She smiles strangely, slightly embarrassed, but also darkly, as she sips her chocolate. "That is a story for another day. Though I have traveled far, I think it is not far enough and I think I may be found out if I tell that tale now. But if you would like a story, I'm obliged to offer you one in exchange for your hospitality. Perhaps a warm place to sleep and whatever food you would be willing to spare." She settles herself by the fire. "But I see it is getting late, and I am tired as well. That story, as well, can wait."
-- Lady Lazarus
"Oh, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable," he replies while scratching the back of his head, "and I don't mind if you stay for the night. I'll start cooking while you rest, or you can use the bathroom if you'd like. Did you have anything in mind to eat?" He walks over to the kitchen and starts preparing the knives for cooking and the plates and utensils for his newly found guest to use.

”I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun I must confess that I feel like a monster”
((Yes, do emotion_dowant Colllide, Comatose and Awake are their last 3 albums in that order, then before those they had Alien Youth which I didn't like as much, but who knows, you might like it, then before that there was Ardent Worship which I haven't really listened to; before that Invincible which I think has a few good songs, among which the title track, but it's been a while since I listened to any of that; and before that 2 more albums that I don't really recall sweatdrop They're supposed to have a new album out early 2013 too! whee From Wikipedia:
On June 21, 2011 John posted to his Twitter account that the band rehearsed new music for the first time and that they are getting ready for a new album.[34] At a question and answer session before a concert, John Cooper said that they would be recording a new record in January/February 2012. However, the band was then scheduled to headline the WinterJam Tour. In January 2012, Skillet announced that they will not be touring for most of the summer so that they can record the new album.[citation needed] They plan to enter the studio at the conclusion of the Winter Jam eastern tour, approximately in May, for a release in late 2012.[35]
On July 18, 2012, in an interview with RadioU, John Cooper stated the band currently had 61 songs written and would be heading into the studio in October to record the album with Howard Benson for an early 2013 release.[citation needed]
In an interview with CCM Magazine, John Cooper described the new album as "a roller coaster ride". He states: "We have aggressive tracks, artsy and musical tracks, which is new territory for Skillet. A couple songs are classic American heartland anthems, and a couple songs are signature symphonic-classical rock Skillet. Guitars are dirty and edgier, with absolute shredding solos by Seth." One of the songs mentioned in the interview was titled "Salvation".
From all the albums I've listened to by them, Awake was by far the best, but Comatose and Collide made close seconds emotion_dowant))
Then I definitely have to hear all of these albums. emotion_dowant ASKJGDLFL. 61 new songs. THATS A LOT. /goes to Youtube

I got an amazing letter last night and just had to share it!

