" a soft spot, then I don't know ******** else is available for attack unless some weak spot opens up on your chest a la Contra.
IF I wanted to end this fight on my own terms and in my own time, as you so put it, I would have done several things differently, and would have definitely taken Vahn into his devil form where at least we could ahve traded blows on equal grounds.
Your telling me, I'm complaining simply because I don't like it--- when the entire point is--- I am speaking out against it because it should be impossible, with the amount of damage exchanged between both characters in the duration of the fight.
I never expected to kill Viper, but I figured if anything this should have at least incapicated the b*****d.
Go figure.
You say you can survive an explosion in your stomach, more power to you. I won't argue with that anymore.

Impact told me Tac was tired of Mindblaze, or the way he was playing him, or something. Anyone care to fill me in if you know more so I can quit waiting for one or the other to get online? And it was a good cause Clash, but people suck, generally. You need some way of instituting where the line is quite firmly before you do this sort of thing, because some people don't play powerful with the intention of winning; they play powerful because it makes for easy excuses as to why they are never willing to accept any detriment. Like so. But a good idea none the less. I'm very fond of trying to beat the odds, as your intention was for people to do. How I do at it, I wouldn't be able to say.

*rubs temples* Jello, Shaggy is Shaggy, the mention of Mindblaze comes from IC stuff that happened in a FFA guild. He didn't want to die to Mindblaze and he had no way to kill Mindblaze, so we set up a hellish symbiosis. My only demon is Jack Schitt, and thats just cause its amusing. XD
Fish, I've been trying to reply to our fight since you posted, like right freakin afterward, but my character just...annoys me. I'm too stubborn to just quit or throw the match at this point because then it'd kinda be like cheating you. "Oh, we went through all this but I think I'm just going to forfeit now." Yeah, no. >.>

Iiiiiiiii, I knew there was something else I wasn't noticing. No, not immunity, I'm just not going to blow up. Viper's hurt beyond all reason, you can tell from the bleeding.EDIT: Right, right, dropping it, stopping. ^^; ======================================================== As for Godzilla... Badass Badass Badass Retarded beyond all reason.

Thanks for posting Dreslin.
Vahn.
I love your post.
