It was. I mean, I've had dogs and coyotes run in front of me(and the occasional owl), but never at the speed I was traveling.

I I had just slowed down for someone to turn off at the Stater bros parking lot, and was speeding up to continue with traffic that was moving as the light turned green, and I was a hundred yards off from the intersection.
Just as I was going thru, the car in the other lane just past the intersection stopped.
I had seen the dog just as I passed thru the crosswalk and slammed on my breaks.
I wasn't sure if I would stop in time, this all happened within seconds.

I was reminded of what happened when I living in Norwalk as a kid, I had seen a neighbors cat hit and killed on the hwy in front of the trailer park I used to live in.

Which is why I can never see any harm done to animals.
I can watch all the gross internet memes and not be bothered, but animal cruelty/mutilation I can stomach. cry

But like you, I was afraid I'd see it killed. Or worst be the one that dealt the poor animal his death card. crying

As for the NPC talk. I like Dr. Singh as well. Merdith is well and good for the librarian look which has it's place.
I'm personally in favour with Moria, with looks anyways. That's on the female side of things.
On the male side, I like Edmund. Especially with the recent manga with him throwing the rose and saying, "Prom. Wear something tight."
Him and Louis.

And Johnny, for the fact that he goes commando, which I find hot, and hilarious at the same time.

Why doesn't my bookstore have a boxset of Chronicles of Narnia? Before they started making the live-action movies, they always had at least one. Then again, maybe it was the same one and nobody ever bought it...

Goddammit, I listen to ONE Wicked song once in my life and I get it stuck in my head for the entire day. And start making up ethanol-related lyrics to it.

********. I feel AWFUL, but I'm gonna cut one of my pianists from the concert. She's a sweet person, but the performance is in 2 weeks and I need someone more experienced. This is the second rehearsal and she's really having trouble sight-reading, even though she's had the music for a week; I honestly don't think she will pull it together by June. If I had 3 months, I'd be patient, but I don't, and I am concerned.

I feel like a jackass when I hover over her shoulder and tell her, "Can you do it like this?" then sit down and play it perfectly.

I need to figure out how to break the news... The worst part is, my friend wants to cut her from his piece too. God, this is so shitty of both of us, but she really wasn't what either of us expected.
