Same here! 4 YEARS! YEAH! I just started working on Picc a few weeks ago. I already have a lot of the range I have on the flute. Tip: Never try to play high, high G on the picc without serious earplugs.

Tip: Never try to play high, high G on the picc without serious earplugs. Lol I marched picc this year, and in our show, my part went up to a high Ab! It was a very shrill....not fun on the ears.

i've gone up to the highest c you can play on flute on picc. and it wasn't that bad.... but I am always on the right of the picc.s so I am used to hearing other people play too. marching band rocks! we got 1st at states and 3rd at nationals! woot! piccolos and flutes rule!

i made marching band!!!
i haven't been in band since 6th grade (that's when i started flute) cuz i was an orch dork. xD
and so i made marching band!! so happy! xD
o.O i can make it up to C# on flute and picc....
ooh my picc is awsome! it's very perty! it's a wooden roy seamon! yup yup!

KitoYasha I just got my flute repaired and she's acting all wongy again, refusing to play anything higher than third octave C#, no matter how softly or harshly I blow. =/ And the week of the band competition, too!
At least my tone's better for the other notes. =/ Hmm.. are you screws tightened? When my flute couldn't reach the higher notes it turned out that my screws were loose.

Hey...... I play flute too! It's awsome. Flute's really are awsome and I love them to death, but goodness they're annoying. But I love my entire section to death, especially during marching band when three of us march piccolo. We have the most awsomest piccolo section. It's fabulous... My flute's an old evil smelly piece of crap, so I use my dear piccolo mate's. Whenever she's playing piccolo I'm playing flute, and then likewise, and hers is gorgeous. It's silver with a gold lip plate and gold keys (open-holed). I'm kinda working my way up to getting a new flute this year... Well, this is my first post here... Sorry for ranting.

Hello!! GRR!!! I just got a HUGE HUGE HUGE dent in my flute!(middle joint, grr) And it wasn't even my fault! My friend was twirling it around like a baton, andd BOOM! it crashed into the music stand. crying I'm friends with like 90% of the flute section. (only 2 I'm not friends with) heh.

The only reason our last chair flute player gets to play it is because her mom runs the band program...Its really stupid, and the girl trying out for drum major next year. xp xp xp

OH HELLOOO! I haven't been here in a while, lots has changed, found the girl of my dreams and she is in our section isn't that cooL? (sorry Im a nerd) I do like picc, and I want to play it in marching band when I get to be a Junior (2years people 2years!) YEAHHH!!!!
