I.. seriously.. am at a loss for words right now.
Do you even derive any fun from roleplaying?
What do you do on Gaia? Just rp with Tac?

Jans Viper >_> I was told we WEREN'T supposed to do that! By WHO? WHEN? On who's authority do they have a right to argue whether or not you want to play your character as if events are actually happening to him, rather than a series of out-of-time isolated incidents that apparently aren't canon? It's your choice whether or not to treat this as canon. If you do, don't skimp on it. If you don't, at least try to make a coherant 'alternate timeline' progression to it. Also, I second that question up there. Why do you RP? Is it because you like telling the story of a character, and like playing things out, for the value of entertainment like the whole thing was made for... or is it just so you can Man-of-Steel people and claim that it makes you the 'better' between the two of you because you won the fight on merit of your character being the nexus of all existence? Okay that one's a little harsh...

While I can see why you'd draw the connection between Viper and Superman Prime (he slept in the sun), I think S Prime would wipe the floor with Viper.

And no actually, I don't RP with Tac much any more.
Nor much on Gaia at all, because arguments like this happen.
=/ And by Clash, who else? I'm not saying its something hindering my roleplaying abilities, just that I was told we should go into each round at full strength with all our crap healed. Same as I was told that all the arenas exist seperately to avoid time constraints and everyone killing everyone. Same as I was told to use my most powerful characters despite the "fairness" of them.
And you know what? I do enjoy RPing. This tournament has been the most fun I've had in a while. Despite all the arguments, the nay-sayers, the bitching, the whining, and the moaning.
My stance on if Superman whatever can do who the hells care is... well, no, that just about covers it. I'm a Marvel fan, Supes can go die in a fire.
I love your post Vahn. You can sprout wings after burning your soul and saying you were out of power, said you could barely move but charged Viper and stabbed him with his own sword, then channeled the last of your energy (A term which I believe you used before) to use another energy attack.
So, what?
"..."
Oh no, my opponent's such a munch, he can push off me (which would be impossible, especially seeing as he was above you) and use one little technique.
Well I'm sorry, you put yourself that close to him in the first place. Deal with it.
Last thing, ******** off Jello. I've said it once and I'll say it again, I... really... don't... care... Vahn could have had Viper beaten twice-over, but if he insists on continuing it so do ******** I. I'm not just going to roll over like you're used to people doing in your precious structured RPs. Not with any of my characters, not while they still have the smallest iota of power or tricks or intelligence left in them, and certainly not with my oldest character, the one who is more likely to have answers to problems than any of my other characters and probably more than most of them combined.

If you read carefully, you'd see that the 'wings' were the manifestation of what he had left, and came from where he wore each item he carried on his person because that 'energy' is from the destruction of the items and a parting gift if you will.
The wings have appeared before when he was close to death in several other instances, so there is established precedence. The WINGS are what gave Vahn lift and movement, he did not have to WALK on air, nor SWIM through air, his body was moved INDEPENDENTLY OF ANYTHING SUCH AS HIS LEGS OR ARMS. He did not do the broadway version of riverdance to meet you SIR.
All he had to do was HOLD THE SWORD after removing it from his SIDE. The wings then channeled from FLIGHT to destructive potential the closer he GOT to Viper, finally culminating in the stabbing and folow-up small explosion INSIDE YOUR GODDAMNED STOMACH.
Now you on the other hand, run on near--- no, ******** that lol, you have unlimited energy no matter what is done to you.
You've just pretended to get hurt and go along with the flow for the entire fight, but you've just basically power-gamed everything.
This is like the retarded lost episode of Dragon Ball GT or something, and quite frankly I'm pretty tired of it already.
You may have had fun but this annoyance is just about over for me and several other people.
And you know what--- removing yourself from the IMPALEMENT on your own goddamned vampire sword and pushing off me to gain more lift--- yea, it should be impossible, even for the amazing Viper.
And surviving the explosion in your body, simply because your "made of the same special chocalate on the outside" is just as ******** stupid as your "amazing skill of swordsmanship and dodging" that you used in a previous post.

Oh, I'm sorry. I should have taken the time and effort to choregraph what was basically a pretty way of saying "Vahn, I'll get hit by most of your attack."
And in case you MISSED it, I told you back on page three that aiming for soft-spots and the like wouldn't work. =/ So cry me a river.
There's a difference unlimited energy and having a lot of it, you're still under the impression that its limitless because you decided you wanted to end it on your time. My fault entirely, I should have done things differently instead of you know, treating you like an equal.
Your entire basis for being able to do the crap you do is precedence, and you know what? I'm fine with that, I never really minded much or I would have brought it up when it happened. But lets not forget that just because you don't like something about my character, or the way I operate, and you do bring it up it doesn't make you right.
So Vahn, to review... if you don't like it, tough. Do something about it. Pull out another trick, grab the sword, or his foot, or whatever. Just stop bitching at me because IN THE END it comes right down to you could have won simply by letting Viper drop, but you didn't. You wanted to keep going, so I kept going.

