Jackie-senpai Zelyhon ERA718 I finally caved...I brought world of warcraft. Well, it's been nice knowing you. You know, sadly that actually HAS been my experience with anyone who's ever played that game...They now have to schedule things around WoW. .....Which is why I'm just going to avoid MMORPG's entirely.

Proof that not everyone is susceptible to its charm? My boyfriend said it was boring, and he really only played it a few times at a friend's house but yeah... I'll fully admit that I get addicted to things pretty easily, so it'd be best for me to just avoid something like that all together.

I've never been a fan of computer games (console games, on the other hand...LOL), so getting addicted to WoW or other MMORPGs was never an issue for me. But I remember going to my gaming group one night, and the entire table getting derailed for about an hour discussing things on Everquest....except for me. I almost fell asleep. xd

LunaInverse I've never been a fan of computer games (console games, on the other hand...LOL), so getting addicted to WoW or other MMORPGs was never an issue for me. But I remember going to my gaming group one night, and the entire table getting derailed for about an hour discussing things on Everquest....except for me. I almost fell asleep. xd In a certain group of friends, only one other person and I are the only ones who don't play WoW (or any other MMOs unless you count coming to Gaia just to talk to people on message boards and be poor.) When the WoW discussion gets hot, heavy and inscrutable to us we tend to discuss the 'real' versions of whatever we know from WoW since we have hobbies like that - real leatherworking, real sewing, real fencing, real archery, real crafting, real cooking - etc. (He's the one who really knows them all, I've done maybe five hours of archery and absolutely no fencing or leatherworking. xd )
