My friend is freaking out on me about Wal-mart. And because she didn't seem to be thinking about everything, I did mention in our conversation that if Walmart went out of business, tens to hundreds of thousands of people would be out of jobs and that they may not all be able to find new ones.
To which her response was "Well they can just get another job and they'll be happier there anyway!" and how I clearly don't know enough.
I'm not sure if she's never tried to get a job or just got lucky or what, but when so much news and chaos is going around about the decreasing job market, I'm not sure what on earth makes her think that everyone can easily lose their job, whether it's shitty or not. I will never be one to say "Oh yeah, I agree with Walmart's policies!" but there would be some bad things that came out of a complete disappearance from the market. Whether or not the good outweighs the bad is a matter of perspective, but bad things would happen. She refuses to admit this whatsoever.
I do enjoy the fact that she has a purpose and goal, but the way she shoves it at me and ignores anything I say annoys the hell out of me. I have to listen to her tell me I can't go here or there, but I can't even get out an "I can't eat if we go to McDonalds, I'm on a diet" she goes off on how I'm trying to pass judgment on her for eating there and saying she's fat >>;

Chrysant Great Tattooist Oni MegamanPsy What drama? There's no one here anymore for such a thing to exist. The vast majority of the AG now is just five people making a few pages a week. And three of those five are one person's mule.And all of those people are Phoe. :O So the whole time it's been Phoe speaking to himself?! I'm secretly Phoe?!!!! O_O

With Walmart out of the picture, other stores(assuming they didn't die of the same plague that killed the beast that is Wally Mart) would rise to the occasion and take it's nitch in society... that or we can always start the bread lines again. sweatdrop

Like I said, whether the good outweighs the bad is a matter of perspective.
Ideally I think I'd rather they stay in business but completely turn around some of their more disturbing policies, rules, and practices. I worry about the job market already. I don't even want to know how the effects of a disappearance would pan out.
((If I have trouble finding a job, I'll come work for you, bby wink ))

Great Tattooist Oni Aeremonster The gator has risen, the Gator will rise again. *waves frantically* Hello everyone. *Waves back* surprised 8D Hello Oni. And I have come back, due to my gaia being once again, discovered. But, wow most of the users here are kinda a-wall? That's news to me. Oh I remember the days where Kinetic would back log, and Steam would pass his oh-so wise words of wisdom. And when Mala would show us her wonderful avatar changes; the red X of doom. I guess its time to liven up the place a bit? I say we re-decorate.

We've mostly been chatting, making jokes, talking about our crazy lives, the usual stuff. So feel free to stop by and say hi whenever you want. s**t, throw in Phoe's and we have enough to populate a forum.

Dad. You are 51. Please learn to work your ******** alarm.
And, for the record, since you always tell me to wake you up at 6:40, when I wake you up, it is 6:40. Stop asking.