From: An anonymous benefactor Message:
It was one of those nights where you could not sleep. The stillness in the air was thick and heavy like a second blanket over the covers of your bed. It felt like the quiet before a storm. The moments when energy was gathering and gathering until finally it broke loose. You shifted your position trying to find a comfortable spot on your bed. You had been trying to go to sleep for hours now. Judging from a glance at your clock earlier, you figured it to be just slightly passed midnight now. Despite your tired eyes, your body refused to go to sleep. You sighed as you rolled onto your other side and dug your face into the pillows.
You hated nights like these where you could not sleep. Around you, the house was quiet. Even the world outside was in its own slumber. Not even a dog barked or a cricket chirped. Just the silent, ever-present stillness. You were starting to get desperate now to hurry off into sleep. You began to count in your head. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen...
.........
The sensation of falling caused you to jerk awake. Your heart skipped beats. Fear raced through your veins. Your breath was shaky as you quickly sat up. You placed a hand over your heart as if that could steady it from the fast pounding rate it was at current. Breathing hard, you looked around you. You were still on your bed. You had not really been falling... Seconds passed as you tried to relax your tense body. You must have dozed off. Groping with a hand, you found your clock. It was nearly three in the morning now. Rubbing your tired eyes, you stood up from your bed, feeling oddly light, and moved towards the door. You needed to get some water.
The air was cool against your bare skin as you walked down the hallway. Your heartbeat was fast as if you were about to run in a race and your blood seemed to itch. The stillness of the air seemed to be full of...something. You ignored the curious feeling in the air and continued to walk. Even in the silent darkness, you knew the way to the kitchen by heart. The moon must have been a bright one because you could see a luminous soft white glow of moonlight slipping passed the window. You passed a window overlooking the front yard and stopped. For a moment, you stayed statue still. What? Your brows pulled together in puzzlement as you took a few steps back to where the window was.
Your breath was stolen away as you stared wide-eyed out the window. The world was that of pure night outside. The streetlights and houselights were void of any light. Above, the sky was empty of moon or star. Heavy, black darkness coated everything like paint. Even colors seemed to be absorbed by it. The once emerald trees of the day were now muted until only a bare hint of color remained in them. Shadows covered the world. However, none of this was what had filled you with utter surprise.
Small glowing white orbs, the size of baseballs, floated everywhere. Quietly, they drifted down the street, blown by a wind that seemed only known to them. There were thousands of them. Some hovered over front yards, others passed straight through objects as if the objects were not even there, and even more floated, like ships, above the black river that was the street. They glowed like beacons in the obsidian night.
Your body seemed frozen as you stared for what seemed like eternity at those glowing little orbs that floated down the street. You blinked, releasing your body from the spell that paralyzed it. Slowly, not even truly aware of what you were doing, you moved to the front door. You opened it and stepped out into the cool night air. The smell of wet dewy grass greeted you as you walked beside it on the rough grey cement walkway.
This was probably a bad idea. This was probably a dream to begin with. Doubts whispered across your mind, but you ignored them. Carefully shifting to avoid hitting a few orbs drifting nearby, you moved to the street where the main mass of them appeared to be. Looking up and down the street, the white orbs seemed to stretch continuously onwards in both directions. All of them flowed in the same direction like a river.
Curiosity lifted your hand towards an orb that was passing in front of you. For a second, you hesitated, your hand inches from the white glowing orb. You swallowed hard, your heart beating fast, as you gathered your nerves together. Gently, you reached out and touched the white orb. It was warm to the touch as your hand passed through it. This surprised you for some reason. You had thought the orb to be cool or maybe to have no temperature at all. It continued to float away, undisturbed by your action.
The entire scene was like a silent exodus. The hundreds of thousands of orbs continued to drift down the street with no halts or pauses in their progression. In the corner of your eye, a glint of silver drew your attention. Up the street, on the other side, was a person. Your breath slipped away from you for the second time that night as you stared.
It was a girl. Her white hair was the same color as a full moon. Her white ball gown dress shifted in the same wind that moved the orbs. A silver mask hid her eyes as she gazed at the progression of the floating orbs. Her face seemed solemn as she gazed at them, but soon surprise flickered over it as her pale blue eyes met your own. Like a light fading away, her form faded until she was gone.
"What are you doing here?" a voice asked from behind you.
You jumped in surprise as you whirled around to face the speaker. It was the girl in white. Her transparent form hovered a few inches off the ground. You tried to work out something to say but failed.
The Phantom tilted her head slightly, "How did you get here? This place is only for the spirits of the dead as they march from the world of the living to the realm beyond."
Instinctively you apologized as you finally managed to stumble your story out.
She listened intently and nodded when you finished. "Pardon me if I seemed blunt before. It is just a rare thing when the soul of one of the living accidentally slips into this place." the Phantom bowed her head slightly, "I am afraid that you must return back to your own realm now. It is not a good thing for you to remain here."
Words of protest slipped from your mouth; you wanted to explore this place further. To watch the orbs as they gently floated down the street. You had so many questions to ask after all! A dim glow began to appear on the horizon. You stopped talking as you watched it begin to grow brighter. With sudden recognition, you realized it was the rising sun.
"I'm sorry, but you must go," the Phantom said urgently as she noticed the quickly brightening glow on the horizon. Her cool hand slipped into your own as she led you back towards your house. Orange streams of light were beginning to dye the sky blue when you slipped inside your house. The sun was rising fast. Abnormally so.
"Your room?" she hurriedly asked as you reached your home's hallway.
You pointed to a plain door and nearly had to jog to keep up with the Phantom as she moved towards it. Your room was cast in soft shadows as the sky began to turn to a brighter shade of blue and pink blossomed across the sky from the horizon. On your bed, you saw your body sound asleep under the covers. Disorientation flickered through you, but you had no time to think about it as the girl moved you besides it.
The Phantom looked out your window for a second and smiled with relief, "It was close, but we made it." she turned and pushed you onto the bed and onto your sleeping body.
You jerked awake on your bed and quickly sat up. Streams of golden sunlight shot through your window and into your room. Birds chirped outside and lawnmowers roared in the distance. Disorientation filled you. You looked around you for the girl, but she was gone. You sat there for a few moments before numbly looking at the clock once more. Seven in the morning. Images from the black, dark world with the floating white orbs haunted your mind. Did you dream the entire thing? You were not sure. You sat there quietly on your bed trying to make sense of it all.
You shifted in your bed unsure of what to do and your foot kicked against something on the other side. Surprised, you stared at a nicely wrapped present tied with ribbon. A note written in beautiful calligraphy rested on top of it. Picking it up, you gazed down and read:
I'm sorry we had to part so quickly. The rising sun would have stranded you in the world of the spirits. I just wanted to leave this gift with you to make up for it~ You read the note a second time and then a third time. With reluctance, you eventually placed the note back down; a gesture that felt like the ending finality to the adventure you had during the night. The motion made you oddly sad. Endings often are. A cool breeze shifted through the air and the feeling of being watched washed over you. You could not see her, but you knew the Phantom was still present. Your mouth slowly quirked into a smile. Maybe the adventure was not over after all... ---- Phantom Anon

/is currently halfway into Awake DAMN. All of those songs are just topping my favorites list. O: Especially "One Day Too Late and "Awake and Alive". > < Since an album is usually 10 ~ 15 songs, hopefully about 70~100% of the songs are from that 61 selection~ c:
Edit: "Lucy" just topped everything I just heard. o - o

Perhaps I can interest you in a story? You'll need, however, a certain amount of bravery and a stomach for a horrifying travesty.

I know I should say no, but shoot for it. sweatdrop
"Ah, thank you, sir. I would be grateful to eat anything right now, as long as there is a lot of it, except bugs, I've had quite enough of those for a while." She finishes what is left of her hot chocolate and clears her throat. "So, would you like to hear a story?"
-- Lady Lazarus
"You're welcome. You poor soul! You were eating bugs?," he shudders, "I may come from a foreign place, but bugs are things I wouldn't even try to eat!" He starts making spaghetti with meatballs, adding selected spices and some purple onions. The aroma fills the room with a heavenly scent as he fries a few things and heats the sauce in a pan. "Sure, if you're willing to share it."

The person in charge claims that you must continue every time he gets an answer wrong. What will you do?

What would happen if I refuse? Am I the one asking questions? If so, I would ask him really easy questions.