Jans Viper =/ And by Clash, who else? Forgive me, but Clash had no idea what he was getting into when he decided to make a bomb shaped like Pooh-bear that's activated by hugs. Jans Viper Last thing, ******** off Jello. I've said it once and I'll say it again, I... really... don't... care... Care about what? Casual conversation? The topic came up, you think I'm not going to want to ask a question. I don't know what it is that you're not caring about, and I don't really care. I care about your reason for RPing, because that, among other things, guages your level on the respect-o-meter. Jans Viper There's a difference unlimited energy and having a lot of it, you're still under the impression that its limitless because you decided you wanted to end it on your time. Nah, I'm fairly certain it was this stuff. Though maybe you just weren't getting the point across properly. Yeah, there's a difference between 'a lot' and 'unlimited'. Mainly that in the 'unlimited' scenario you can't really ever run out. Like how you seem to be able to recover from 'nothing' to 'air hike' in a second or two, and will supposedly get to 'teleport' in another ten. It's like saying there's a difference between "can take a lot of punishment" and Wolverine. In the first scenario things can go on for a while, but eventually they will end because there is a definate limit. In the second scenario there is no end to it as long as the amount used doesn't exceed the abnormally high rate of recovery. Jans Viper Well damn, this was a problem. [...] Viper completely and utterly out of gas [...] [...]he couldn't fly, he couldn't levitate, he couldn't even air-walk in this state.

=/ Situations change Jello, Viper's Air Walk can't 180 him. If he's falling, the only thing he could do was go down. If he goes up, he can go up. Its a limited ability that I first used in a pirate RP of all things, that I first compared to the Air Walk from the MMX series.
And its not a discussion when both of you are freaking out on me because you don't like what I'm doing.
As for the judge call thing... I've said it before that you shouldn't be arbitrating this one officially namely because we get in these spats often. But... ^^ Thank you, for a fair approximation of what the hell is going on.
As for the sword, the damage largely depends on what Vahn does. He's free to try and further eviserate Viper.
-Yes there is a bigass gaping wound there -Yes Viper is really hurt. He just doesn't show it as obviously as other. That little bit of blood means he's too hurt to control his bodily functions. -No he doesn't evacuate or have other bodily functions besides pain and damage to control. >_> -No the sword is sharp but not epic-level, because that form is pretty useless. -Yes it (obviously) still cuts Viper. -Yes he can only Air Walk once per jump, if Vahn sprouts wings and flies Viper will lose. -No the author has no idea what Vahn can do. (The exception being that post where he told that guy to take his God back and used the Reverse Landmine to wreck him, that was cool.)
Speaking of which... I've two questions for Vahn that I'd like to keep seperate from other stuff.
I'm curious why none of your big attacks came out in the rising action of the fight. >_> I mean, I only saw Mirage Kick, One-Inch Heat, and the big one.
Can you absorb fire and heat or do you just use it?

Jello, when you get the chance, can I get a quick judgment call on my Shaggy fight? Just a quick what-you-see over PM's, for multiple reasons.

themightyjello I'd like to see somebody wander into the next round fights with an arm in a sling and two black eyes. Rivven was going to follow into Quin's matches in roughly whatever condition he got out of his fights in. He heals rapidly, but doesn't regenerate. And by rapidly, I mean next to normal humans, like sleeping off his wounds over a week or two. Never done a day, not even for comparatively lesser things. But Quin's out now, and BA has frozen, perhaps permanantly, so none of that is actually going to be RP'ed and he might yet be put to retire after this tourney. For certainty he will if BA doesn't find reason to get back on its feet.

I don't remember saying "YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE INJURED WHEN YOU GO INTO YOUR NEXT MATCH", and if I did, I take it back. The infirmary was put there there so people can heal broken arms and stuff if they want, but if you want to show some humility and go into your next match with carried-over injuries, by all means, do. This is supposed to be canon...if you want it to be, or to a degree, or whatever the ******** also wasn't my intention for people to just godmode and throw fairness out the window. I said bring your most powerful character, and figured that the people with true skill would be able to outsmart those who secretly suck at roleplaying but make up for it by chocking their character full of powers and just trying to obliterate everything. In fact, Ertai was one of the powerful dudes I had in mind, and I was waiting for him to be defeated by someone with real skill so that this could be proven. But as Jello just said, I didn't know what I was getting into. Had an idea...but, ya know. I've been roleplaying for two years this month, created this thing six(?) months ago, and my outlook on roleplaying evolves just about every day.
If I could do this over, it'd be with less people and more limits. Things are narrowing down, though, and Jello's been doing s**t like this for a long time, so with a final word, respect his input and decisions. And the other mods', too.
